Comments on "At Dior - Club Collar Shirt"
First, I would like to tell you that I missed you in the Paris' streets and that I hope that I'll get you next time!
I'll have red cheeks but I'll do it because your my little drug every morning!
This elegant man is the husband of Delphine Arnault (daughter of Mr LVMH...and occasionally working at LOEWE and DIOR accessories).
Nice! With collars, it's never just about their shape, but the way the collar works--or doesn't--with face- and head-shape.
(But I've always thought club collars a little too polo-shirt-collarish for comfort....)
This gent is the son-in-law of Monsieur Bernard Arnault, chairman of LVMH
a little editorial help ...
that's the husband of delphine arnault, daughter of LVMH chairman bernard arnault.
Gentlemanly, modern, and respectfully reminiscent of another time.
You're right, this is not an easy collar to pull off. It requires a perfect knot and a slim suit. He carries it well, it helps when you're handsome and he is.
Me like!:)
I don´t like them very much.
Is he Delphine Arnault´s husband? I think so.
It's the hair and attitude that makes it work. No offence, but I don't think you could pull it off, Scott.
I believe that gentleman is the husband of Delphine Arnault, Bernard Arnault's daughter (president of LVMH). Quite a dashing fellow. From what I could remember from the article covering their wedding in W magazine, I believe he is an heir to an Italian liquor business.
FYI...He is Alessandro Vallarino Gancia. He is married to Delphine Arnault, daughter of Bernard Arnault and heir to an Italian wine fortune.
It works with his face and also the tie knot is perfect with this collar.
BTW will you be at the main store or the Men's Store when at the SF Saks on Saturday? They have two locations in the City.

Is a club collar the male version of a Peter Pan collar? It looks a bit strange over a tie.
Dear God, man, unbutton your coat!
I don't think they look well on everyone , but this chap carries it off well
i like it actually - i think it looks fresh and modern, i like the smooth clean curve.
He is married to Bernard Arnault's
daugther. Lagerfeld photogrphed their
wedding.
The mouth, the eyes, and especially the hair make the collar work. I think a hundred other guys could wear this same suit/shirt/tie and look like clowns, but this guy looks great.
Have never seen it done better.
The angle of the spread is perfect to the millimeter.
Every other choice he made helps it along, but your eyes are drawn to tha collar.
Bravo.

Most club collars are modelled on point collars; this one is modelled on a spread. With the skinny lapels of the jacket the round points are kind of jarring, but in a way that I like.
always wanted to own a shirt like this .....he has inspired me here ....wearing it in a rather contemporary /modern fashion....an updated look from the costume look
I like it.
HLove the photo and shirt looks good on him. Not a big fan of that sort of collars - but it sooths him !
Scott, thank you also for the lovely photos you took over fashion week - NYC, London, Milan and Paris.
Always a source for inspiration !
You are the best ;-)
Facial structure and hair make this one work. I like it.
That's Don Jaime de Marichalar, son-in-law of King Juan Carlos and husband of the Infanta Elena.
Oh Amused, that was very funny!
this does look nice
That must be a shirt from the excellent Savile row-tailor Spencer Hart. Their club-collar shirts are the best ever. Check 'em out.

Now that's funny.
great hair, i love it when those going bald love to show it off with a dazzling bouffant..
just perfect
He seems so comfortable with himself,he must think about his outfit for the day in the morning and then forget about it for the rest of the day.great style, great haircut...wonder what scent he wears.
Can anyone direct me to where I can purchase a club collar dress shirt online?
I love how his hair echoes the curve of his collar.
Also: Is his jacket button still buttoned while he's sitting?
