Comments on "On The Street.....Blue Seersucker and Purple, New York"
he just look hot. so dapper.
great outfit. Is that a white color on a "not white" shirt? Perhaps a bit formal with the extreme spread collar for the outfit.
Not only the colors but the whole persona is exquisite. His hair, accessories, gestures achieve a level of harmony that only spells a very interesting personality. My favorite fashion report from your keen aye so far. This is an example of the America that - in my opinion, and in a few cases- is beyond "stylish" capitals : a perfect shift from convention to transgression. A beautiful emancipation.
not mad about the bling, and he should probably empty his pockets, but the suit is definitely doing it for me.
is it just me or does his suit not fit well at all - sure, his ensemable is distinctive but that's about it
well done...great colors.
Cheers for the great color sense; but the collar's adrift, and the jacket too small over the chest....
i think this works excellently for this guy...i'm not sure that this outfit would look good on everybody though.
oh no ... it's just wrong - it makes you cringe
Seersucker has it's critics, but a good seersucker is functional and the quintessential summer wardrob staple as far as I'm concerned. In this case the cut and pattern is istinguished and fun all rolled into one.
Looking good, sir
This is stupendous.
damn it!...you chopped off his feet!
loving this look, but i have such issues with what shoes work best with my pale blue seer sucker suit!
HELP!
what was this guy wearing?
Dazzling! The play, as it were, of signifiers across the purple and the little coke-bottle-looking glasses and the hair and the rings and the light-colored suit--very clever. He looks like he belongs in a novel--an alternate and more interesting reality.
makes me smile ! (agree could do w/o bling)
I love seersucker - such a fresh fabric!
this is a beautiful suit - he looks great!!
although the purple tie is a little strong in colour for the suit dont u think?
Tiiiiiigggght...
now here's the EFFORTLESS CHIC a la Andre3000
Great seersucker suit, love the spread collar and the glasses but really not liking all that bling. What shoes did he have??
colors are fine, but the jacket is too small.
What a dude! How many can carry off the white/off-white suit with flare?!
i'm not a fan of purple at all...but it works on him.
and the jacket is NOT too small.
hmmm...i am still awaiting, on the edge, of news of shoes......please tell us all, herr sartorialist.
I don't remember the shoe color but I think it would be a summer-tan leather
definitely not black or even dark brown
Love it !
That's the way to go for summer.
Seersucker rocks. With the right details it looks very modern. Look at the gentleman from a couple of weeks ago, pulling a seersucker combination in green. With this outfit the purple really makes it work. Very dapper !
Ehhh... want so bad to like it, but doesn't really work for reasons already cited-- for me, that would be mostly- combining dressy shirt/accessories with a casual suit. It can be done, but this isn't how. Too much jewelry and I don't think the jacket fits either. Could be the angle, but I used to sell clothing, so should know a little something...
He looks very very British, IMHO (except the bling.) He pulls the look together, though- it takes someone of outstanding character to pull this off. He could easily be a weirdo dressed with the same haircut and bling in a baggy t-shirt and jeans but instead he dons this outfit. Brilliant!
Who makes a tie that color?! Love it!
A very rare occasion where Seersucker actually looks great!
seersucker works on this guy, but it definitely is not a universally flattering fabric on men -- especially on the bottom half of the body. i saw a man in chelsea the other day wearing a polo shirt and seersucker pants. the pants only served to silhouette the gigundo thingaling he was packing there. it was way too distracting and actually kind of vulgar -- the equivalent of a DD woman wearing a low-cut tank top.
Nobody wears seersucker suits in Australia except Americans, and we probably should in summmer due to our extreme climate.
I think I'm going to see what my tailor can do.
That tie.. could well be Ralph Lauren.
my favorite look on this site in a LONG time
I think this guy has great taste in colors but I honestly think he needs to move up a suit size. His jacket looks just a bit too tight for comfortable, all-round wear during a typical day.
