Comments on "On The Street......Milan"
Not often you see a lady of a certain age carry a balenciaga bag, AND makes it look chic, how is that possible?
She is amazing.
Love. Sleek, all black. Love
How do they all manage looking so good? I love the slouchiness of the clothes and bag which don't take away from her elegance at all.
of a certain age?? what is that? more than 25?
Yeah, really dislike it when people refer to "women of a certain age," which implicitly salutes youth as THE measure.
Not meaning to mount the PC soapbox, but would people refer to "men of a certain age," in other than an ironic way?
Nope.
Woman here looks great. In some ways it IS better to be young; but sometimes age is besides the point...
This "lady of a certain age" still enjoys carrying her Balenciaga bag.
The woman in the picture does indeed pull of the whole look quite well.
Love the balance of masculine and feminine, here. Strong face, hair, pants, watch, shoe, stance, just right.
This woman has a lot going for her even without the clothes.
I like the watch on her wrist. I don't know about the shoes. Somehow they seem a bit off. Not that I can think of what kind of open toed shoes would look better.
I also like the ease of the shirt with the pants.
I'd also add that it's a great picture. The long tall woman with the street posts in the background!
But she's Susanna Cucco!!! the art director of Les Dieux du Stade. Of course elle est très chic!
How old is a "lady of a certain age?"
I love this look; it's right up my alley. I think it's a nice example of what's called the "new minimalism". It's amazing what the "proper" basics can do.
she's very chic - a masculine edge but she still looks very approachable
Love...those...shoes!
mltt
OMG, the shoes, the shoes, the shoes!!!!!
As a woman "of a certain age" myself, I will say that I wouldn't trade being older for being younger on any day whatsoever. The gift of confidence that comes with age is a powerful accessory.
I don't think The Sartorialist meant it in a negative way when he refers to her as "a lady of a certain age".
She looks fantastic! Love her short sleek hair, which matches her sleek, simple, clean style.
stunning- love you S.
I find this woman more striking than any other woman on the current scroll... as Coco Chanel said, if there is no woman, there is no dress. A minimal palette is perfect for this Modigliani muse - and the tan feet, what glorious life does she lead?
If it weren't for the shoes, I would have thought . . Wow, this is a chic man!
Did she then get on the bike?
