I love the contrast of his funky hair against the formal suit - kinda reflects the contrast of the light and dark areas of the photo...or maybe that's too deep...lol!

It really looks as if his suit is too small and way too short!
I like the Thom Browne look and everything, but a guy this good-looking and who obviously has a great bod for fashion would look better in another look, perhaps an outfit in a diffrent proportion.
This is just too extreme to have real style. It's like the whole purpose is to get away with something.It doesn't flatter the already good looks of this gentleman.
doesn't he know that he should not use hot water when washing delicate stuff? you know when my dad wore shark suit back in the 60's it did not look like this. the lenght of trousers were still normal not capris lenght.

This suit has nothing to do with TB!
The suit IS definitively TB. Therefore,I do believe that it has something to do with TB.
I like his overall look, but I'm more of a TB fan when the trousers are cut with no break, just at the shoe..rather than the extreme hi-water that is TB's "signature"
the lighting is absolutely beautiful.
It's obviously a reformed 77 punk look (think bondage pants). Not bad, but I doubt he dresses like that very often.
hello anonymous 08:27 pm please refer to anonymous 08:59 pm comments. i aggree with that person's statement that the lenght of the trousers should just be touching the shoes and no break. if you need more info rent the original dragnet. when dragnet came out this was the era when shark skin suit was in style.
The lighting is indeed very nice! My problem with the pants isn't so much the length, as it is the way they look to be draping around the thighs, almost as if they were pulled down too low on the hips. He should pull them up an inch and they will look like the Prada fox hunting/equestrian look they've been doing occasionally since the late '90s...
This is one of the more extreme TB looks I've seen, as far as inseam goes. And although I wouldn't wear it myself, I don't find it offensive or distasteful. Definitely agree with the above post linking it to a sort of punk style, and it certainly isn't as aggressive as bondage pants, so maybe we should be pleased.
It's hard to tell in the photo, but are those combat boots or is the shoe just blending in with the sock in the shadows? I'll pretend they are combat boots in any case, as I would find that to be an acceptable pairing with pants this length...or John Lobb Jodhpurs.
This fellow does dress in similar fashion most days...and far more extreme ("extreme" is a relative term). I believe he's the TB specialist for Bergdorf. With that said he definately makes TB his own...and hats off to BG for recognizing this guys incredible style.
that is great hair but he has my problem with suit pants.
i'm 6'5 and everytime i sit in my suit pants they ride up like im preparing for a flood.

tb/not tb - j.f.c. who cares??? would people please stop posting only to say that they hate some particular (designer's) look? that is so boring and repetitive. i can get it from the stupid "what's in/what's out" pages in so many bad fashion mags. this site is all about what people and how they really dress and not what's in or out or hot or not.

Cute guy, great hair, trousers just look too short, he's wearing socks and shoes not boots - doesn't work for me, maybe he has a bike?
If I saw him on the street I wouldn't be looking at his ankles! But when I eventually did we would have to have words...
I really like the over all effect, thin close to the body with symbolic formal aspects to keep it proper for midtown. He wears it very well.

a thought: why cant men's style be "evolutionary"?
why cant men's style be open to a few personal eccentricities and quirks? we all have them, from brazenly colorful socks to outre cufflinks and intellectually cut shoes. mens suitings have to reinvent themselves somehow, and its been in such subtle ways-usually in the width of a lapel, the number of buttons on a coatfront, the length of the coat torso...and so we have someone trying the length of a pant and sleeve as options in "evolving" or "re-viewing" the silhouette of the suit. someone has to do it, otherwise, its all a bleak Jos A Bank and mens wearhouse future from here on in, gentlemen (and ladies).

I am neither here nor there about the look of the man in the photo, but I agree with you Sartorialist about the photo - the lighting, the energy of people coming and going all around the standing man, the lines of the building and of the street. Beautifully shot.

I agree with swagger. It looks like he was trying decide between wearing short longs or long shorts and decided to split the difference and throw on a pair of capris.
I'm also reminded of the recent New Yorker cover with the guys aged 20-50 all dressed the same, with the courier bag, just like this gentleman. I'd like to see somebody do something different with bag-style. I like the look of vintage leather, but with an outfit like this, maybe a slim briefcase in classic black or even silver...
Not a big fan of the hair either..just me, though.
O.k. so the suit is TB, but perhaps it just doesn't translate so well on this guy, to my eye, at least.
I mean, everyone can't wear everything, even tall,chic dudes.

But one thing sort of bothers me: if I see this guy walking down the street, I would think, "Thom Browne".
Great for TB marketing but the "uniform" TB? I'm not sure? I don't know, maybe it's the tie being the same fabric as the suit or the standard TB details (implying that it all came from the same designer). Don't get me worng, I get inspired by designers all the time, but I do like to see guys/gals mix-it-up to the point I don't recognize any overt designer influence. And when I walk down the street, I see them. This cool guy works for TB so it's understandable. I do love the shadows in this photo. wow...
