Fantastic compostion, Sartorialist! I also love how this woman radiates casualness, although she is dressed in chic black.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this she shows us that you can still look amazing while doing an outdoor activity.
I love this photo.
I love her look.
So chic, on a bike and on cobblestones, with iPod.

That's it! Time to go for a ride. She's wearing flipflops? I wish we could hear an audio clip. The subtle sounds of that sleek black bike with HEADLIGHT... ahhh... With only two days until 2006 Tour de France, are you hearing any buzz?
This is the first time I have actually seen someone wearing flip-flops (outside of beach/shower moments) and not wanted to wretch. Point made! I'll add bike riding time as another appropriate flip flop activity. I am just hoping that she has some killer heels in her bag/at work/home that shes trying to avoid scuffing.
where can you get a bike like that? i've been longing for a fashionable non-mountain bike after seeing all these photos! anyone?
Poetic. All black save for the whitewalls and her iPod cord. Sparkling. Almost too good to be true.

It doesn't matter that she's in head-to-toe black...She still looks fresh and fabulous. I luuurve black!
Mr/Ms Anonymous 7:14 PM, these bikes are what you might call a "utility bike", "Dutch bike" or "euro bike". The closests bike in the USA is probably those made by a company named Breezer. There's also the more expensive company called Rivendell. Both manufacture european inspired utility bicycles.
You can have a makeshift one by buying the more prevlant "comfort bike" and installing chrome fenders, a rear rack, and changing the handle bars from straight bars(the most common, especially on Mountain bikes) to the more upswept ones(the ones you see on european utility bikes), commonly known as "north road" handlebars.
She's beautiful. Looks a bit like Thandie Newton.
Now, I'm seriously considering painting my crusier a shiny black. Hmmm...
*sigh*no helmet, flip flops and headphones.
Cute gal but c'mon now, lets be safe!
Her style is clean, classic with flare. Humble envy fills my mind.
reminds me of audrey hepburn . . . an understated, elegant, all time chic sense of style and beauty.
La Bella Donna Italiana!
there's something to be said about elegance of the simple and understated kind. She looks marvellous
one of my favorite pics...
My favourite look at this page!! Great!!!:)
I think it might be Thandie...
foto simpatica che rappresenta bene la milanese chic e ecologica, con un tocco di audrey hepburn
WOW! This is exactly what my project mate said while discussing the dress of Italian women. She lived there and said they were attractively dressed and wore bicycles!
I can't wait to send this to her!
Sart score again!
Quintessentially Italian! Love it.
love this look a lot! So simple yet fab! A street fasjion that deserves a second look. wish we can have this get-up here everyday!
Bella ragazza!
veramente fantastica questa signora milanese. !!!!!!!
this woman looks so effortlessly fashionable. she wears all black , nothing outstanding about the actual outfit its the fact she can ride a bicycle and looks so fashionable instead of wearing regulr gym sports clothes
