Meatpacking District, West Village, New York

This photo was taken at one of the last remaining meatpacking businesses in the Meatpacking District. What I like about the photo is that about two hundred yards to the right are the posh boutiques of Jeffrey, McQueen, and McCartney.

I love this photo! It's very moody and romantic and has a nostalgic flavor of the pre-gentrified meat packing district.

Love the photo, as well.

I myself prefer Stella McCartney to smelly meat factories (not as hygienic as the former South Street fishmarket), but that's just me. At least the wonderful cobblestone streets won't change anytime soon.

Ah yes, the smell of cows blood used to waft up all over the neighborhood.
