GENUINE NONCHANLANCE. Not the calculated variety.
I'll bet this wonderful man has had his camel coat for YEARS! That is the value of buying really good clothes ... And taking care of them.
In my opinion, his hat is a Trilby. (Tiny distinctions separate it from a Fedora.)

That gentleman has presence, true class. His demeanor, his smile, the hat; perfect.

Blogger Marie said ... (1:31 AM) :

this guy likes quality... maybe he's owned that coat for a long time. It has some wear on the breat pocket... but nice quality. He is stylish! There's a beauty in hands of older people. I care for a lady in the last stage of her life... I can relate. Also I was just reminded of a beautiful picture of a detailed shot of my grandparents holding hands. Its a picture of their hands. Hands are so much a part of who a person is.

This picture brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me so much of my father. Not so much the face, but how this stylish, classic gentleman is dressed. My father was from a generation of gentlemen; where even on a flight he would wear a suit and a tie - that generation is fast dwindling, I'm afraid. Let's hope we remember, learn and continue the art of dressing. Thank you for this photo.
