the shoes complete both. great choices. i agree.

Blogger Rafe Totengco said ... (10:29 AM) :

Love a good olive wellie on a rainy day.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 AM) :

This photo brings up a good question: What are the best shoes to wear in the rain/snow and still look stylish? I'd be interested to hear everyone's suggestions.

Blogger Stratos Bacalis said ... (11:12 AM) :

Love the top guy, I dress like that usuall at this time of year, only better sneakers (Pirelli). His hair looks great too.
The bottom one is good for a walk at the Englis hcountryside, not for downtown...I can see people falling down laughing seeing someone dressed like this in the city...

Blogger Camille Acey said ... (11:16 AM) :

I would never have thought that top look would work but for some reason on him it does. He looks so casual and thrown together, yet sexy.

The bottom look I don't care for. Too much of a jumble.

Blogger Butch said ... (11:17 AM) :

Hmmmm. Everything's fine with the dress of the guy at the bottom until...we...get to the boots, I'd say.

A Manhattan street, whatever it's potential peril to crossers, isn't a bog. The boots turn the look into self-conscious costuming....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:04 PM) :

i prefer the guy wearing the wellies

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:25 PM) :

The most arresting part of the 2nd gentleman's look is that killer smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:42 PM) :

both very nice looks.

the guy with the camel v-neck...a csual look but nicely dressed up and with great personal style....the shirt sleeves pushed halfway up and the cuffs turned. Can't tell what color shirt he as on ....looks like a faint lavender..if so even better.. a favorite color for me personally.

Mr. Rainman ...also great ...waterproof top coat with epaulets for a military detail tied into military colored rubber boots and khaki pants ...well done given the height and his long hair.

Thx Sar.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 PM) :

I hope he just came from mucking stalls or the fish market, otherwise those boots and clothes look very contrived, especially in an urban setting.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:51 PM) :

Huh? Both these photos should've been cropped as to hide the footwear. Or was that what we were trying to feature here?

If those galoshes were rubber equestrian inspired riding boots...THEN we on to something!

Still love your blog....keep up the shooting!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 PM) :

The boy on in the first photo - I love his modern take on the classic prep look.

Blogger . ABOUT FASHION . said ... (1:09 PM) :

I loved the first one! The shirt under the v-neck sweater is really good, and the tenis too. On the second one I liked the boots, but not with does kind of baggy pants...

Blogger emla said ... (1:26 PM) :

Yeah, Sam, you look great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:59 PM) :

I recall Justin Timberlake rocking a similar outfit as that of the first photo, back in late August, when he was in NYC to promote the single 'Sexyback'; and people were like asking: why was he wearing *so* much clothing in summer?!

I guess when it comes to looking good, Style Always Triumphs Over comfort.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:04 PM) :

loving the wellies.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:25 PM) :

I am now going to buy a camel colored v-neck for the boyfriend.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 PM) :

yes to the top pic, no to the second. the second outfit looks a little schizophrenic - dressed for either fly-fishing or the office and cldn't decide which.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:54 PM) :

That's Bob from Ralph Lauren in the wellies! Always a stunner....

Blogger EM said ... (3:03 PM) :

yeah i love them two. i actually saved the first one onto my computer for reference.

Blogger Jonathon Morgan said ... (3:10 PM) :

Hooray for Wellingtons!

Blogger Claire said ... (3:43 PM) :

Sorry, I don't see rain and hence I refute the Wellies.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:24 PM) :

Too bad it doesn't rain much in San Diego, otherwise I'd be sportin' Wellies more often :)

Blogger annie said ... (4:27 PM) :

wow! that top look is fantastic! these days, i'm growing rather tired of the sloppy, over-layered look of female hipster fashion and am so much more inspired by men's fashion, and this fellow's look is casual, smart, and timeless.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:17 PM) :

the first one is great, but i would actually stalk the second guy ;-)

Blogger Rex said ... (6:16 PM) :

Love the first one! His look shows his great sense of style but at the same time it looks effortless. It's what makes him stand out from all the overdressed men you see on the streets these days.
And without a doubt your photography makes it look even better!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 AM) :

that first one is HOTT!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 PM) :

oh sam, you are so hot... strangers are right clicking your image and saving it for later. loves it.

Blogger Scoutj said ... (10:28 PM) :

Wow. Really with the boots??

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 AM) :

Something about the top image reminds me of the Bee Gees. I think it is his necklace paired with his hair. I dig it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:04 AM) :

not a fan of the gold necklace at the top, and the guy at the bottom, what's wrong with a good pair of leather boots? those things are so uncomfortable, save them for the farm.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:09 AM) :

OMG....Where is the sartorialism? It has GONE! These are two of the most pedestrian, boring looks from NYC is you ask me.

Blogger Zaydoun said ... (5:40 PM) :

My very favorite sweater that everyone identifies with me is a light wool camel v-neck from John Smedley, with a very light cable effect on the front. I wear it with everything

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:23 PM) :

the second guy with the long hair is HOT!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:57 PM) :

LOVE GUYS IN WELLIES ALSO

LOVE TO SEE ANY GUY IN WELLIES VERY NICE
