Totally Modern Vintage (The Girlie Version)

Designers spend a lot of time trying to design the three armed jacket but if they spent half that time on creating great color combinations for the runway it would almost certainly and positively effect their retail sales.
Dries Van Noten is great with shape (both modern and ethnic) but can you really think of any other designer that is better at mixing patterns and color? His soccer field size retail space at Barneys 5th floor is a testament to the validity of this concept or maybe it is just because he is a genius.

Girl: Work it! Own it!
those t-strap shoes look great on her.
She looks great! So well put together!
looks out of focus.
Well, I guess it's cold enough for her to put on a coat with a huge fur collar, gloves, and a scarf (I think that's a scarf anyway), but...it's warm enough that she can wear cropped pants with rather open shoes? When the lower 1/4 of your body is freezing cold, it's not fashionable.
those t-straps are amazing, esp. with the pants that length.
i love your site. i wish there were more sites like it.
Lovely, lovely electric blue shoes!mmmmm...
I love this strappy blue shoes. They are adorable! And that coat makes her look like she just stepped out of an old cinema classic! Isn't that what all women go for? :-)
I agree with you: if designers spent more time on creating great color combos they could encourage ppl to consume (tastefully) and expand their repertoire. I wish more designers and retailers would create appealing palettes for mass market instead of the same old blacks and grays found at H&M, etc. Colorful, interesting patterns aren't just the providence of designer labels, either.
