The Unsung Hereos - Leo Dell'Orco - Creative Director Men's, Giorgio Armani

Leo Dell'Orco has worked with Giorgio Armani as his menswear creative director for years and years. He was with Armani during all his most important collections and, by connection, one of the designers that most directly affected the way millions of men have dressed over the past twenty years.

Leo is one of those unsung heroes that will never be written up in the fashion history books but his consistent input undoubtly helped make Armani who he is today. I have to admit I was more nervous meeting Leo than I have been meeting almost any other designer I have met in the last five or six years; maybe it was because I was so surprised to see him walking down Elizabeth street in Nolita with several of his friends.

When you know about Leo and how incredibly stylish and cool he is, it makes the discussion of Armani's retirement and succession so much more interesting.

Could Armani ask for a better successor for his men's business than the man he has worked so closely with for the past twenty-ish years?

He is a very stylish man...I read somewhere that he is also Armani's boyfriend.

He is an unsung hero regarding Armani's design.

I want more! He looks so cool and confident. And he's aging very well. And there's no tan involved.
(these gloves are brown or black?)

Sartorialist, he must have loved you. Only you would recognize him walking down the street AND actually manage to take a photo. Good one.

Aha! I love this.... Fashion is what I live for! The fashion industry is soo full of life and talent that it is a never ending fairy tale for us designers. Life literally is taken in a different course, a way of life to be lived with a smile because everything is beautiful, and if it isn't we're here to make sure it is :) There is no doubt that there is competition, but I think that the competition is great for the public, it keeps the beat alive on who has the hottest thing. But it's funny at the same time because because there is always a rise in this industry on the 'hottest' items. But, it's why we design! To always stay up to beat with our public's fashion! We must say that we enjoy it though :)

Seems a bit apparent considering the fact that -inside source- has a bit info on the matter of him being wayy into the art scene. But, nevertheless it doesn't hurt to still have the everyday paparazzi lol I love coming across one of these and knowing that something went down, Good stuff on keeping me updated with the media!

There are many rumors that this person position is highly connected with his emotional connections with Armani.
