Gone In A Second

I see this guy across the street on Madison Avenue - hat, serious pocket square, gold watch-chain - smashing( I bet he will only get better with age). Before I could get another shot he was on the bus and gone.
That is one of the best things about New York, I don't think you would see this guy on a public bus in Kansas City or Phoenix.

Neither in Milan.
I like the shoes. Great.

Would be interesting to know more about him.

Great pic.

Yes, that is one serious pocket square!

Obviously, he has been shopping for more great stuff, that bag looks rather full.

Sart, you're changing the way I pay attention to the everyday. Thanks.

Noticed the bag. Love that he shops at Syms.

Pocket squares are my favorite final touch on dressing up. Pocket squares and cigarettes. I really think they add punch to your outfit. This one hits harder than a Arturo Gatti bodypunch.

that last comment sounds like it came from Max Kellerman!

honestly, it's the fact that he's getting onto the bus that makes this great- the juxtaposition completes the look.

You might actually see such a gentleman in Kansas City, but he would likely be African American, as our more creative dressers here in the midwest tend to be.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:14 PM) :

He definitely could be walking down a street in Atlanta. Southern men are very style conscious and often flamboyant in their fashion choices, the only thing you don't see a lot are double breasted suits I think.

This gent is teh cool!

I'm putting in my vote for the shoes. I would love to have seen an up close photo of them.

The man looks very well put together. Obviously takes the "whole package" look seriously.

And do you see where he shops??!! Ya gotta love it! (I can tell his bag is from SYMS - discount designer clothing store - whose tag line is "SYMS, where an educated consumer is our Best customer"

Blogger Pat & Reg said ... (5:33 PM) :

you wouldn't see him on a bus in Los Angeles either.

Yeah, I'm lovin' that Syms bag! What a great counterpoint to the snappy clothes (I've never seen much that suits my style in a Syms). One never knows!
