Love the pants he's wearing. The wide leg is beautiful.
In Fashion and Style
An Individual Style. I Love It.
cool
The tailored wide leg was always where it was at! From Marithé + François Girbaud to the myriad of billowy and bell bottomed designs that swept us all through the 70's. This pictures a whole new kind of groovy. New lines and a whole new cool.
Odd, but I like it!
Amazing! This guys has soooo much style. Men should be more brave about what they wear, because "different" can look brilliant when it's done right!

he rocks the wide legged trend!
Didn't you photograph him with a woman (possibly his girlfriend) a while back? I believe he was smoking in that photo too ;)

Hahaha crazy trousers! :)

I ve got the same fisherman's trousers from Thailand, so so comfortable to wear.
I love his style...very personal and very confident! Love it!
brilliant silhouette....who's this guy? love his style
wide leg trousers are a favorite of mine, but I like to see it balanced with a more fitted top. Interesting looks none the less. I wonder who he is?
Brilliant way to take Thai Fisherman Pants beyond yoga classes and beaches!
I havt the biege pants, they are beautiful..
The smoking ruins it.
There is something about the first shot that is striking (though I'm not a fan of the silhouette). I find the outfit, esp the pants, in the second image rather unflattering
Wow! Who is this young man? Love the pants in the first photo and his coat in the second photo. Interesting shape: the cut of the trousers seem to elongate his figure. Dont like his hair.
Those are some interesting pants man.
Cheers,
Malo

Refreshing above all.

A lot of smokers in your photos. I know you're not a health inspector but still..
that is very different! I like it :)

He is my second cousin! No lies, he is lovely and his name is Joel. xx *HI JOEL*
I hate cigarettes, but i loved both pictures! He has a great style! I feel sorry for guys sometimes, they dont have too many choices like we girls have, but if they have a cool personality and dare to take chances they can end up having a nice and stylish wardrobe.
Never seen a guy wear pants like that--- he totally pulls it off!
La Petite Marmoset
great looks and the smoking definitely doesn't ruin it.
liese.

wow! 90´s heritage!!!!
cool!
he has smthing special...yes!
These looks are unreal. I am a huge fan of elephant pants-time to get ride of the tights! He proves they can be rocked equally by both men and women...makes me want fall to come so I can bring out the pants again.

Prerequisite for wide-legged silhouette: Tallness. Thinness.
Otherwise they look like elephant legs.
The wide leg looks amazing. Individual style but he pulls it off.

The grey pants are actually from that old Dior collection with the fire on the runway. Super thick wool and a very extreme wide leg but i guess they look better from the side.
And yes, i smoke like a chimney it's embarassing
Wow, interesting shape, the pants seem to elongate his figure. Love the jacket in the second photo!
I mean...seriously??
bold and fantastic. i love these shots.

want & need the beige pants!!
The pants in the first picture are so interesting. They look to be like a "paper bag" waist, with attached sash. I'd love to know who the designer is...?
I love that personal silhouette. Certainly not a look I could accomplish BUT I love the way this man pulls it off perfectly!
Check out my trendy blog!

I'm so sick of the boring smoking comments. We're not children, we don't need the moral police saying "it's not ok to smoke!" just in case we wer in any doubt. Smoking looks sexy, like it or not. Save your preaching for church.
Generally I do like this silhouette. Reminds me old sailor’s uniform. But the second photo, the one with fur jacket, I find the silhouette (not the concept, just shape) very feminine. Don't you think?

Totally loving the 2 pictures...How great it is to enjoy fashion....
Love them....thx Scott

i knew a guy who would wear pants like that. he would slide around the hallways in them like he was playing baseball.

This guys is so classic vintage new age chaos!

i think its hot that he has on wide legged pants & i love that coat! he does a greatv job at pushing the envelope. it totally works.
unique and refreshing!
this man is fascinating
I love it on him but I am not ready for big pants again.
I love his look. It´s a kind of dandy :D
never seen wed-leg pants on a man before..not for everyone for sure..he carries it well..don't like his hair though..xx meenal
Love his haircut!
Really cool! He looks great. The wide pants are so beautiful. And the cigarette looks so cool too. He looks lovely.
wonderful
This is kind of AMAZING!

i love wide leg pant look bordering the floor, its a melting binding look but when you walk you can see the shoes and its divine
love black hair + black ring + black eye. nice shot!

Mmm, don't know, unique he's unique, but... well, btw I prefer 1st pic after all...
http://www.isthisitmodelsreview.com/
actually I don't like this model of trousers but they work on these guys! Great pics!
www.abitoffashion.com
hmm... not keen on all the smoking and his hair cut is a bit brutal but the trousers are great.
Great pants! Finally we might see some changes and say goodbye to those narrow short pants that we have seen sooooo much !!!
Fashion for tall and thin guys ! Get ready for some 30's looks to come back in the picture!
Cheers,
Diego Montoya from Paris
I am very curious about this character. He has invested a lot of thought and money into creating a look that does not flatter his figure his body shape. Why?
I would love to hear his story.
he's definitely pulling that look off.
nouveauskin.blogspot.com
Well he's his personal style, but I don't like it.
Love the pants!
www.thebigiofactor.blogspot.com
Both of these shots are interesting, and I believe they probably exemplify the subjects' personality more than we know. I'd be willing to bet that neither one of these guys woke up that morning and thought, "What should I wear today to look cool?" They just "got dressed."
I also find it somewhat amusing when the comments speculate about the branding of the clothes (Dior?). I bet if we could look at the tag, we wouldn't see a name we recognize.
And perhaps I'm a style prude, but the first thing I thought when I looked at the second photo was "the necklace ruins it."
men in bell bottoms is a very interesting combination. it's such an interesting and fabulous!! I love it.

Love it!

Why not! :-)
Très original.
No, I don't like him so much .................
pretty interesting style...kinda weird but interesting...hmmm
www.themadtoter.blogspot.com
dude got style! those heavy oxfords are AWESOME with the tibetan fisherman style wrap pants. Great idea.
His pants lengths are perfect INHO!
I'm using pants like these since last summer, here in Brazil. But mine are made of linen. I thought I was the only one that liked these silhouette for man. It's nice to see other guys using. I need one for the winter too! :)
I think those magnificent trousers need tucked in shirts and definitely no slouching.
very much a 90's feel to the entire look..from the bi-level hair to the super wide trousers.
done originally as a goth look..with black trousers.
i don't know if im convinced. the pants will have to grow on me, but i generally dont like wide leg pants on a man.
There's something very comic book -like in both outfits: Mickey Mouse shoes in the first picture and I believe I've seen that fur coat, only longer, in a Disney comic from the 30's as well. And he's wearing both with a medieval haircut. Interesting!
He's got serious style. Love the way he addresses his body type--guys are generally "expected" or "supposed to" have broad shoulders & be "V" shaped, but he turns his narrowness into a cool, stylized, striking from by reversing the expected. Nicely done!
smoker in clown pants...ugh.
I think these looks totally rock. I love the wide legged pants on him, he's very tall and thin. Otherwise he'd look like a beanpole. I also love the layers, I mean, he can pull it off, right?
Interesting sense proportions. I really like his fragile gold necklace in the second pic.
theBohmerian
though i appreciate personal style--all the power to him--i think this looks brutal, but thats just my opinion!
Very interesting trousers. The cinch tie wide-legged style is actually common among the South East Asian males. I have Balinese and Malaysian trousers (in traditional print) designed like that!
he is obviously loving his wide legged pants. He would have looked lovely in skinnies too with his lanky frame. What strikes me most is his devil-may-care air about him. Love an attitude. :) Great shots of the bloke.
wow
I don't think i've ever had so many people discussing me before!
Thanks for the lovely pictures Scott. I hated the shows in January. It was too cold to wear what I wanted and I suck at the 7 day suitcase wardrobe. So at least I have a golden snapshop of a miserable moment.
xxx
Joel
Great line for these trousers. Wide legs, narrow top often works (far better than the reverse, in any case!)
http://davidikus.blogspot.com/
Love the thai wrap pants in the first picture. I used to wear those all the time but they never worked so well for me as they do for this fellow.
wow, look at those trousers!!
http://heelsandinspiration.blogspot.com
This is fashion for man! LOVEEE
pants times 2. niceeeee! love it.
nice pants!!
Looks like Manchester, 1989, waiting outside the Hacienda.
the trousers are kind of taking over everything
I do love skinnies though... Haha, but seriously this looks quite nice, the second one more so. The grey pants and that coat! :O
Smoke looks fantastic in photo's, and it's obviously something this guy does (both photos non?) and I wish people wouldn't get all high and mighty about it. Personal choice guys. Get over it.
Someone buy me that coat......
From Australia<3
This is so good on the eye. He has poise. The woolen material falls so nicely. I will copy.
amo su estilo!
Joel, I think you look brilliant and keep on doing what you want to. I can see from the first shot that no-one around you looks remotely dressed like you. They are very regular even the green pants. You give me inspiration for taking a stand, fighting the dullness and making great lines with clothing. Red and blue are great. I love the black jacket. It's hard for me to tell if it is women's or men's but it's really beside the point. A great jacket is a great jacket.
Did you see the recent pic on this blog of the gent with icecream? You'd look pretty cool holding one of those also!
:-)
What a sweet style! Womanish elements ie: wide leg trousers, faux fur coat, necklace, with menswear layers and boy cut. Uber-cute and original!
Wow, amazing!! <3
so refreshing to see a young gentlemen in a wide leg trouser..
LOOOOOOOVE!!!
Very interesting style, I like the way he plays with new male silhouettes.
Nice individual style but the gray pants do nothing for him.
super cool
Love the first pair of pants he's wearing.
Love it!
Fashion seems to be gravitated with smoke i guess.. it keeps coming on like that at least! xoxo
I have a pair of similar waist-tie pants that I purchased a while back...The store owner called them "parachute pants". Love them.

Can see more this pants in thailand. In the 1st picture in thai said "kha-kuay". It's so simply for thai people.
Whose pants are those in the first photo, the nutmeg color?
welcome back flare pants!
i desperately ask somebody to tell me where the pants are from!
Heart breaker
i seldom fall in love with people on pictures, since it's not really ok to do that if you're not 14. but i just did. wow! the style! and such a beautiful man! i'm breathtaken.
perfection. doing androg in the most stylish of ways.
