Even More From Dries Van Noten

I think it is incredibly to get such a great variety of stylish women at a men's fashion show but then I guess it is Dries were talking about.

All of these looks are airy looking and fabulous.

I would love to try out number four.

The shoulderless top, the gold sandals, the turquoise bag, the belt, the flirty skirt ... I think it is especially the quality of the fabric of the tube top that is so exquisite. Wish I had something like it!

I find number one totally quirky and gutsy. It's all white, and it emanates attitude and confidence. Bravo, Sarto!

Photo number 5... back of long print dress... took my breath away!

Mr. Sarto., now that you are back in NYC and considering the opulent location sites in Paris, did you feel how much your surroundings affect the fashion? Did you have an urge to dress differently while you were there? All that wonderful architecture & culture!

Photo Number 5 is not just about the dress... it's everything!

wow. i like how the woman in the black tank and shorts looks like she's about to burst out laughing. but especially the picture of the back view of the flowery dress and how the hem is kicked up from behind her, so pretty and elegant. i love this blog.

In response to the anonymous comment above, and the magnificent pictures by mr. sartorialist I feel like adding: a city's effect on people is not so much inspirational but Restricting. That is, restricting what one gets away with. In NY, many outfits (possibly including some of the above) will get you a collective "What are you, an asshole?". In Paris, there is too much sex for people to bother with the opinions of others. In America, almost only the young upper class, feeling entitled, will wear whatever they please. This often, regrettably, translates to the sportswear du mode. Its from this style Ralph Lauren draws its heartblood. The abandon with which the affluent children dress is what RL tries, and often fails, to seize.
Don't call for "culture" in america; it won't happen, and if it did, it would be tragic. The american brand of humour would die.
