In The Window......At Domenico Vacca

Domenico always does a great job using strong color and doing it a way that is still very masculine

OK, that top suit is seriously beautifully cut! I'll have one in every colour thanks.

that's an interesting-looking knot on the tie

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 PM) :

the matching of colors between tie/scarf and pocket square is a little too obvious and boring.

the cut of the overcoat is absolutely fantastic.

Blogger Butch said ... (8:36 PM) :

Coat is beautifully shaped--but not terribly keen on the palette, actually, nor on the tie knot that seems to have been swallowed by the collar.

But perhaps that's due to a rampant knot-tie display, a not uncommon selling manoeuvre, it seems, and on the viewer's perspective....

Here again we have the pocket square in the overcoat.

I love it and will be employing it immediately.

Love it ... especially the tie and the raspberry/mullberry (colour?) scarf ... but just one quibble: the matching pocket squares seems to be trying just a bit too hard. Be a bit daring and go a bit off the beaten track with a different colour that compliments the tie or scarf.

beatiful beatiful beatiful
DV is the master
chic elegant and so contemporary!
i would love to see more Domenico Vacca in the Sartorialist

Those are beautiful! I wish I could afford them...

Blogger Just an Observation said ... (11:24 PM) :

Absolutely love them both....beautiful colors all around ...the colors add a good amount "interestingness" and beautiful earth tones ....which I l think are always a good choice when trying to play with some strong colors.
What is thhe fabriic on the sportcoat...thee top coat is obviously wool.

Thanks as always Sar....

I like the way the scarf is tied as an ascot instead of the "hacking" knot. It's much more masculine. A raspberry scarf tied in the hacking fashion would be much too feminine -- for some reason, pictures of Jennifer Aniston in People Magazine come to mind.

that coat with beautifully coloured scarf, I want it for my husband for Christmas! It is so much nicer when men wear coats and suits and all that. Just the other day I was watching Oceans Twelve and I could leave my eyes on...their clothes!

Love DV!

Wish we had a close-up on the shirt/tie. I'd be interested to see what's really going on with the shirt.

Is that the Onassis knot? I love DV. Conservative but very contemporary. The colors are always great!

I do not agree with slengei at all that if one has money to buy theses cloths one is automaticly stylish..the one in the cloths has to have a style of of his own as in personality, poise and posture, those three cost nothing but are worth everything to make up "style".
Money has nothing to do with style!!!

Some Sartorialist fan needs to create a tie-tying Web site that uses real photography, good graphic design, and beautiful ties. The Internet is seriously lacking in this regard. The sites I found all look like they were posted in 1994. Clip art...ecchh.

That's one thing I'd like to second Mr. Sartorialist. It's very easy to look good when you have $10,000 to sepnd but what if you only have $1,000?

How about finding us some good clothes with decent prices like they have over in Milan?

I've always wondered why they can't have Milan prices here? Our standards of living are not that far off of each other?
