On the Street.... Soho, New York

I love the silk headwrap with the very trad navy blazer(Yohji actually), charcoal pants, and suede shoe combo.

By complete coincidence I saw this same gentleman about 5 hours later at Barneys. He had transformed the silk headwrap into a rakishly tucked-and-puffed pocket square, It seems Bruce Weber has an influence beyond Abercrombie photos.

Bruce weber is famous for wearing a bandana all the time - this guy actually looks like a skinny Bruce Weber

i like the suede shoes , but , what are your thoughts on brown suede with the charcoal/black combo ???

I think he looks great. He sort of reminds me of some of the visiting artist and designers when I was in school. The navy, charcoal, w/dark brown suede... classic and elegant. The scarf gives him an exotic edge. Thanks Sarto... seomtimes it's the simple details that makes it positively eccentric.

I totally love this. Exotic style choices rooted in practicality are the coolest. It makes it look less like you're trying to be cool than solving a practical problem in an elegant way.
