On The Street..Hard-Ass Pink

Isn't it funny how something as innocent as miss buttoning a jacket can make a look with so much pink seem so jarring and almost aggressive. I don't think he meant to miss button but I don't think he really cared if he did. Bravo!

Holy crap, that outfit rules

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:36 PM) :

this outfit says: fashion victim plus fashion lover plus lover of bespoke plus italiano. it's schizophrenic but somehow almost works.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:18 AM) :

I love men in pink with the rough edges, it's so hot.

And I also love you, Sartorialist, for the fine work you do.

This is a very carefully put-together ensemble. Reminds me a bit of junior high wearing sweatshirts inside out "accidentally." The color of the pants give it away.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:56 AM) :

Very nice and clean outfit, I think. The pink pants looks amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:30 AM) :

wow, this all comes together in a way that works on him. This guy is seriously serious.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:33 AM) :

If he's not jogging, he shouldn't have those running shoes on!!!

Love the pink trousers!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 AM) :

I just got back from new york, my first trip ever, and i finaly understand your apreciation for uniquely dressed people.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:14 AM) :

But he needs a lesson on how to button his jacket. Or is that fashionable as well?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:49 AM) :

Thats a vintage richard james jacket if im not mistaken. Even wrongly buttoned it works.....And the combo is very English too, except for the shoes, which is where it all unravels for me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:36 PM) :

Those actually look like climbing shoes not running shoes. They seem to have become quite popular recently.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:39 PM) :

When the dog's gotta potty NOW, you don't have time to button the jacket perfectly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:06 PM) :

Puma Kilms, modeled after climbing shoes. Not built for actual sport, but great for around town.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:01 PM) :

just. . .just absolutely "awesome".

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 AM) :

ive been checking out your blog since this morning, and it already way past after lunch. thats how inspiring you are *wink wink* great touch with the missed button by the way, makes the look even more grungy, but in a good way

Blogger SunshineCityLassie said ... (10:51 PM) :

Love it.

This is what i mean with my comment: Your life needs contrasts. This is were you put your energy.

(My comment was to your question: "why do i like the Ralph-Lauren-Outfit")

wonderful!

Maybe, but just maybe, this is the look he was going for. I mean, he managed to get a page on the internet, just for doing so :) Thanks for your post!

I just got across you and this blog. It's true, you don't just show the catwalk stuff or how the greatest fashion victims wear the newest trends in the streets. But you also show skaters, pure girls or people like this pink laid back guy, real people who do their own thing.

Thank you for capturing and showing all different kinds of expressing oneself. You've got your own values in fashion and I appreciate that.
Oh and I also like your curiosity for whooshing, fleeting (right word..?) moments.
Ok I think thats enough and you get an idea of what Im trying to say..

Keep up the great work,

Viviane

Brave, yet somehow understated. From the picture it seems this man is used to risks but to him they are the everyday. Maybe its the off button...
Love.
