Although I like the color and admire her panache, I don't like how ill-fitting her jumpsuit is. It sort of ruins the whole experience.

I think this is one that you have to focus on the idea more than the person

hmm maybe this would have worked better if she was willowy???

Not really liking it...seems 80's to and im not a huge fan of 80's fashion :(

pshhh. i dont like jumpsuits. :(

and im getting bored of the whole tights and flats thing as well.

i do however, like the cinched belt and the red and black. kudos to her for pulling it off.

I think a jumpsuit would look much better on someone with a frame like Nicole Kidman's. I don't like the oversized glasses either, IMO worst fashion trend in a long time.

please stop!
anything would look better on Nicole Kidman - that is not the point.

honestly, if you think this outfit would look better on a "willowy" frame, then you really need to try and broaden your image of what a beautiful body can be. i love fashion mags too, but just because the people in them are skinny doesn't mean curvy isn't lovely too.

i think she looks adorable. the puff of the sleeves compliments the curves in her figure. on a skinny person that aspect would be lost. thank you sartorialist (or should i refer to you as the sartorialist?) for such a find!

This looks pretty 80s, down to the huge sunglasses, Just need to replace the ipod with a Sony Walkman. (the old one)

as unique as they come. i like how she pulls it all off. i would never want to wear it, but i think it's amazing that she can look so 'fashionable' with thoes kind of items. i can't help but loving this pic-it stands out so well in all the polished/stylish crowds. such diversity and un-superficial eye is what's really original and wonderful about this *style* blog! along with all or our Vogues, we NEED the Sartorialist to keep us balanced and true.

She's like a lead singer in need of a backup band. Obviously fearless, probably a hell of a lot of fun to go out drinking with.

i think this is a fantastic photo!! i can't believe people are criticising her figure, it's the LOOK people!! be a bit more broadminded!!

I love the fearlessness and humour with which this woman has jumped into her look. All power to her for challenging our conceptions of body shape.

I am completely over the blandness of a lot of fashion/ design images.

Agreed, it's the look. More disgustingly is that comments on other posts point out that many women photographed in NYC are too thin, and some have even said why do you only photograph thin women. Here we finally see a curvy woman, and the response is so critical!

She's rocking her look, kudos to her.

She has a great figure and although I don't really like jumpsuits, I love her individualism.
