What a cool sweater! Must... copy...

i just don't understand that cardigan. i'm a cardigan lover from the womb and i just don't understand that cardigan.

She looks like a very nice person, but her clothes and bag aren't flattering. They're just too baggy and formless. And the asymmetry on top of that..no.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 AM) :

Is this a CDG ensemble? I 'get' the cardigan but it really would look so much nicer if it actually fit in the shoulders and sleeves. As it is, this outfit is very unflattering.

Hate, hate, hate it. Looks like a jumble sale on legs.

Blogger John and Beatrice said ... (1:11 PM) :

This look is most definitely a head-turner. The asymmetry at the base of the dress channels Dries Van Noten (Fall 2005)and works very well with the edgy boots and groovy "do-you-make-house-calls?" bag. Gray on black is such a nice subtle dip from the palette. It would be a shame if our muse is wearing contacts. A dark pair of frames would complete this come-hither look.

The uneven dress hem works fine, but is her sweater supposed to be mis-buttoned? Looks like she got dressed in a hurry without the benefit of a mirror.

Blogger abovo99 said ... (3:52 PM) :

Umm...I am not sure about this dress and sweater. Plus her ankle boots look dirty to me. However, I like her bag.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:21 PM) :

I hate to be negative, but I think this looks a bit slopy. She is a very lovely girl though!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:28 PM) :

i think she's taken a nice little nugget of an idea here and pushed it too far. there's no harmony. sometimes ugly is pretty, but not this time.

Blogger MARIA H said ... (6:25 PM) :

AWESOME! only for those that dare to break the rules...of course Paris helps, very Margiela!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:50 PM) :

Very unflattering. You can't be weird just to be weird--sometimes it makes you ugly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:13 AM) :

wow, i think she looks very interesting and cool

Blogger Kathleen... said ... (6:32 PM) :

Oh dear....that cardigan. (love "thegirlwhowanted..."'s comment)

I love them too, but I wear them buttoned-properly.

Yeesh.

Blogger Hebden said ... (10:01 PM) :

Looking at this in its entirity I love the grey of the cardigan but hate the cardigan itself...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:54 AM) :

Is she pregnant? Because the oddly way the cardigan wraps around her mid-section amkies her whole look screams "Expecting!".

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:00 AM) :

I think the neckline of whatever she's wearing under that cardi is all wrong - a better one could really make it work. Maybe the dress shape isn't quite right for it either. When you're wearing one outrageous thing like this cardi, you need to make sure everything else is an accessory to it, so that the item just looks great.

Different is cool, a mess is not so cool. It can sometimes be a fine line...
