post a commentnice, very organic.
This show puts Derek at the head of the class.
His best collection to date and the best show of the season so far!
I love, love the color combination of the dress.
Wow, that's gorgeous.
i thought that most of what he showed was beautiful but not that green dress you posted.

superb
Those are amazing colours.
BEAUTIFUL dress!
It's all in the choice of colors... the distinction between sartorial genius and sartorial mediocrity.
looks a lot like Miyake
I think Derek Lam is such a sweet person and a really good designer. But some of these looks remind me a little too much of Marni. I think it goes beyond just a little Marni influence and makes half the show seem a little derivative for me. But I am still rooting for Derek!
modern floaty spring shapes, elegant use of color, breathtaking evening dresses with a slightly androgenous feel. i'm in love a little bit.
Great collection -- he loosened up a bit and it really suits him. Tons of wearable and still elegant clothes.
I'm soo glad you brought Derek Lam up, I've been waiting to talk about his show with you. I've always loved his work but had gotten to the point where I thought I knew what to expect (albeit beautifully delicate and expertly cut pieces).
So imagine my suprise and enjoyment to see some pattern and texture in his pieces. And color! I was wowed by his departure and can't wait to see what he does in the fall. I think he's at his best when it comes to fall and winter fashions. I can just imagine the coats now.
I'm still working on getting past staring at this woman's face. Delicious...
it reminds me a bit fo some previosu calvin klein collections--- especiallyt eh sue of color int eh bands adb gernal blocks. it s a great fresh take on minimalsim.
a a side note--thhat si Chanle Iman. this new model that is sort of breaking right now... very cool. of all tyhe pictures you picked, scott.
Most of what I've seen on the shows appear to be muted grays and browns which is nice but after a long gray winter - I usually want color. So, I have to say bravo (!) because these colors are lovely. In addition to that, the cut and shape of the dress is gorgeous.
Oh Derek Lam is lust.
He just does what he always manages to do - amazing work.
love love love it!!!
