What a well dressed man! I wish more of the guys in my life dressed like him. :)

Blogger jackie said ... (5:16 PM) :

this gentleman looks great, too bad ladies his age, can't dress young like he does- if not, they look crazy.

Blogger Natalie Leung said ... (5:20 PM) :

look at that lovely tailored suit. he screams george cloony. but this is the way all men should dress

Blogger Cecilia W. said ... (5:24 PM) :

Wow, if that isn't the whitest, crisp...-est shirt I've ever seen...and the cuffs are so beautifully peeking out from the sleeves of the blazer. I don't know why but that's my favourite thing about this photo. :)

To be elegantly clad in unbuttoned
white shirt
requires the attainment
of Sartorial Zen.

Anonymous carole said ... (10:22 PM) :

Wow...what a beautiful, sexy, well dressed man!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 PM) :

this is not special. he could be wearing a grubby tee shirt and high-rise dad-jeans and still have the same something. it is not his outfit that makes him look incredible.

Wow, he looks great!

Ooh my god so classic and so sexy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 AM) :

If only everyine could age this way

Blogger Bella said ... (1:12 AM) :

I love this elegant look, and think he must be a very interesting man. I do not agree with the comment that if a woman of his age dressed like this she would look wrong, these are classic pieces and can be worn at all ages, male or female. Great pic!

Blogger ChalcedonyofSF said ... (2:00 AM) :

It is amazing how phenomenally BEAUTIFUL a soul looks in the most deceptively simple attire. Truth!

Know Thyself. He is wearing 2 colors, 3 if you count the silver watch - there is nothing intricate about his choice of clothing, just deliberate. Beautiful is wearing a suit jacket (but notice the slant of the handkerchief pocket!), the nearly starched white dress shirt (again, notice the cuffs are not buttoned - Oops! My bad, I mean cuff-linked and they are peeking a tad bit more than expected, from the jacket's cuffs), and fitted, but not worn jeans (not all jeans are created equal). This gentleman never ever has a need to shout... anything; except again, by choice. He's not calculating, just tempered... perhaps, or maybe that is what he wants us to think... :)

In Zen, it is called "detail no-detail", I believe, and I need to be on HIS planet!

Beautiful. Age means nothing, sexy is sexy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:25 AM) :

Just to answer a few comments there: of course what a good spot from the Sartorialist.. but I can guarantee you that MOST men dress up that well in Milano (trust me, I live here!). It is either this or the total shiny D&G look.. so thanks for choosing this one :))

Blogger Michelle Lee said ... (3:26 AM) :

such a perfect classic look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:27 AM) :

So sexy...

Anonymous Traumeel said ... (5:17 AM) :

What an attitude!!!

I am impressed. According to your few white hairs looks like he's an aged person. But while looking towards his way of standing as well as style. A very marvelous attitude seems. I think he can also compete with most of the youngsters still in this age.. :)

Anonymous alister said ... (5:50 AM) :

He is breaking one of the "rules", he has something in the pocket of his blazer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:26 AM) :

Has to be the most handsome and well-dressed (the fit!!!!) man on your site in ages.

Blogger THORND MAGAZINE said ... (12:10 PM) :

Nice outfit (: is the watch a Rolex Day-Date?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 PM) :

I love your pictures from Italy. In particular those from everyday life. The implicitness of the style competence let me breathless. I am not a big fan of Italy or the italian mentality, but I have to admire theire style.

Anonymous antique engagement rings said ... (3:35 PM) :

I love the jacket.. the blue color is gorgeous!

Blogger JULIANE said ... (4:13 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:38 PM) :

Quality wins every time. perfectly cut blazer and the darkest of navy makes the difference. well fitting jeans and a white shirt. this gentleman is a breath of fresh air. no gimmicks; a man comfortable in his own skin. thank you Scott!

Blogger jy196 said ... (5:39 PM) :

From this single shot, he practically oozes refinement, chartm, worldliness, and best of all, sex appeal. You just know that he would know just where to eat, drink, shop and chill. Oh man, he would be hard to shop for!

Anonymous Liz said ... (9:51 PM) :

I *knew* this was taken in Italy just based on the FIT - slim, cut close in the sides - perfect.

Scott, you once shot a young guy kicking a soccer ball - he was in jeans and a jacket - a youthful version of this man - and I'll NEVER forget what you wrote about Italian fit, and calling him "Rafael Lorentini" or something like that - which cracked me up. Ralph Lauren all'Italia, indeed!

Blogger ................. said ... (12:40 AM) :

I love this look...very sexy!!

Anonymous parisanddawn said ... (1:19 AM) :

i absolutely love the simplicity of this outfit and the laid back but powerful vibes that it gives out.I even love how the hair is pulled/ combed back. simplicity at its best.

What Monsieur Da Chump said.

Blogger Suzanne Bean said ... (2:40 AM) :

He seems to put simple items together and WOW!! Love the look, both in cloths and in the man. Fabulous image.

Anonymous IS THIS IT? models review said ... (4:55 AM) :

The classic (and classy) "casual elegance" is always great, nothing else to say...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:14 AM) :

Un italiano vero!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:03 PM) :

He is wonderfully handsome and well-dressed, but I think his most attractive aspect is how closely he seems to be listening to the woman--slightly leaning forward, eyes focused, a thoughtful line between his brows.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:38 PM) :

WOW! I had to do a double-take on this one. So refined. I am loving this one. Check out that slanted pocket. Not something you see everyday.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:30 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:34 AM) :

The pushed-back sleeves are the best! The bulge in the jeans doesn't hurt either.
