On The Street........Fashion Insiders Working Wardrobe, New York

What do you wear when you work in a creative field but maybe not in the creative department?

This woman was walking out of the #1 fashion building on 7th Ave (NYers will know which one) and she really looked great - so well put together. I have no idea what she does but I thought she doesn't necessarily look like a designer but a designer would love to have someone that looked like her (or should I say has her type of style) managing his/her business, or pr, or whatever.

ps. the dress comes up a little darkin the photo but there is a great pleating detail at the center of the neckline that really makes the dress pop.

My office is freezing. What does she put on over this when she's inside and it's cold?

Agree, she looks fantastic. I think the shoes do the trick, a contrasting colour against the blank (or rather black!) canvas of the dress. She looks clean, and uncluttered. Simple is always so stylish.

Good point about the AC temperture in offices.
I would love to show some skin with dresses, but i'm kind of skinny and cold is my enemy when being indoors. This woman probably has some little cardigan or something to layer in her bag.

This is a great "Business and Chic" look. It is smart with an air of authority.

What I love about this is that her hair is exactly like mine...i.e., impossible to deal with, and she still looks chic. I covet the shoes.

I agree with Alice on the shoes - a perfect detail to highlight. And ditto with the hair - the outfit is so polished, and she looks so chic...but she's not cookie cutter. Her personality is coming through too. Strikes me as a hard balance to get right, but so many of the people you capture have nailed it.

Everything about her is so beautiful and put together... nice shoes...

Gorgeous - where can I find this dress? Not that I would pull off her look, but I would still like to try.. ;-)

perfection. the pleated detail, the shoes, the patent bag

I agree with Lit....she is the epitome of casual, gorgeous, shy, stylish, nonchalant, non-aggressively showing off her body and style..

She has cleverly taken note of her perfectly toned, very slim calves. The dress cuts just at mid-knee, a flattering hemline for the girls with good gams:)
