Comments on "Milan Women Love Color"
What a city! Few women have guts to dress like that here in Asia...
Hi Sartorialist,
Are you living in/near Corso Como or Corso Garibaldi? The latest Photos all seem to have been taken around the Piazza 25 Aprile area... :-) I recognize the paving stones (not to mention the fabulous store Eral 55). I used to live in the area!
There are some great little stores tucked away on side streets in the area, one example you might like is a leather goods store, Franzi, which is in via Palermo (a left turn off Corso Garibaldi about 6-7 mins. walk from Piazza XXV Aprile)--probably where your "bald fat man" buys his briefcases, if they're not from Valextra! There are also some great bakeries all the way down Corso Garibaldi (and a great ice-cream place in Corso Como!). Anyway, sorry for reminiscing. It's fun to see you photographing in Milan. Have fun at the shows today!
Great pictures again, but Milan isn't even nearly one of the most beautiful cities in Italy.
The white skirt is gorgeous
I totally agree with you. The women of Milan really love colour!!!
The women are so beautiful!
Wonderful pics.... love the colrs juxtoposed w/ the great shoes.... no flip-flops , what a surprise !!!!
I´m a brazilian girl and love your blog and the elegants people that you show us.
this milan trip is very exciting. a total inspiration.
Are THOSE flip flops?! What are all the anti-flip flop trolls gonna say now?
like the red/white one.
I have been to Milan, and yes, women/men do love to wear lots of colour and they're very well-dressed. In your blog, it seems that women in NYC love colour too but more subtle or deep shades, not too many bright/loud colours, and they're very stylish as well. But having never been to NY, I cannot really compare the two. I just wanted to know, in your opinion, which city has more stylish/well-dressed women/men?
Question: Are you finding it easier or harder to take pictures of strangers on the streets of Milan? How's your Italian?
Interesting that in Milan they are also doing the flowy, peasanty summer look I see here in the city. Im tired of it, to be honest. But the first woman does look lovely.
Wow- #1 is so beautiful.
wonderful colours - I think different cities suit differnet colours - bright shades just look perfect in the hot European summers - its the only place I can pull off white jeans. Im off to Europe in SEptember - I need the inspiration!
Love the first outfit... I might even wear my white boho skirt tomorrow...
That red top is just gorgeous -- the perfect blend of sexy and chic! The wonderful weather seems to accentuate the colors as well, so everything seems even more glorious :)
Such vibrant colors , love to see style and comfort .... great shoes (no flops)
Looks as if the bright color/white combo is a big hit in Milan , seems like it's taking hold in NY as well . Love the shoes in both ,the heels in the 1st pic accentuate the white dress ,and the sandals' pink straps go well with the dress in 2nd pic... bravo
sorry Anonymous 11:57 , those are sandals not flops.....it's Milan not Coney Island
LOVE the first girl!
She doesn't look boho or last year at all, she looks stunning, sexy and superglamorous!
Love the sandals in the second shot juxtaposed to the heels in the first picture ... 2 great styles on two different women : sexy vs. laid back.......
Nice Skirts. Sorry for bad english, me not know. found you site on Search Google. Beery good.
