On The Street...Blue Moleskin Jacket, New York

This makes the second time in a week that I have seen a blue moleskin jacket look really good.
Here he has paired it with tonal cords.

Are those silver lamé Vans? Wow, good move -- they break up all the blue. I love the messy beard and casual canvas bag; he doesn't look overdone.

Wouldn't life be grand if your shirt always matched your backround?

You have an awesome blog. Great pics. I'm not into fashion at all, but you made the visit into your world and NYC alot of fun...

NYC is awesome. I love a city that promotes style. What freedom to be able to take style-chances and to be met with enthusiasm! It really is like a street fashion show, but without much critique.

In my midwestern city things are changing a bit and the young and the artistic are breaking out in style in a major way, but for the most part, women are stuck in Suburban Mall mode, and anyone who tries to look a bit different still may meet the glares of those who just don't get it.

I love this blog because everyone is nice and supportive about the interesting expressions of style captured in these pictures!

And the bag rocks this look.

I've had moleskin trousers for years. Wonderful--wearing a pair right now. I rarely see the fabric in the market--maybe it's making resurgence??
--great shot.

Brilliant catch, Sartorialist.

I'm surprised you didn't find him at the new Apple store on Fifth, because this guy is just cool all over.

this guy is perfect. he could only be more perfect if he were covered in chocolate. or covered in nothing...

wonderful example of gestalt dressing where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
