Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:22 AM) :

Mcqueen suit
RED BIRKIN BAG
Ooooh la la...she' probably wearing 5 - 10,000 dollars worth of stuff but she doesn't really look it. It's understated chic though....i guess that's a good thing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 AM) :

Me encanta ¡parece una española en NY!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 AM) :

Damn!

the legs, the heels, the silhouette . . . . . and then, when you're still reeling, the knockout blow of those dimples in the middle of that luminous skin...

Damn.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 AM) :

Nice suit!

Blogger in defense of retail therapy said ... (9:30 AM) :

so nice to see mcqueen's tailoring in action.

Blogger Butch said ... (9:31 AM) :

If you've got the bod, McQueen has the...well, in this case, suit. Absolutely fetching!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 AM) :

killer! a head-to-toe knockout, and the way that skirt fits her is outrageous. how long do you figure it took her to get a cab?

Blogger mademoisellelala said ... (9:41 AM) :

What a classy look. Makes me want to tailor my own suits and get some sexier heels!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:52 AM) :

What a beautiful and charming woman...!!!
She could be the daughther of the old man of yesterday...

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (10:08 AM) :

Pencil skirt and heels - fabulous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 AM) :

Now that is a great looking, beautiful, and classy woman! I would love to know more about her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 AM) :

Great shot! Gorgeous woman looking fab - that suit! I would have liked to see a less UES-predictable bag than the Birkin, though. Picky, picky...
(of course, I'd be happy to give the Birkin a nice new home - my home)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 AM) :

Lovely. Good to see a shot of a woman in a suit for a change.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 AM) :

Beautiful and classy. I love it.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:04 AM) :

Once again, classic elegance prevails...and with the sexy black pumps, possibly Jimmy Choo or Manolos, Fabulous! The splash of red completes the outfit! Love it!

Blogger serpah said ... (11:22 AM) :

This is how you should deal with the more monochromatic themes in conservative colors. Add a little life with a red bag! And what a bag...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:49 AM) :

I wish I could look that good when I go out on the town

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:26 PM) :

beautiful outfit , love the cut , love the color .... great pic Sart !!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:26 PM) :

I love that the red of the bag stands out so much. I bet she carries it every day.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:35 PM) :

Elegant.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 PM) :

Oh, my. This is what I'd like to be when I grow up. She uses neutrals well, and the Birkin gives a great pop of color.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:20 PM) :

what a sexy powerwoman... like it alot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:46 PM) :

She is taking some chances standing in the middle of rush hour traffic . . . but she is certainly doing it in style. Alexander McQueen is quite simply phenomenal! I love his clothes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:13 PM) :

thanks for featuring a woman of color. I see so many of them with amazing style every day. they can wear color in ways that their paler counterparts could never pull off. i'd like to see more black lady style on here. you do a great job with the harlem sartorialists, now get up there on a sunday and let's see some big hats and bright suits!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:58 PM) :

A great look! And even though the suit is very conservative, it still shows off her beautiful legs! (*not a sexist comment, really! ... I'm just an envious woman.*)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:55 PM) :

WOWEEEEE!! I would drink this woman's bathwater... Simply stunning tailoring and styling, the suit being a perfect compliment to her figure. It is wonderful to see a latina or woman of color, dressed to the nines, appreciated in this blog. Kudos, Sart!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:26 PM) :

um, that's a birkin-style bag, but it's not the hermes birkin.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:40 PM) :

looking again at that bag -- now i think that it actually is hermes. the proportions are odd, though. did hermes come out with a new size in the birkin? sart, you were at the show -- was there a new model?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:45 PM) :

I agree with anon 2:13 Sart. It's too bad that more black women haven't been featured here, although the last few days have been great.

And I also like to see everyday stylish creative people more than the professional fashionistas or very rich. But they can be fun too.

Blogger DK said ... (6:22 PM) :

This is absolutely perfect. My favorite pic yet. She is absolutely gorgeous.

Blogger Lady Apple said ... (6:46 PM) :

gorgeous! love how her skirt fits so nicely!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:15 PM) :

brava, what a fantastic suit, she looks fantastic - less fashion-y than so many women on this blog, but just as chic and stylish.

positively the same dame - it looks like a birkin to me... albeit one with the flap tucked in (the most practical way to carry one) and a little over-full....please elaborate if we're all wrong though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:38 PM) :

To positively the same dame 5:26 pm; It's Real.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 PM) :

she is what i want to be when i grow up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:14 PM) :

gorgeous silhouette... look at her legs, the way they look with those heels...

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:10 PM) :

Who is she!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:30 PM) :

A Queen Bee in McQueen!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 PM) :

Now that's why we live in NYC! Sexy, modern, strong...and gorgeous. And hailing a cab no less.

God I love New York.

Blogger moosj said ... (10:30 PM) :

Love the suit, the shoes, the red bag, her hair. Love it all.

Blogger The Vintagent said ... (2:30 AM) :

I really like the fact that she's wearing the down payment on a house, but doesn't look ostentatious; she just looks great. I always have to work the other way, trying to make those flea market jackets look like a million bucks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:46 AM) :

shannon--

yes, you're right -- i thought it might be some new hermes hybrid -- a sort of cross between the gaultier and 35mm birkin, but it's just full and therefore pulled a bit wide, making it look a bit blocky.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:19 AM) :

Perfect. This proves how much impact a great below-the-knee pencil skirt can have.

Blogger bonnie said ... (9:23 AM) :

Bette Porter come to life

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:56 AM) :

the look would be nothing without THE bag.
am happy i see red bags everywhere, i'm still carrying my huge red celine from last spring!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:46 AM) :

You have to love a woman in a fitted knee length skirt and high heels. Few things are more attractive than that!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:24 PM) :

Obviously a woman to be reckoned with and she's doing it in heels and a hubba-hubba suit. Fully engaged and engaging.... mommies let your girls to grow up to be this chick.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:40 PM) :

some looks are better than others and some are just one step above. This fantastic lady, together with the gentleman with leopard gloves and the couple "grey&green at tiffany's" , is definitely part of the "superior" group!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:21 PM) :

Absoloutely gorgeous. Radiant. Beautiful. Wears her clothing elegantly and with ease. I would love to see more of her and her style. Photos like this would only enhance this blog?

Who is this dynamic looking woman?

Blogger Gudl said ... (6:34 PM) :

Quelle chique!! (I don't know whether that is spelled right, but that is what I thought when I saw the photo) That is so classic chique.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:34 PM) :

it's not so much the clothes as who and how you wear it.... this woman could be wrap in a burlap sack tight and still look splendid...why, with that bod, the hair, skin, smile....everything about her exudes sensuality and that it's powerful..... really, what a change from all the other ladies portrayed here....no offense, but not many carry themselves the way this one does....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:43 AM) :

Simply perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 AM) :

Her name is Crystal McCrary Anthony. She is a lawyer and an author. She co-hosted The View on Friday, November 10. She also co-hosted My Two Cents on Bet J. She is very stylish lady.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (6:58 PM) :

WOW, what a woman!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 AM) :

Sexy, yet no nonsense utilitarian chic. Less is more at it's finest. So NY!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:15 PM) :

This is her website. I read Gotham Diaries, the book she co-authored with Spike Lee's wife. Ms. Anthony is also ESPN NBA Analyst Greg Anthony's ex-wife. She is the kind of woman I want to marry, beauty, intelligence, humility, etc.

Crystal is funny, down to earth, so sexy, highly intelligent, incredibly articulate and looks like a million dollars. I LOVE her on "My Two Cents" nd now I'm motivated to read her two books.

I really like the look on Ms. Anthony. It is professional looking, but yet sexy. It looks very good on her.

Blogger GVG said ... (12:51 AM) :

If my eyes don't deceive me this is Crystal McCrary Anthony. She’s an Attorney/ Television personality/ Producer/ Author, wow that was more slashes then I thought it would be. Could you see the excitement as I wrote that out? I am so madly in love with this woman and the aura she exudes, a beautiful, intelligent, sophisticated, stylish black woman. Who says Claire Huxtable is a fictional character?

~ Gardy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 PM) :

She's BEAUTIFUL! And yes, I have to agree. Claire Huxtable at her finest. Werk!
