That is a beautiful picture. Is he Italian? Is there a story?

I saw this at a flea market, I guess we could make up our own story.

I think he just came from his weekly Mustache Club meeting. All the men sit around, thoughtfully tugging at the ends of their mustaches, deep in discourse on the subtle nuances of upper lip hair. I have heard a good mustache is hard to cultivate. This man is obviously an artisan in the field of facial hair. A gentleman and a scholar.

So sad that he wanted to be remembered so much that he paid an artist to paint this and then it ended up tossed into a flea market.
