What is the significance of this store? Do top-notch tailors frequent D. Singer?

No significance other than another store closing down in the once thriving Lower East Side tailoring community. D. Singer has been in that space for years and years but I think it has recently closed. In that neighborhood though space that looked close seem to hang around in limbo. Photographically I really liked the text and fonts of the signs, a little Walker Evans homage.
