love these looks, particularly the pocket square in the first photo...

Anonymous Joshua Tizon said ... (4:49 PM) :

The last picture is the most put together and natural looking to me. It looks effortlessly cool and the sweater pocket really adds some detail to the outfit.

So glad to see a post on Henleys one of my favourite garments. Fantastic for warmth in winter layering colours and as your post amply demonstrates style.

Love your blog! Just wondering if you ever photograph people who are plus size. You are great at showing people of all ages; would love to see people of all sizes. Surely, thin people aren't the only stylish ones out there.

Blogger burke said ... (6:03 PM) :

Love all three photos... But the first one is my favourite!!!!

Xxx from Formentera, Spain!! :D

Anonymous Sian said ... (6:06 PM) :

It must be very warm in Florence at this time of year so I have great respect for anyone braving the heat in layers and a suit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 PM) :

Never been to Europe, but I'm guessing that it is summer over there, and I hear that air conditioning is not as prevalent there as it is here; so I don't understand how so many guys are layered up in jackets and sweaters? The first guy is dressed well, but all I see is his beautiful watch.

Blogger Evan said ... (10:46 PM) :

So COOL..and Casual

Blogger Mountain Dandy said ... (11:31 PM) :

I love the henley with the blazer and pocket square.

Blogger aps + lou said ... (11:32 PM) :

V necks for men will never get old. There's so much sex appeal with them...and also an unexpected element of cuteness! I think a wide range of types of men can pull this off. And, they're a great item for girlfriends to borrow. Lovely photos.

Blogger Michel Ghanem said ... (11:36 PM) :

i WANT the sweater on the third guy, so chic

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 PM) :

The third outfit and second gentleman are, as my German friends would say, very pleasant.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:06 AM) :

I like the Henley options. Dignified jackets and snuggle-up-to-me Henleys. That's a great mix.

Blogger lollipop4598 said ... (12:39 AM) :

The last guy is certainly the hottest, but somehow i doubt it has to do with his outfit. Although i very much like that everything he wears is fitted. No looseness.

Anonymous meenal@maison marigold said ... (12:40 AM) :

that first guy is so stylish..layering at is very best..xx meenal

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:28 AM) :

I love the style in the first shot! It's very masculine but a definite conscious choice that raises the look above something thrown together, or something cobbled to make a traditional business uniform.

Blogger Nomadic D. said ... (2:01 AM) :

Love all of these! The last photo might be the one that translates easiest, but they are all so hot!

Anonymous mon sac by me said ... (2:05 AM) :

First guy look likes the great Robert de Niro !

Blogger Michelle Lee said ... (3:19 AM) :

Blogger Bigio said ... (4:16 AM) :

Great pictures, great outfits!

Blogger 34Chic said ... (4:36 AM) :

The third one is fantastic, simple chic, and so cute. Love.

Anonymous IS THIS IT? models review said ... (4:45 AM) :

My fav is the third - even if wait, when I do this kind of combination the shirt below (if longer, the way it is here) has to be quite tight... :)

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:59 AM) :

The first man owns a lot of style, so so fashion!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:00 AM) :

i love the first outfit!

Blogger Annie Chang said ... (5:13 AM) :

dandy photos! love all pieces!

Anonymous proletarian Great Gatsby said ... (5:19 AM) :

I want the first outfit, the knitten jacket of the second one and the grey sweater with a pocket of the third one.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:23 AM) :

Always very inspiring.... Congratulation Schott.

Keep up the good Job

Blogger CAPITAL THREAD said ... (5:58 AM) :

grey button up is very chic, I like the double layered shirt of the second gentleman with a mod wayfarers glasses

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:28 AM) :

These looks would be great for autumn or
if you spend all day inside an air conditioned building

I live in the summer humidity of New York, and I'm sweating just looking at the jackets and sweaters being worn outdoors.

Anonymous caterina said ... (6:52 AM) :

3 different ways to wear grey and not to be grey

Blogger amyanne said ... (7:05 AM) :

the dude abides in number two

Anonymous antique engagement rings said ... (7:06 AM) :

Blogger Suzanne Bean said ... (10:14 AM) :

The love the layered look in the first photo. The watch also makes a nice touch. Casual cool!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 AM) :

I'm so tired of the scruffy-beard look. And, everyone holding a phone in their pictures.

Blogger Mertxe Hernàndez said ... (11:20 AM) :

Anonymous mas said ... (12:09 PM) :

Blogger Nadine2point0 said ... (1:00 PM) :

The last gentleman is the only one who has it right - can't dress up the henley IMO

Anonymous The Bohmerian said ... (2:41 PM) :

I like in the third photo.

Anonymous Jennifer said ... (3:00 PM) :

The Henley is such an authentic piece. LOVE the looks.

Blogger Hannah said ... (3:59 PM) :

The men are surely handsome, but I really don't like the 1st look.

It's too stark a contrast with the light cotton henley and the formal jacket/hankerchief.

Jus' sayin'.

Blogger Mira said ... (5:06 PM) :

I like him!

Blogger Candice Tarnowski said ... (8:40 PM) :

iy yiy yiy ya - that neckline and waistline! sigh.

Anonymous Claire M. said ... (9:26 PM) :

I love the outfits

Blogger HStrang said ... (11:16 PM) :

Henley's are just sexy - on any age, at any time, in any place. Men, please wear more of them. And not just in Paris and Florence!

Thank you for these gorgeous photos. You are the best!

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:28 PM) :

Out of the three looks, I'd have to say the third is my favorite. The first outfit just looks thrown together; none of it looks cohesive. The gentleman in the second picture looks like kinda like he rolled out of bed, slicked his hair back and threw a sweater on. Finally the third look may be simple but that's what makes it work.

Blogger Lavanya Venkatraman said ... (5:43 AM) :

Different shades of Italian men!!! I truly admire the styling of the gentleman in the first photograph with the layering of a V-neck cardigan over a Henley neck tee and adorned by a casual jacket on top!!! Stylishly casual!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:03 PM) :

Does anyone know where you can get a good henley?

Blogger marva said ... (2:34 AM) :

so hot!!

Anonymous Andy said ... (12:27 AM) :

I like his hairstyle is very simple but cool

Blogger Allison said ... (11:15 AM) :

I love the belt in the last photo. These men all know how to pull their styles together. I tip my hat. God bless Europe.

Blogger MsS said ... (6:28 PM) :

If I was a man, I'd definitely dress like this!

Anonymous Symonne said ... (7:42 PM) :

I think the green accents in each photo are what make the suite really brilliant for me. From the line on the pocket square in the first photo, to the emerald colour of the gentleman's eyes in the second, and the glasses to the right of the third.

Anonymous NextCenturySean said ... (9:00 PM) :

I love that each of these gents has their own clear sense of style and individuality but it is still understated.

Blogger Igor Stolyarov said ... (6:38 AM) :

Very impressive!

Anonymous Scunny said ... (2:51 PM) :

Henleys are mint

Blogger elisa said ... (7:17 PM) :

Damn layering is sexy! also like the superposition of different greys and whites.

Blogger pityadd said ... (4:58 AM) :

#2 looks like Ringo, to me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 PM) :

Who is the man in suit and green glasses?Would love to see his outfit. He looks familiar, Fabrizio Rollo I suppose..

Blogger tinyjunco said ... (11:29 AM) :

ah, these mens look so rugged and carefree with their whiskers taking care of themselves......

or so it seems. until you live with a husband spending hours and $$$ trying to capture the perfect "stubble nonchalant". it is a great look, making one think of the charms of beard-burn, and spot-on with those henleys.

but nowhere near low-maintenance. steph
