I like the red bag peeping out, and the red nails.
Great hat!
Love the colour of the belt and bag. Gorgeous hat.

Nice photo ... so pathetic!
What an interesting hat!
The cut of that coat is beautiful. The width of that lapel!
Such an effortlessly chic look!

Is that Laurie Anderson?
I can't imagine anyone else owning that hat.
A confident and assured way to coordinate navy--even the tree looks impressed.
Like the navy look and her belt, handbag and hat keeps the navy look from going overboard
Love her hat!

I love it

Oh. Yoko!
i love how deep this navy is. almost black but not. kind of surprises you.

Cute hat! :)

I like the solid look from head to toe. The gray hat adds a nice pop and is pretty hip.
Great shot, as always!!

I love the cut of the trousers and the coat.
http://dollydotgirl.blogspot.com
It's her low-waisted belt that won my heart. Yes, the hat is wonderful but...love love love how she styled her coat.
Great subdued look, almost sculptural.

Love it!.. Have a great weekend, ~ xoxo
Loving the dark hues... I feel it may be the inspiration for an outfit on our cold, dreary, wet weekend. (At least it would give me *something* to look forward to...)
Love the punctuations of red in the sea of navy/black/grey! Cool hat.

Ghost of Annie Hall...
I'm SO not a fan of this look. But what I do like are her red nails peeking out and her red bag. What's happening with the rolled up pants? It feels like way too much navy. Is that possible?
LOVE the Simple Portrait, Florence below. Classic.

I love the direction this blog is going in! It is inspiring to me as an artist! love this women and are unique flow!

I love how a lot of the light hits her lovely hat. I wonder where she bought it.
Hats are back! I love her booths as well. Annie Hall updated, great!
hmm not too sure about the length of the pants and the socks showing, but the belt looks like the kind i've been on the hunt for!
still lovely, and she gets cool points for being able to pull this outfit off.

lovely lovely lovely. as usual... =)

Perfect
Almost four consecutive pictures showing people with cell phones...
This look is perfectly suited to her build. The waist on the pant, the belt, the coat with the low belt, the wide lapel - this is a great look. I'd like to see her bag - I bet it's interesting.
We love how the hat and a pop of color with the bag really changes the scope of a simple outfit. Great shot!
So androgynous I'm not sure whether it's a he or she - but that's not a bad thing, is it?
love this look! so minimalistic...

loving the hat! i wish we had a close up of the bag

Super cute! I love that hat
http://missmollyfashions.blogspot.com/
I love this look, rather interesting proportions, and then, the hat! A little green on top, a little navy for the rest. Aren't rolled up pants this season?
Sweet hat.
http://izzenxoxo.blogspot.com/
modern cut of her clothes
A very cool hat. I also like how the belt and bag match as well.
Gotta love those tailored trousers.

I like the hat!
La Petite Marmoset
This is absolutely brilliant!
The hat is adorable, and that satchel colour is gorgeous!

A bit too crazy for my taste, but the colors are certainly an interesting combination. I admire her for wearing exactly what she wants, and you for taking her photo! 2945abc45 0423
It is Yoko isn't it?
what a hat!! love the image..happy easter!! xx meenal
great hat
have a great weekend :)
http://pinklemonincrystal.blogspot.com
It doesn't matter what you are wearing, I don't believe anyone looks cool hunched over their smartphone, texting. Is it just me?
Love the red accents
LOOKS LIKE A LOEWE RED HERITAGE BAG HANGING ON HER SHOULDE... ;;;)
Very sophisticated look. Love the colour palette, although it's a bit dark for spring.
Great photo!
http://beesandbugs.blogspot.com
Nice picture. The hat makes the look imvho. In France, only the very conservative would wear a mix of navy blue, bottle green & claret red.
Is it the same in NYC?

Is this YOKO?
I love this style.
Her demeanor is so understated, yet still oozing class. The red nails compliment the bag beautifully.
Loving the hat!
That looks says stylish AND intelligent to me.
greeeat! love it!
anybody knows what kind of hat is that? I believe Burberry had a season where everyone wore the same hat.
Scott, I adore your work and without a doubt you have a great eye for detail and individualistic fashion. That being said, I would love to see more photographs of people of color. If a person takes a quick look at the entirety of your current first page, it's evident that there is a very euro-centric focus. Because your page draws audiences of all colors and backgrounds, it is important to mirror this. The fashion world is already alienating enough to so many people, yet street fashion is a realm that everyone has the possibility of truly connecting to.
I like the composition of this photo and the moment you caught!
is that Yoko Ono?!
xo
looks like a rere
Is that Yoko Ono? Following Ines de la F's advice about switching to navy from black ?
looks good
what a great hat!
I love the coat! It has a great long collar and low belt with fitted sleeves. This woman looks like the sea at night. Dark navy blue with a hint of green, red and grey...well other than the red, she would look like the sea lol
having blogs like the sartorialist make people's life more beautiful!congratulations!
Really great look, I like so much her hat!!
http://itslaboutfashion.blogspot.com/
I agree - on first sight I thought that this was Yoko Ono. What a lovely, comfortable look - love the way the satchel matches the belt as if by accident.
My first thought was Annie Hall too. Or I thought she might be an artist. But the red nails sort of rule out the arts. Artists tend to have ragged fingernails. Comes from working with the hands.
What a lovely outfit! I'm especially loving the collar on the coat!
kindah depressing... forlorn... not very present this person... but then i suspect that's the modern portrait of the day
Beautiful coat.
love the mix of that red and the black outfit
:)
Glad I'm not the only one who thought it looked like Yoko.
Like a modern day pilgrim...
This photo could be from another century...if not for the tech gadget in hand.
Sometimes these short trousers look so perfect, like here. Sometimes they look redicilous. What exactly makes the difference?
absolutely lovely !
http://kimsmadworld.blogspot.com/
Love her hat!
In Moda Veritas
oh my.
now those are the kind of boots you could run the world in.
i have some like that.
it helps ;-)
team gloria.
I should say; First black, second navy!
Yvonne.
Love the hat!
Xx
Scott.
Photos of prints please? :) And prints being mixed?
Thanks!
I really like the green shirt or sweater underneath with the belt and the red bag...I almost didn't notice it at first!
ivy m.
WOW! She is so beautiful, what immense style... thank you to this lady for getting dressed in the morning, and to you for photographing her so well X
I'd like to see that bag!
Lovely shot!

Kay Eiffel: I read this, in this fantastically depressing book, that when you jump from a building, it's rarely the impact that actually kills you.
She would totally text this. While smoking a 100 in the rain.
*Stranger Than Fiction
for a split second, is this yoko ono?
i love her trousers!!!
i'm so adoring the hat. i really need one now in brown for those summer getaways.

Love navy blue, so classic, yet done quite modern here
Subtlety perfect. I love to see fashion without the flash sometimes.
For the twentysomething Carrie Bradshaw:
http://sexandthestartercity.wordpress.com/
do you know the designer of the coat? it is simply amazing.
You nailed it, by the way. Displays the same talent with colour, form, contrast, and focus as the Impressionists.
Is that Yoko?
Love hats...

love the coat, fabulous!
yoko ono?
Ah, I see it's been said already.... I like this look a lot.
Annie Hall circa 2011
I said it before (not to you), and I'll say it again: cellphones are the new cigarettes. Just with bad posture.
Annie Hall?
