Comments on "On The Street.....Tokyo To West Broadway, NYC"
Love the composition of this photo.
Please, please, please don't start posting pics of Japanese sartorialists. It's just not fair. Pound for pound, the average Japanese sartorialist is usually dressed about 10 times better than american sartorialists. I speak from numerous trips to Tokyo...every other person looks like they stepped off the runway. Hell, even a lot of the old people on the tokyo streets look like they were just styled by armani or something. Let us shabby americans keep the fantasy that new york is style a competitive street fashion capital. and by all that I mean... more fresh from tokyo fashion pics please. :^)
I agree with anonymous- please keep Japanese Sartorilists coming!
And I hope you know that your site really inspires me- every morning I ask myself, am I wearing an outfit the Sartorialist would want to photograph? :-D
so true....
mmmm, wonderful outfit.
I constantly ask if what I am wearing is Satorialist worthy - and I'm on another continent!
I, too, think of you Sartorialist nearly every morning, wondering what I've chosen to wear would look like as a photograph.
It brings a smile to my face and a little more discernment and tension in my choices. This makes me feel more alive and grateful. It may not change my choices or personally developed style, just makes me more aware.
It's strange because magazines don't accomplish this for me. It's hard to put my finger on it but you really have something special here.
Obviously, I am not alone with this sentiment, given that you have recently "shown" at the Met. I tip my hat to you.
yay!i think that's a marimekko-bag he's got. go finland!!
More pics from Tokyo please!!!
