damn-- I was hoping for a DB navy chalkstripe suit, or something classier, rather than the older-gay-man-in-fancy-bathrobe-look.

So THAT world famous men's fashion authority Alan Flusser!?

I echo the bathrobe remark. What the.

can't wear a suit every day. I think it would be great to see him do something for Casual Friday dressing.

The coloring is great, the pants were modern cargos, pretty hip for a man of a certain age.

I think he looks great. Looks like someone I would enjoy talking to...

I myself am a person of a certain age. He does look hip, and not an "overdone" hip. A great look.

I vote thumbs up also. A little too much color for me but it is always nice for me to see at least one part of every man's get-up that is not overly fussed over and his hair helps it all look human and comfortable with itself. A touch of the lovable eccentric and an expression that is not effete help too.

I guess I should mention just how cold and windy it was outside the Lauren show. After all it is NYC in Feb.

It was so cold I had a difficult time focusing the camera because the water in my eyeball sockets froze!

The man writes multiple really great books... and everyone has to spend their time trying to rip him down.

He's not a 16 year old model in a staged photo shoot with hair, makeup and dresser waiting off camera between snaps. He's a middle aged author caught walking to work at 10am in the morning.

Same with Boyer. Just because he wrote about elegance, the mob now wants him to dress like goddamn Liberace 24 hours a day. Next we'll be hearing about how Flusser and Boyer should wear white tie formal even when changing the oil in their car and lubbing the suspension.

If neither of these guys had to work for a living, neither of them would have written books sharing their knowledge. I'm sure if anyone offers to take them on an all expense paid shopping trip to upgrade their wardrobes, they'd jump at the chance.

Hey, some Texas guy paid for Gennifer Flower's cosmetic surgery because he got tired of seeing her flawed mug on TV. It could happen.

Come on big spenders! Put your money where your mouth is and take Flusser shopping!
