I love the asymmetrical quality of this, and the colors. Oh, and the dog. It's all good.
Did you tell her she has a long-lost sister in Milan? Look two posts down.
My favorite thing about this is the leash. I also like that the leash fills out the primary color palette.. red, yellow, blue.

The expression on the dog's face is priceless!
Yellow goes famous, I LOVE HER LOOK!!
Flip-flops?
love the yellow...
Bright colors and smile are so nice.
And wonderful sweater!
wow..this outfit is for sure the one I like very much !!!
Her puppy is so sweet!! I love dark blue paired with yellow!
Love the colour arrangement of the outfit, so simple yet stylish. Her dog is so adorable as well!
xx
Very simple but striking outfit... I like a lot!

Loving the colours. Everything from the zesty yellow against navy to the more subtle accessorizing with turquoise rings, the dog’s leash and even the toy!

lovely!!extremly beautiful!!!

Hands down the best thing about this is the expression on her dog's face. Amazing.
As for her outfit, the colour of the dress is sublime, I adore it.
Great combo of draping, pleat, and color.

Beautiful! Loving the maxi dress.

I love the color combination and interesting asymetrical sweater (although it looks too warm for NY this time of year). What makes this special, though, is the little dog. He's looking directly at the camera and seems to be smiling. So funny!

What a gorgeous crisp outfit. And you even got the doggy to pose:)

I like the color combo. Cute dog.

A cute dog is always always a great accessory. It's either that or fantastic hair. Both take a lot of upkeep, but one doesn't need to go on walks.
This is really bold and beautiful, and the dog is totally into the shot! Great look
There's a bar on Spring & Mulberry:
I was looking out the window
when an elegant, pretty woman walked by
with her dog in tow and she stopped
to pose for a photograher.
It all seemed perfectly natural.
I'm sure I'm not the only reader who saw this outfit and IMMEDIATELY thought of the Buddhist monks in Thailand who wear the saffron robes with similar draping patterns. The Thai king's color is yellow too. She'd fit right in on the streets of Bangkok.
the dooooooooog!!! cutecutecute!!!
The color combination is perfect. Perfect. It makes her skin radiate. Everything here is fantastic, except:
She could do better than flip flops.
Those rings have to go. Take it to Albuquerque.
I'm not a big fan of the primary colors, and I can't help but wonder if she's roasting in that sweater!
She looks like a boudhist monk.
it screams spring/summer. it has to be the colors. MUY BIEN
i much prefer seeing women with dogs rather than cigarettes!
this neon is amazing ... love the geometry of the look
Love the deconstructed cardigan and the cute dog!

pretty yellow!
Love the shapes and colour combinations!!!
undeniably real! this photo captures fashion and life on the street...stepping into the flip flops only because she was out of the house.
I love the top style and the colors are amazing.
love the navy and yellow, such a nice combination! anyone has any idea where the sweater is from? haha and the dog is really funny!
This photograph melts me. As you feature bikes often, are you going to start to feature dogs? Nice coordination between the skirt and leash. Her rings are fabulous.
I love the asymmetric sweater and the bright yellow long dress! These two colors mix so well together!

Love the color combination, reminds me of an outfit I had
Yellow + navy never looked so whimsically beautiful.

her lovely smile & the little dog's expression make this photo.
i secretly think he little dog is thinking ' wow! photographed by the satorilaist..wait till i tell the other dogs in the park!'
So beautiful. What a cute little pup too.

Why is the dog's harness on upside down?
Love itt! :D
TOTALLY!

Love this outfit. The shape of the jacket and the sharp colour contrast work really well together.
love this! and the dog so cute :D
http://yellowbuttonss.blogspot.com/
cute outfit, but i think the dog's harness is lopsided
Luv the sweater! Where can I purchase one?
Anon 11:24, I believe the dog's harness is on correctly, it's one designed so that when he pulls is slows the front limbs rather than choking at the neck.
Love the look:0
she is gorgeous! Not sure about the one long one short sleeve though...
www.agreekabroad.com
Yes, if anyone has any idea of where that sweater is from, I'd love to get my hands on one like it. Love it all!
bright yellow + navy blue = perfect combination!
do we have here the new it-accesorize? Dog fever!
OH!! YES!!! The dog as perfect accessory - even the leash looks interesting! Nice.
love this picture! so summery.

This photo proves what I've always known, as a dog lover and dog owner: no matter how great you look, your dog will always upstage you. And that is one of the cutest beagles I've seen in a long time.
Lovely. Elegant mix of colours, interesting cut and the most perfect accessory, a comfortable smile.
The dog's pretty neat too.
nice pic. I swear, someone should do a blog just of people out walking their dogs.
Sweet happy look! Sweater is very nice but the rings are kind of tacky, sorry. Beautiful smile makes us for it though:)
D'accord with everyone - the dog's facial expression is priceless - smiling... perhaps - definitely a happy pup!
There is something about a person who dresses like a monk, but isn't (formally). Is is a past-life influence or a current life secret desire? Is it just a way of being from inside out, the interior practice of focused devotion to the greater All? Or, maybe she just likes the the combo of the blue and the yellow and together this is how it is perceived?
I'll always like the "monk" look, but I happen to, fashion-wise, give her props for attire - worth the pic!

That dog is into life.

AAAHH THE DOG!
one of my favourite flicks of the summer. in its entirety the ensemble, dog, sentiment, are all there! i miss new york city!
Saw her on the Subway on my way home - loved the yellow.
Colours are great, but this is a bit shapeless IMO.
The dog totally steals the show tho'!
I really like the brightness of her outfit and the overall glow coming from her. And her little doggie is just to much, it's like he's smiling.
One question... you have a great eye for style & chicness; and i've seen your photograph's of plus size men, but i don't recall seeing any plus size women.
Are there no fashionable plus size women in NY, Milan or Sweden? I happen to be plus size and think i'm pretty fashionable; if you'd like to come to California I'll let you shoot me.
Beautiful girl, comical little pup!
Love the little smiling dog!!
Her look is pretty cool, too. My first thought was that it's a re-thinking & re-contextualizing of the sari concept, but I definitely see the monks' robes resonance, too. There's something very graceful about the outfit as a whole.
What is it with the dog? Maybe because I am not a 'doggy person' but it seems irrelevant to me, despite the cutesy face it's pulling.
Such a cute and elegant dog !!
http://monsacbyme.com
Is this the first photo of someone walking a dog on The Sartorialist? It helps that the leash works not only as a dog accessory but as an accessory for her. She is beautiful and elegantly dressed even without the pooch's leash. I love the color choice and the draping. She knows how to dress herself. I must add that I love the dog's smile.
Love this pic <3
http://ameliechateliermusic.com
Wish I looked that good walking the dog!
Lovely, bright, comfortable look. The dog is very stylish, too. I love his markings.
Although I love the splendid combination of colours and the draping, it disfigures her slightly. Flip flops shouln't EVER be seen in public. Nevertheless a magnificent figure and the dog is great.
Greetings from Amsterdam.
love it!
So pretty!
www.modeuncover.com
They both have thew most amazing friendly smile and expression! I love how that bright tone of yellow suits her so perfectly. Not many could pull that off.
I'm sure she's nice, her face shines like her smile!
Effortlessly cool...love the yellow pop
It kinda looks like a modern sari made out of a slightly deformed sweater over a yellow dress- but she's totally workin' it! and that dog is adorable.
Her outfit is so cute! I love that color combination of yellow and blue.
Wow! There's nothing better than a Kill Bill palette with a smile.
that yellow is awesome, and the puppy is adorableee.

havainas!!
i love it! fashion forward but effortless.
I love her rings... fantastic!
oh that is so unexpectedly chic! the bright yellow and asymmetric top over it work so well together.
Nice, simple and a bit differenet from the usual stuff! Seems to be an update of a traditional garment, which is neat. And that is one HAPPY dog!
I love this!!! The dog totally makes this picture!
She's fresh and lovely and sweet. It's all working for me. I want the sweater... and the dog.
Her yellow maxi dress is extremely chic-et-belle.
http:/daniimodafolli.blogspot.com
The yellow and navy are great together. I wouldn't have thought it would be. Very nice outfit. Cute beagle. I think the harness is on wrong, but if it works for her, then thats all good.
"Sorry, but she looks like the Dalai Lama. The Milanese lady pulls off the color combo and proportions better". Anonymous said.
I had no idea about the concept "milanese lady", in fact, I have no idea about "milanese lady", and what about "napoli lady"? I prefer the South to the North
"milanese lady" sounds pretentious
On the other hand, I love asymetrical clothes.
kisses from Logroño, Spain
Awww... just fell in love with the little cutie! And the girl is awesome, her outfit is stunning! :)
looking at this who would remember old style advise that black and yellow don't go together, they soooo do, they even walk a dog ;)
excellent fashion photography!
you've done really awesome job :)
thanks a lot for sharing..
love the doggie and its leash!
Wow!
I have to dress in total combat-gear when walking my wild shepherd dog!
Does anyone recognize her navy knitwear? I would love to know the label. It's beautiful!
She is upstaging her dog.
www.jrocomedy.blogspot.com
Hmmm...I'm thinking the sweater is Alexander Wang. Wish I could get a better look at that dress, though. I am trying to find a good, brightly colored maxi skirt/dress for early fall.
I don't care what Sarah said about that harness, it looks wrong. How would that be useful? I just don't see it. Harnesses by design, distribute the control the walker has over the dog.
Sorry, Sart, this is distracting.
I love the photo though!
Such a lovely adorable dog !!!
Love the yellow dress.
Smiling dog as an accessory .. props!!!
Beautiful. Love the sweater.
This is a wonderful look and a wonderful picture
but...those sleeves would make me MENTAL. My left upper arm would be too hot outside and my right upper arm would be too cold inside...
Suffering for fashion, I suppose...
"havaianas, todo mundo usa"
Isnt she an Indian Model - Laksmi Menon?
Could she be any more beautiful and that color is TO DIE FOR!

Love the rings, and the yellow with the navy.
I love this look!
Nice PHOTO
I love her outfit and I just love how the dog has a smile that is as great as hers. They make a great pair.
love the colour and the smiles, both on the adorable dog and the lady
I like this smiling doggie!
I don't know what's more adorable...her smile or dog's smile. And I love how she wears yellow and blue, two colors that match perfectly! Stunning!
http://styledissection.com/
Love this, one of your best. Asymmetry, dog, color, sprit. Thanks.
I can't identify any of the clothing, but the dog's harness is an Easy Walk Harness and it is indeed on the dog correctly. My beagle mix rocks a blue one when we go on walks.
Pity about the thongs (flip-flops)
Only the chosen few can wear yellow and look this good
This photo gives such a content peaceful feeling!
The girl looks amazing in yellow! The dress fits her seamlessly!
And the dog is just super cute!!!:)
