Dear Scott, I have just bought Vogue Brasil and there are 2 pages talking about The Sartorialist. It is really great. Congratulations one more time.

this is cool to be the firts one to add an comment

I think both of them lokes great but the girl to the right lokes extra good

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (8:00 AM) :

Kewl. Both look great. Blue coat woman's look is somehow very retro, very working woman mid 70s...

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (8:01 AM) :

By working girl I mean actually working...in an office...not the other kind...

I really the scarf tucked in underneath the coat and the collar worn up. The skirt sticking out under teh double breasted grey jacket is totally endearing. I love the chunky scarf, but unfortunetly in Oz scarfs and big coats aren't experimented with often. Its those little details or accidentals that finish it off. Oh, and the cigarette.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:54 AM) :

Enough with the scarves. We get it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:56 AM) :

I love that scarf!

Blogger Kelli said ... (8:58 AM) :

The young lady on the right looks like she could be pretty & pulled together but I don't understand why she left the house wearing her sofa throw. Granted, the pattern & colors look cool but it drowns her out and I'm left wondering who is buried underneath?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 AM) :

Bulky scarf? No.
Maybe if it were colorful it would fly. But in the monochrome it is just dull. She could use the excess to cover her head in shame.

The one on the left is lovely in her understated grace. The cigarette as accessory works for this gritty street scene.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 AM) :

Looks like a young Hillary Clinton on the right!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:45 AM) :

Is that a scarf or a python? It looks life-threatening!
And the cigarette sadly is.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 AM) :

dear scott i want to know one things what's the sartorialist mean ?????

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:49 AM) :

that scarf is just too big. I like the girl on the left's look though

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:27 PM) :

I think were the hair more tidy the gianormous scarf would be more striking.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

The scarf (right) is over-the-top big, but I like that. Once I saw a boy walking around in the dead of winter wrapped up in a huge antique Kashmir paisley shawl, probably bedspread size. It was stunning, in a good way, and probably really warm.

Those brown boots are beautiful, too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:16 PM) :

Scarfs and cigarettes; very sophisticated, very European.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:09 PM) :

that scarf is too big, it looks like a bed blanket...don't like.
but I like her boots, muy lindas !!!

Blogger bonnie said ... (3:23 PM) :

the girl on the left reminds me of lady vengeance..minus the pink eyeshadow!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:44 PM) :

that is not a scarf on the girl on the right. it is a blanket.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:09 PM) :

the one on the right--very sexy. love the thin legs and boots. and i like how she's wearing the blanket around her neck. hehe

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:15 PM) :

these girls are european fo sho

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:37 PM) :

is that lindsay on the left?

Blogger Hebden said ... (9:46 PM) :

The sheer, overwhelming volume of the scarf is wonderful...

Blogger Last Day Emails said ... (10:45 PM) :

What, really? I LOVE the girl on the right for wearing the blanket/scarf. It's whimsical and daring but so subtle that you wonder if she didn't even intend for it to be whimsical or daring... which is the best part! It's cartoonish and exaggerated and not ...immediately attractive in the conventional sense, sure. But that's why I love and live in New York...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 AM) :

"kikia" sould come to Melbourne (Australia) there is a lot of scarf experimentation going on!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:14 AM) :

the woman on the right with the large, hated by many, scarf is creating a beautiful sculpture of herself...if it can work in couture...why not try and make volume work on the street?

I certainly don't think that she is hiding her face, I see it quite clearly.

THe once thing that bugs me about the woman on the left, is that the boots end and the skirst start at the same height....I prefer either overlap or some leg shown....

Blogger bethyb said ... (8:11 PM) :

Wow, people are getting nasty in these comments.

I love the huge scarf and the double breasted grey coat on the right; the blue coat on the left is lovely too. They make a nice pair.

Blogger Q said ... (6:49 PM) :

Please pile it on! I love scarves. I swear, that thing's an afghan (not a person from Afghanistan).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:19 PM) :

Oh, i love that coat!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:38 PM) :

the outfit on the right is wonderful! i love the purple trim on the humongous grey scarf

Blogger Deanna said ... (12:00 AM) :

That scarf is utterly ridiculous. I'm sure she can't even look down or turn her head, or talk to anyone without her mouth being swallowed up by her scarf.

I'm all for the 'plentiful scarf' look, but I think there needs to be a limit..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:04 AM) :

Wow, is the girl on the right real? She's so a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!
She looks like a character in a manga...
The scarf, the posture, the coat, the shoes, the facial expression... so self confident!
So cute! ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:54 PM) :

They must be from Russia.I recognize the eastern-europe style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:14 PM) :

They're Finnish tourists.
