that's personal style. I'm sure many people won't like the aesthetic but this lady stands out in my eye.
I just wanted to post that i really enjoy your blog, and you make miss miss living in and around NYC!
Your subject appears to be wonderfully petite but not frail, just like my wife. Also like my wife, she is able to wear an outfit with some volume without being overwhelmed by it. When done right, as here, the small woman/big clothes contrast is very effective. Accessories are also important, and this subject's are just right in scale and number. Not a criticism of your subject's choice, but my wife would go funkier than the Birkenstockish sandals for footwear; probably Fluvogs or Cydwoqs (we're not connected in any way with these brands, other than to tithe to them regularly).
You don't believe I am going to make a dress like this. Its skirt looks like a large tulip skirt and now I like this kind of shape. I think this outfit is very stylish.
absolutly faboulus!
More posts like this, please! She is just exuding with originality, and its actually working. Not liking the sandals, though.
Cool. And kind of sly, in a way. It looks sort of spelt and tofu on first take but then you realize there is a lot of clever and modern detail in the dress. I wonder what she does for a living.
what an insteresting hemline. Soft leather flats would have been nicer or even chinese happy shoes would be cute
I am really diggin' that sporty bubble/cargo skirt deal....that's some true style right there....
she looks so small but strong at the same time..
I really like the silhoutte of that dress bottom but would probably never wear it myself. Those shoes really take the outfit down though
