Best Of Season.....That Girl in Milan

A lot of actresses are called the next Audrey Hepburn but I think this young lady is the closest thing I've ever seen.

Blogger Laura said ... (7:17 AM) :

beautiful girl with an awful jeans!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:40 AM) :

she's cute. but the jeans dont need to be up around her ears.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:48 AM) :

Her high-waisted skinny jeans are great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:54 AM) :

Great pictures Sart!!!
she is so nice, cute and sexy!! but really simple at the same time.
For me this is the prof that the understatement (less is more) is always the best choice!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:04 AM) :

in love with her haircut and that smile! she's pretty even if she's a little bit too thin...

Blogger in defense of retail therapy said ... (8:35 AM) :

too adorable. commenting on her smile just seem superfluous and fall short really....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 AM) :

Oh my goodness she is gorgeous and I absolutley agree, Audrey-esque! I only wish I could cut my hair like that. I love your blog Scott and rely on it for my fix every day of NY & Europe and i've been loving the recent shots of my very own London.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:56 AM) :

I'm in love... she's simple in a way, and divine in all the others. Sartorialist, you have an amazing eye! Congratulations

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (9:02 AM) :

Excellent.

Purple shirt with ever-so-slightly Peter-Pan-like collar: heavenly complement to her gamine hair.

Black patent ballet flats: awesome. They look great with the high-waisted skinny jeans and big cropped jacket.

Beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:07 AM) :

Absolutely stunning. I think she's wearing Cheap Monday Eiffel Towers in the second shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:23 AM) :

Who is she??

Blogger Lily said ... (9:30 AM) :

she's darling...the hair, clothes, gamine smile. Everything works. What's her name?

Blogger MARIA H said ... (9:35 AM) :

She is so cute!
Love her face and hair. Small framed faces have a very inocent appeal.
I personally find that comparing people with famous personas is efficient in creating an idea of how one likes somebody. But I think she is more interesting being her self, than a comparison to gorgeous Hepburn.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 AM) :

She's darling... darling enough to keep my eyes on her face and off of those HIGH-waisted trousers.

Blogger RoseAG said ... (9:45 AM) :

You had someone else in high waisted trousers. Is that the coming thing from Milan?

Can I stop fretting over my muffin tops in low waists--- please????

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:28 AM) :

I do not like jeans on girls, even models....
Love her look, she does remind me of Audrey altjoug too much to be really new...in that sense I prefer Christy Turlington.

Blogger Nia said ... (10:32 AM) :

Yet another great haircut. So many women are attached to the long-hair look, but I think short hair makes everything more stylish. She's dressed very simply, yet she looks so, so cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:54 AM) :

cherubic, sexy, absolutely beautiful. i love the way she is dressed and her hair is so perfect for her. if she wasn't so charming she'd be envy-inspiring. okay, that's a lie. she is seriously, deeply envy-inspiring, but so charming i can forgive her. well, in time, and with the help of my therapist.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:56 AM) :

Que monisima! I loooove the high-waisted-mens-trouserISh action! If it suits you and you know it, go bebe! And the hair! What can I say, this one has it for THE BESTs.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 AM) :

If these and the pics of the woman a few posts down don't prove once and for all that short hair is infinitely more chic than long, I don't know what will.

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (11:18 AM) :

I love her hair - she is so cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:29 PM) :

Oh I'm in love! She is just too cute!
/Sophie from Sweden

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:34 PM) :

She's a beautiful girl, but a lot of the way we see her is because of the way you photographed her. The first and third pictures are among the most beautiful things I have ever seen here- she gives new meaning to the term 'easy grace'.
What is it about Italy, some of your best pictures seem to come from there- I still can't forget the one of the house painter with the scarf around his neck.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:51 PM) :

Sart- I thought exactly the same thing- she has something of Audrey Hepburn in her -before I was even able to scroll down to your comment! I have to say, I love her haircut and very sweet smile- those two elements make her style playful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 PM) :

Fully agree, and she's doing it very well too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:25 PM) :

She's cute, her hair is great and everything... but the jeans are just horrible.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:31 PM) :

I love the high-waisted look. Boy, she's gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:38 PM) :

Girl is adorable. The chest covering jeans and pants are not.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 PM) :

Less Hepburn. More Taylor than anything else. Do like the high waisted pants on her.

mltt

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:22 PM) :

those jeans are incredible! she looks amazing! i've never seen someone who could pull off the really high waisted denim without looking forced. i am in love.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:44 PM) :

I like those lacy knit top things if they're done right, like this one. A sort of half-way house between boulevard and boudoir.

Blogger Laurence John said ... (2:58 PM) :

as a vintage freak i like high waists. the last pair look great. but the high waist on the tight jeans looks very wrong.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:40 PM) :

The smile; the individual clothes; the body langauge; the hair; and, again, the smile. WHO is she? WHERE is she? Damn I need a glass of wine now... In love, again. Scott - you're a blessing and a curse with these images of such adorable, stylish ladies. But I'll forgive you... if you PLEASE show us more photos of Giovanni B!...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:42 PM) :

She is so lovely! And she looks nice..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:22 PM) :

WOW!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:29 PM) :

Are you going to tell us who she is? Although I will settle for knowing what the blue cord coming from her mobile phone is all about.

Blogger jawcey said ... (4:48 PM) :

those high-waisted jeans are horrible, but if anyone can make them work, she can - absolutely adorable!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:10 PM) :

she's beautiful. Nothing wrong with her outfits either

Blogger 'signorina' said ... (5:39 PM) :

I have to cut my hair.

Blogger marie said ... (5:47 PM) :

In the bottom photo, the pants are a tad too high on the waist. This is my favorite of the three.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:03 PM) :

she loves her phone

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:07 PM) :

She's cute, but stylish? Nah! Those jeans are excreable

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:00 PM) :

so interesting...the jeans here appear to be nearly as controversial as the cape was on the guy in the east village. why don't you post something funky by issey miyake or cdg -- you, know, an asymetrical sweater with, like, three arms or something -- and really get people all worked up. i liked the cape just fine, thank you, and i absolutely love the jeans, but those red bloomers yesterday...ick. different strokes, eh
folks?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:07 PM) :

o-my-god.
so frickin cute and amazingly stylish. i looooove the outfit with the high waisted jeans.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:08 PM) :

where are her flats from?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:01 PM) :

her lightness, natural pose and beauty is reminescent to me of jean seberg, she is absolutely divine, i feel in love with her geekiness the first time i saw her in brown pants up to her breast, oh and that hair....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:09 PM) :

i can tell you have a crash on the girl....it's the way you've framed her in the b&W, but it's ok she is the ideal of beauty personified......

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:52 PM) :

people either love or hate those dang jeans...I will count myself among the "hate them" club, although the girl is 8 kinds of gorgeous, especially in the middle picture where her face looks so tan. i hope this does not make everyone go out and cut their hair short, it is only because this girl is beautiful with delicate features that the short hair works so well on her but believe me not everyone can pull it off!! even felicity had a hard time

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 PM) :

her face is captivating... she makes me smile

Blogger MARIA H said ... (12:08 AM) :

She is cute in spite of her high waist jeans AND pants! Not that high waist pants (and jeans) are the problem, perhaps not very flattering for her figure. But even with unflatering pants, her smile, and her grace are making her memorable. If she was my sister, I will do something to those pants...specially the denim ones...grandpa cut anybody?

Blogger ontheMARC said ... (1:33 AM) :

whats her name? cant wait to watch out for her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:55 AM) :

Oh boy! What an angel! but...the jeans, the jeans...no,no,no.

Blogger Anastasia said ... (2:00 AM) :

Wow she is beautiful - I love her style too
look how petite she is...reminds me of an elf almost! in a good way....cool jeans! super high!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:19 AM) :

her name is Eva Fontanelli, Elle Italia.
I read it on "Velvet". page 324.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:31 AM) :

As has been said before she is stunning, and it appears so natural and effortless... but does anyone else things she looks ageless too? On the one hand she looks sweet and girlish, but on the other so elegant and classic that it's hard to pick her age - in my eyes she could be anywhere from 18 to 38!
Also, I think people should sometimes be braver to make the chop and go for a shorter hairstyle... You can have long, beautiful locks but the focus will always be on your hair, whereas a good shorter cut, will put the focus on you and your features in the best possible way... Don't be scared people! Just my thought for the day :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:33 AM) :

Ma non andavano i pantaloni a vita bassa? Bellezza rovinata..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:28 AM) :

love her jeans! fits her perfectly, she´s so relaxed and yet perfect...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

she's like a thinner, younger Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:17 PM) :

Yes Sartorialist you are right, Eva is always an icon!

Blogger Trendy Jorge said ... (11:57 AM) :

I think I'm in love. Not just with the girl but with the overall look. You're right, she's the new Audrey!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 PM) :

I love the high-waisted trousers. She made an I Love Lucy staple look chic.

Blogger fashion in theory said ... (10:35 PM) :

i think she's gorgeous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:39 PM) :

LOVE the high waisted pants

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

fresh ,new and the most important: personal

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:56 AM) :

she's lovely and the skinny are great with those ballerina shoes :-)
Italian women are just the best when they want it ;-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:36 AM) :

Maybe his father or a relative (Paolo F., 50 years old) his CEO at Furla. Not sure, however.

Blogger FASHION CHALET said ... (12:34 PM) :

Her hair is so cute I was just reading my Audrey book last night. CHIC! She does remind me of her, especially in Sabrina! :)

Who is she?
