I am genuinely scared. Sometimes i don't understand how people get to be "models". I suspect some are just generically beautiful and some are chosen because they have an oddly unique aesthetic, which I usually appreciate more, but not in this case.
Proves my theory that most models aren't more attractive than the average woman, simply that they look different.
And that they have bigger heads.
When you see these girls on the street the last thing that comes to your mind is "average" If they were average they wouldn't stick out so much from all the average looking people around them.
I have to say Lily Cole on the runway scares me too. But on this picture she actually looks very soft and pretty to me! :)

as someone with naturally pale skin like Lily Cole's I find it inspiring that something one would normally consider a defecit can be considered beautiful. we should be applauding this, not calling it scary.
Her and Kate Moss look like aliens. What the Brits lack in beauty they truly make up in weirdness...
I think that it must be a British thing then. Here in England, Lily Cole is adored and she is huge. This pre-raphaelite thing is really popular. And the whole point of models surely is the fact that they look different? Lily isn't conventionally beautiful, but that what makes her even more stunning. And her colouring should be seen more on the catwalk.
lily is lovely and so different from the standard models with chiselled features. She's soft and feminine, even her arms and hands are beautifully formed. Yet she has strehgth of character that shines through and lifts her to a different level. Maybe this is why some people get scared, its the femininity and strength combination which maybe creates jealousy too.

lily cole is one of my favorite models with gemma ward at a very close second :: she's got doll like beauty
