Garden Party, Milan p2

D&G Dsquared

Some people commented on the dress style of some of the designers at this party. Please consider that this was a party early during fashion week and most of these designers had not shown yet and were coming right from fittings and probably going right back fittings afterwards.

Are you kidding? They all look so chic!

im probsbly wrong, but is the first photo dolce and gabbana?

Re the Postscript to the photos:

So that would explain why everyone is dressed, essentially, the same?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:10 PM) :

I've developed an addiction to white shirts this year, so many great ways to wear them whether you're male or female. The ultimate wardrobe staple. You just can't go wrong.

love that woman's button look! it's casual chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:47 PM) :

Handsome people.

Blogger Tim said ... (8:53 PM) :

i agree with gigi, the chic-ness (if i can call it that) is fabulous, but i didn't really like those torn jeans on image 1. they feel a little too much last summer for me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 PM) :

White shirts and classic blue denim jeans will always be chic, in my book!

Blogger Casey MacKenzie Johnson said ... (10:37 PM) :

I love the way they are dressed. At my school the Fashion Design students seem to dress so bad! I would love if you posted more photos of designers. Keep up the great work!!!

Blogger Anastasia said ... (10:59 PM) :

dean & dan rock!!!
how cool that u could be at such a party! i hope everyone was really nice to you!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:39 PM) :

I agree with Timpan. From such reputable designers such as D&G, torn jeans just don't cut it..nice white shirt though

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:46 AM) :

Be right back.... going to go buy myself a white shirt and pair of white denim.

Blogger Laurence John said ... (2:10 AM) :

i can't believe people still think torn jeans are cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:04 AM) :

yes indeed the first photo is of misters dolce and gabbana.

Blogger Dr Skylaser said ... (8:46 AM) :

Whatwhat! Casual style is style too, and it can be just as much of a challenge. The torn jeans are a bit over-the-top because everyone knows they weren't accidentally torn, though--I'll buy that.

Love the D&G look! Torn jeans and fitted shirt definately gets a thumbs up from me!

Ps. Scott looks like you've had an amazing time over the past few weeks!!!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:40 AM) :

If those gentlemen are Mssrs. D&G then, my goodness, I think I would be the last person to criticize their "look"! Plus, with the white shirt and the neat haircut, it seems to me that he pulls the torn jeans into the new century.

Loving the crisp white shirts with blue jeans. I also still love that shot of the white shirt with the blue jean shorts we saw in Milan.

Love the idea of white shirt, white jeans, brown belt; but does anyone worry, like I do, about the whites not matching??? Does it matter if they don't match???

Blogger The Amateur said ... (9:54 AM) :

i love the jeans and a white shirt look, but D&G's hyper distressed denim thing is a little played out I think.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:00 AM) :

About the whites not matching , i think it TOTALLY matters. To me , it ruines the whole look if the whites are different.I hate that.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:41 AM) :

everyone looks great, but who has the best accesory? the dsquared guys with the gorgeous boy in between!!! So clever of them...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 AM) :

Please.. perspective. It's Domenico Dolce and destroyed blue denim with a black or white shirt is who he is not a trend. That's like commenting on Ralph Lauren and saying his rugged American look isn't in style this season. You're not seeing Dolce trying to bring back distressed jeans for next season in that photo, you're seeing Dolce as himself.

I think they all look great so relaxed. It's Fashion Week so I'm sure this Garden Party with friends away from the media was a nice break.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:45 PM) :

Should whites match? Is that a rule? If it is, I would like to break it. Apparetly designers also break 'em, so I should be in good company.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:17 PM) :

Ahhh..the Dsquared gentlemen look gorgeous, straight out of a magazine....beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:03 AM) :

Who is the guy in the middle (Dsquared)? He is soooooo handsome!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:15 PM) :

I think it's model Chad White. He had a greats pread in L'Uomo Vogue by Steven Meisel

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:45 PM) :

Patrick, That's actually Stefano Gabbana who's sporting the white shirt and ripped jeans combo. To all those who criticise, these are the style creators, not trend followers. Its what they show on the catwalks that eventually filters down as 'looks'. If you don't get that, then perhaps you shouldn't be logging onto fashion blogs. Or maybe you should, for some fashion-education!

Blogger dave said ... (10:03 AM) :

is that male (i assume model) a model for nordstrom?? i think ive seen him..
