Funny how (at least for me) the posture and gait contribute as much as the clothes to the time-warp effect.

I love hats too, but on the young they usually look like a tawdry affectation. On this man it looks perfect.

Meaning no disrespect...of course...but a double-breasted is better left buttoned or removed. This guy can get away with it, just as he has gotten away with many things in life. Love the crisp pink shirt and neatly folded pocket silk, the shades, the hat, and the appropriate shark-life scowl. Great action shot...this is HIS city. "Guido, get the car. it's the trouser height. it wwould be interesting if high pants came back into style no that we've had a decade of below-your-butt.
How is it that the (too) short trouser length looks cute and stylish on this gentleman and usually I'd criticise that element to high heaven!

Lapo, I think it is called a Panama hat, the same style in colours other than WHITE (errata corrige) is called Borsalino which is also the title of a great '70 movie with Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo. Are you the real Lapo?...
