For those who don't know, there is surfing in brooklyn and up Long Island.....

Funny. I was test driving a Honda Fit this weekend and in their brochure, there are "lifestyle shots" of a couple of guys walking through the city carrying surfboards. I thought it was a pretty ridiculous scenario, but apparently it happens.

This is a far more common sight in San Francisco (and I imagine yet more in San Diego). You get a bunch of great looks of people riding the bus with a surfboard tucked under their arm and sun-bleached hair. It's far from a Manhattan look, but some people pull it off really well.
