Comments on "On The Street.....Riding Jeans?, Chelsea, NYC"
i think those are the new acne hug lost/found jeans... they re so cute..
very euro style. i've seen versions of this worn on the streets of Rome since last summer.
Very, very Euro style... but wouldn't you be afraid of your thighs looking FAT???
That's the dominant style in Hong Kong as well.
they're those japanese influenced "carrot" jeans... apparently becoming all the rage.
groovy
A little bit like safari pants or a denim version of something you would wear while colonizing a foreign country!
I like 'em but I could never pull them off.
Here's the version for men;

I hate that I am criticising everything on this site now, but I really do hate this style of jeans. They make your legs look short and your body look dumpy and top-heavy.
This will become one of those trends that people look back and cringe thinking about.
those are not acne hug! they don't come in any wash like that one in the picture. i live in sweden and swedes have worn this type of jeans for almost 2 years now. same thing with skinny jeans, drainpipestyle. they have been in the game for almost 3 years and people are starting to get tired of them.
those have been around in buenos aires since early last year as well. in stretchy cotton too...
i dont think they look unflattering at all.quite the opposite infact.although iv never tried a pair on in the picture i think they look great
She is very pretty and would look so much better in a pair of nice trim jeans.
Very attractive girl, and I love her style (I personally like anything military inspired and short, dyed hair, so I'm biased). That style of pant - a mix between riding pants and jeans, is not just a Euro trend though. I've seen East Village girls and East Village styled girls from Seattle to Montreal with this look for at least a year now.
They look like modified Tobi trousers--Japanese construction worker pants!
