On The Street.........Role Model For The Young Sartorialist

This kid looks like he just stepped off the Marc Jacobs runway - but he did it all vintage and second-hand. Bravo!

this is my favorite picture you've posted on this site. his outfit is fantastic! it's amazingly stylish, but doesn't look formulaic, nor the product of money substituting for style.

That's a great look he's got going on. I like the way every piece complements the next all the way down to the sneakers. Even the too-short jacket sleeves look like they were made to be that way on purpose. Nice to see more looks that don't belong in Flusser's book or that seem to emulate a Paul Stuart catalog.

Fabulous, fabulous fabulous!
I was away in Miami for a few days and as soon as I got back I had to see what you were up to and I was soooooo pleasantly surprised with all the beautiful, chic, stylish people in New York that you have photographed.
This guy looks too fab!, sort of a fresh Jean -Michel Basquiat look that is a real knockout.
I love this website!
Satrorialist, you are AMAZING!

this is one of your more original picks.

yeah, i'll have to steal him for my sustainable style. all "reused" and looks great!

thank you, sartorialist. i have regained my faith in you after your baffling string of botoxed and blownout publicists in stilettos. this photo is why i come to the site. he's a style inspiration and deeply adorable too.

I like it. Not crazy about the vest though, a bit too much.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:33 AM) :

he's so cool.
he is stylish but not overdone, and still looks casual. brilliant.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 AM) :

looking good!

Imho the sleeves of the jacket are too short, the pants look like joggingpants, but what I really dislike is the combination of different white colours of the jacket and the pants.

But the scarf looks really great.

Just a little bit boring ... but the guy will have a stylish future. Hold on.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

his trousers are dirty. what's cool about that? i guess that's cool...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 AM) :

Is this a look only someone in their twenties can pull off? What is the equivalant to this for someone in their thirties or forties...etc.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:27 PM) :

Hmm, it might be true that the look is a tiny bit simple (although the scarf begs to differ)but somehow, he radiates a kind of intelligent confidence that ensures you that he is not.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:38 AM) :

OMG it is amazing how much he reminds me of Jean-Michael Basquiat. Its eerie. He looks FAB.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:50 PM) :

good job for him, too bad i am not into wearing clothes that have been worn already. Sartorialism has many different styles for different ppl.(i'm speaking of those ppl who are born sartorialists)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:19 PM) :

This is my favorite kind of outfit. The kind that although not overdone, I couldn't see anyone I know wearing. And just look at that face.
