Great picture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:45 PM) :

Those colors are astonishing. This pic is particularly welcome b/c I'm jonesing for some good, clear, sparkling sunlight--the mid-South has been wrapped in a miserable, humid, cranky-making haze for weeks. Thanks for reminding me that someday real weather may return. :)

Beautiful photo!

Blogger shishiwaldorf said ... (3:48 PM) :

I like black dresses.

Anonymous Chelsea said ... (3:48 PM) :

Beautiful Picture! That restaurant is AMAZING! Best Cubano in town!

Blogger xx said ... (3:52 PM) :

This looks like everything I want in life. Morning, New York, a cafe, a light read, and a classic black dress.

Blogger Marcushi said ... (3:52 PM) :

She's Gorgeous. I'd see her there and propose immediately!!

Beautiful colors.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:59 PM) :

I often think when I look at your photographs that I would never notice any beauty in your subjects if I saw them in person - it's your way of capturing and presenting them that makes them so lovely. But of course, you saw something, or you wouldn't have taken the must be amazing to have an eye like yours.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:05 PM) :

The primary colours contrast, red & blue, works wonderfully.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:05 PM) :

so sophisticated, she glows. i want to be like her when i grow up.

Blogger sophie said ... (4:06 PM) :

I love, so chic !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 PM) :

Because I seem to pay far more attention sometimes to what someone is reading than what someone is wearing, she is reading The $12 Million Stuffed Shark.

Blogger thwany said ... (4:14 PM) :

i love all the shadows.

Blogger beesandbugs said ... (4:16 PM) :

Amazing photo! And the girl is so beautiful :)

Blogger Rachel said ... (4:42 PM) :

This is gorgeous, it's like the bench is part of her outfit <3

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 PM) :

I love how the light accents key aspects of this lovely lady. The bold color that pops from the deep shadows gives drama to the photograph. It's a fabulous glimpse of a moment.

Anonymous mon sac by me said ... (4:51 PM) :

red and blue and shadows ! sublime shoot !!

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:57 PM) :

great picturee!

Blogger LRB said ... (4:58 PM) :

Beautiful setting and she looks simply gorgeous and cool in her shirt dress.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:05 PM) :

Am I the only one to think she forgot the dress the lower part of her body? I love long shirt dresses but sometimes a shirt is a shirt, not a dress.

Blogger Planet MarTay said ... (5:06 PM) :

Love everything about this picture...and I want her sandals!

Blogger Beatrice B. said ... (5:07 PM) :

This whole photograph is gorgeous with it's shiny red and blue... big <3

Anonymous Ian said ... (11:15 PM) :

She's beautiful, but not as beautiful as Cafe Habana's corn on the cob.

Anonymous Lingerie said ... (12:02 AM) :

Love the sandals - so much more feminine than the chunky shoes so many ladies are wearing. The simple look is really fabulous. Would love to know what that sign on the bench says.

Anonymous Issa said ... (2:49 AM) :

a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. on a random bench with a book to keep you company.

Blogger Lipstick Sunshine said ... (4:00 AM) :

Blogger Styleomad said ... (9:26 AM) :

Nice and simple. Would love to sit on the sidewalk in a summer morning in NYC and just watch people!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:59 AM) :

the dappled sunlight on her legs is lovely

Anonymous satsumi said ... (10:24 AM) :

I find her dress unflatteringly, immodestly short. Three extra inches of fabric would've sent this look into the realm of perfection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:37 AM) :

Nice picture and nice leg!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:34 PM) :

Reading is fundamental!

Blogger Ashley said ... (1:52 PM) :

She is so beautiful and has gorgeous flowing hair. I am wondering though - is she wearing a top and skirt or a dress? Regardless, she looks simple and chic.

Blogger lollipop4598 said ... (8:51 AM) :

I love black summery dresses. I even have a couple of black shirt dresses that are similar. That is a perfect example of how its done. Great sandals, too. You find the most amazing people.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:52 AM) :

Her poise looks as if she may be a professional ballerina.

Blogger Lily said ... (2:35 PM) :

I love her shirt, it's so minimalist yet chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:54 PM) :

unassuming, elegant style with the body to go along--wish I could pull that off!! Love your pictures, and I actually learn a lot from the comments about what makes good style. Please take more pictures of in shape, middle aged women (you do include more middle aged men which is great) with interesting style. We need lots of inspiration in this age group!! Thanks in advance......

Anonymous LIZPR said ... (6:12 PM) :

Love the contrast of the red bench against the electric blue storefront. The subject looks cool and sophisticated though I think only a petite woman could have pulled off this look sans leggings .... there's too much upper thigh, here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:25 AM) :

She looks so relaxed ...makes me want to sit down on a bench, reading a book in the sunny afternoon ....

Anonymous antique engagement rings said ... (6:17 AM) :

I love her look.... shes really lovely!

Anonymous Daniela Zagnolli said ... (9:16 AM) :

This black outfit is perfect.amazing looks , love your dress so much. love as always! You look gorgeous, and your style is incredibly sophisticated!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:17 PM) :

Nice pic. BTW, for all who think her dress is too short, she is actually wearing a black shirt with shorts. I can tell because I have the same shirt from J Crew.

Anonymous Bohemian Design said ... (12:43 PM) :

Simple but tasteful!

Beautiful. I love walking around Nolita, its where you see a lot of gems. Especially where she's sitting at. Cafe Habana.

Anonymous H said ... (8:34 PM) :

Does anyone ever click on the links left by people pimping their own blog/shop/site? I don't. On principle. Its irritating that people use Scott's comments section as a forum for self-promotion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:12 PM) :

I love the casual cool vibe you get from this lady.. However, the photo itself is gorgeous! The colour and composition is great :)

Blogger eljovendario said ... (11:53 PM) :
