This is fun, the before and after look, wonder what the paintings look like or maybe he's only dressing the part? Interesting...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:30 AM) :

Relaxed, effortlessly stylish and utterly dishy. Where do I need to be to meet this man?
Thanks, Sart!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 AM) :

the painter got a tan ;p

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:37 AM) :

Attainable style. Quite nice.

mltt

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (9:46 AM) :

Very nice. Love the fit of his suit and the all-black with just a small white detail. Again his hair/styling looks good too.

Blogger RoseAG said ... (10:01 AM) :

Compared to the guy in all black in 'Greenwich Village' I thing this guy has a lot more going. His head and facial hair is much friendlier.

We have a lot of photos with guys in those white athletic shoes, but I like the brown boots, even though they are scuffy looking, much better.

Great shot.

Blogger .......... said ... (10:07 AM) :

what versatile shoes! love both looks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 AM) :

très mignon ce peintre...

Blogger Butch said ... (10:24 AM) :

Nice layering, then and now, and the shoes do merit a close-up. It's fun when wear and
use--in this case, splattered shoes--personalize dress attractively.

Blogger Petya K. Grady said ... (10:52 AM) :

I love that even though the new outfit is so different from the first one and so cleaned up, he is still himself and doesn't look like he's wearing costume.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:12 AM) :

I liked the whole outfit on the part 2 of the painter.
Really nice with the white contrast.

what a friggin hottie. i luv his style for a guy. classic, modern, perfect cuts, perfect face, etc...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:17 AM) :

Incredibly sexy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:46 AM) :

wow this is a great look.
not childishly trendy or over the top stuffy.
who is this man??

Blogger MARIA H said ... (11:51 AM) :

how many guys with mustache are sexy?
maybe two...This guy, and somebody else somewhere. This is in deed my idea of a sexy man: relaxed yet totally refined in a personal way.

Blogger Laurence John said ... (11:58 AM) :

he was cool then and he's still cool now.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:47 PM) :

I like part II better. He seems happier, his hair style is more coiffed, nice tan. Perhaps he just returned from vacation or sold a few paintings (painted a few apartments??)
No matter, just a good look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 PM) :

god i love this guy -- LOVE him. this is one of those people who just has it, whatever "it" is. great style, great fit, great great great.

Blogger What's Haute said ... (3:47 PM) :

i don't like the wrinkled pants.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:58 PM) :

what do his paintings look like?

Blogger 'signorina' said ... (6:30 PM) :

Too, too cute! Agree with Littelst Jones - can't normally do moustaches, but this guy is too cute - in a gallic way, somehow - to pass up!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:35 PM) :

this dude's on your site twice and i've not made it here....i better get over to nyc QUICK

Blogger Hebden said ... (9:31 PM) :

What's sexier or cooler than a man in a rumpled suit? Well, ok...not every guy in a rumpled suit but when the suit is just right and rumpled...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:30 PM) :

It's, it's, it's ... Frank Zappa!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:40 AM) :

yeay, the painter! he's so god damn cute! is he single? haha:

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:23 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 PM) :

Agree with María ...relaxed , refined and seeexy !!!!

Thank you ,Sart !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:34 PM) :

he used to be a bartender at schiller's and employees only (where the city's other hot mustachioed men reside). and, yes, he's scrumptious in person.

Blogger Resplendato said ... (2:40 PM) :

He rolls up his trousers above the ankle..to accentuate his boots..(or is it to keep paint from splattering on them?) It's a great look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:25 PM) :

Cute AND stylish, AND artistic? Nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 PM) :

This guy is a total fox. He's dripping with personal style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:56 PM) :

In response to lit's question:

I believe the painter is wearing the Barbour Bedale jacket in part I. This is a shorter model wax jacket, especially suited for equestrian use.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 PM) :

does anyone know where those boots in the earlier, spring photo are from?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:33 PM) :

Paint on the shoes. Class. I'm going for it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:23 PM) :

Nice photos...
The painter... hehe...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:25 AM) :

any idea what type of boots those are, i need them.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:47 AM) :

yes, he is cool

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 AM) :

C'est INCROYABLE !!!!! J'ADORE!!!!

Blogger heidiaddisonhem said ... (8:53 AM) :

If I was a guy, I would want to look like this! Simple, elegant, mysterious and nonchalant. The trousers in the suit has a perfect fit!

Blogger A Wild Score said ... (8:09 AM) :

SPRING:
The barbour jacket fits perfectly. As you can see from his right arm he has been forced to sacrifice some sleeve length for correct fit on the body but has allowed for this by wearing a suitably cuffed sweater underneath. This same effect would not have resulted from a light sweater vest being worn under the jacket as his wrists would have seemed "bare".
I can't locate it at the moment but I think I've seen a similar jacket on the Jeweller in a later post

Blogger Mark Harris said ... (4:13 PM) :

This is the fit/cut of clothes that as a man I like to wear. Classic and hard to find, usually.

Anonymous photoTristan said ... (10:03 PM) :

I really dig his boots, a well worn pair of Alden 405s. Perfectly distressed likely by himself, the way distressed items should be!
