Fantastic legs!!!!!(leg)I'm sure the other one is quite lovely too.
The chick in the background looks like a winner too! Should of waited Scott.

Strong beatiful legs. I love how their muscular and toned and not waif skinny.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:15 AM) :

Yes, I totally agree with Scott and the caption. I also agree with "anonymous."

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 AM) :

You gotta love NYC in the summer. Makes me want to jump on the next plane to LaGuardia.

beautiful girls
great movie too

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 AM) :

As a woman, I love this, mostly because it took until my late 20s to realize that stick skinny legs were not actually great legs. That legs with a little muscle and curve are great legs! It's a beautiful picture and a beautiful point.

Anonymous v9z said ... (10:26 AM) :

terras nailed it.

Blogger Roya said ... (10:36 AM) :

Those legs... I die.

Anonymous Rich Beaubien said ... (10:38 AM) :

Blogger kayang said ... (11:35 AM) :

Oh wow, I am envious.

Anonymous CK Dexter Haven said ... (11:36 AM) :

Couldn't be sexier if she were nude.

Anonymous Greg said ... (11:39 AM) :

Ever since I was old enough to care, I've strongly held the belief that New Yorkers have the best legs of anyone. My personal theory on the matter is that it has something to do with both public and private transportation being so expensive in the city. I'm joking, of course, but I'm also kind of not joking.

Blogger Alexandra said ... (11:45 AM) :

Such a stunning picture...she's so chic and sporty at the same time. And I can testify to biking as a good means to amazing legs...once I started using it as my way of commuting, I definitely noticed a huge improvement!

Anonymous Laurent said ... (11:46 AM) :

Traffic accidents in NY increase in Summer. Apparently, men find it difficult to keep their eyes on the road. "What girl? what legs? I'm only watching the traffic, Love." Killer legs. Nice photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

Yes, biking is good for your legs! She looks fantastic, I love the little skirt with this, as if it wasn't slightly odd to wear with a bike. Which I guess it isn't.

Anonymous Indolecia said ... (11:52 AM) :

Perfect in every way possible. I wish there were a 1000 pictures of her, her bike and those perfect legs.

Blogger Mia E said ... (11:55 AM) :

great legs. wouldve been better is she was wearing heels :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:06 PM) :

If only she were wearing a helmet, then the picture would be perfect.

Anonymous Maraa said ... (12:13 PM) :

I really love cicling, but it has not the same results on me! I love your blog, you take a personal point of view of the world you are living in!I think that Your pics are artistic, narcissist, but naive in the same time... I hope to meet you one day somewhere... kisses from Italy
p.s. I bought your book and I have definitively enjoyed it

Anonymous Céci said ... (12:16 PM) :

Oh my god, these are legs! Perfect duet with the air. I want this color and texture for mines(talking for both things, hair and legs)

Anonymous sexyetsy said ... (12:22 PM) :

wow, sexy!
even sexier if she were to put on a nice helmet (to protect that pretty noggin)...

Anonymous Corinna said ... (12:26 PM) :

here's hope we can all look so comfortably like a ballerina on point. love the shape of her legs, hurray for strength and vitality!

Anonymous jimjims said ... (12:29 PM) :

wow. love her colors.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:30 PM) :

You know that in the Netherlands we bike more than anywhere in the world..? :)makes you think..

Blogger Laura Blumenberg said ... (12:39 PM) :

Shazam! Great gams, Batman!
Seriously, though. I need a bike.

Blogger Peter said ... (12:55 PM) :

The way her feet are on tiptoe just makes the pose seem so much more elegant...and her skin tone is amazing.
The woman in the background looks like she has scary legs!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:02 PM) :

she's got legs all the way up to her hips! oh for a couple of other angle shots.

Blogger winter's mama said ... (1:05 PM) :

Her feet look impossibly small. I am chartreuse with envy. Thank You for this beautiful photo!

Blogger Chris Wolfgang said ... (1:09 PM) :

i love how her practical flat is coming off just a bit. so casual and unaffected and sexy.

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (1:13 PM) :

I bike all the time, 20 miles each time. It gives you great legs.

Anonymous Mabel and Zora said ... (1:22 PM) :

We love to bike to the shop.

Blogger rebecca said ... (1:23 PM) :

i ALWAYS love the bike pics. and this is one of the best. but i hate that no one is ever wearing a helmet! not so fashionable i know, but be safe!

Blogger nemee said ... (1:28 PM) :

pretty outfit and gorgeous legs ,

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:55 PM) :

Love it! I want to get a bike now.

Blogger Marie said ... (1:56 PM) :

Anonymous Samantha said ... (2:13 PM) :

Isn't she just gorgeous?

Blogger Kathleen said ... (2:13 PM) :

Great photograph. I love to see people biking down the streets of NYC. She looks great, even matches her bike.
How come New Yorkers always seem to match even their bikes? I think it comes down to a fashion thing. One of the other readers mentioned winter, yes she is wearing transitional colors. I think everyone is kind of pushing it this year. The styles are so fun for fall, nobody wants to wait!

Anonymous rabii ben said ... (2:14 PM) :

I so ... wanna marry her lol
Priceless girl and pic.

Thanx scott

Anonymous Morgan said ... (2:17 PM) :

My boyfriend's sister leads spin classes everyday and she has amazing legs, so it's definitely the biking!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:32 PM) :

Gorgeous legs!!!!! That's a total understatement. You need to find this woman and get more pictures of her.

The woman in the background would not be bad, either.

Blogger Zuzia said ... (2:48 PM) :

great picture!
but it's really awful feeling when your ballerina shoes are falling off your feet during riding on bicycle...

Blogger Ro said ... (2:56 PM) :

beautiful legs!
i'm sure next time someone ask me what i want as a bday present im gonna tell them a beautiful bike!

Blogger Star said ... (2:58 PM) :

Everything seems just perfect. She looks stylish and comfortable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:03 PM) :

She´s drop dead gorgeous.

Anonymous rachel said ... (3:03 PM) :

this photo makes me appreciate my own shapely legs a little bit more.

Blogger Cin said ... (3:04 PM) :

ok I'm going to the gym like NOW! cycling classes!

Blogger Lasana said ... (3:22 PM) :

Her legs do look very fit and smooth.

Blogger 82Brute said ... (3:38 PM) :

Great shot. Methinks in this case biking is better for your eyes than her legs. She's blessed with great genes overall. (And where are the complainers on this one? Look! She's not wearing a helmet! Call the helmet police!)

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:03 PM) :

I love these comments! I live in Paris and my then boyfriend loved the women, who also ride their bikes with skirts, so much that he wrote tribute song to them, called "Une fille à bicyclette." It's in french but at the end he cries, Merci, Merci Bertrand to the Mayor of Paris, Mayor Bertrand Delanoe!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:12 PM) :

There is something irresistibly sexy about women on bikes. It's such an appealing mixture of elegance and sensuality. As childish and innocent as they first look yet they're such an artistic expression of the tensioned muscles describing round shapes.

Blogger the Stains of Fashion said ... (4:15 PM) :

you said it..

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:28 PM) :

love this! makes you wonder why stick skinny models are considered beautiful

Anonymous m.edwin said ... (4:29 PM) :

WOW. agreed.

Blogger Bigio said ... (4:31 PM) :

She looks fantastic!

Blogger Manuela said ... (4:35 PM) :

Is not wearing a helmet a NYC thing?

It seems all the Sartorialist pics of cyclists are sans helmet. That's not how we roll in Seattle! Too many hills... ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:57 PM) :

With legs like that no one cares what you're wearing!

Great (photo) catch!

Blogger R said ... (5:10 PM) :

Great bike, great legs, great city...

Blogger Izzen said ... (5:28 PM) :

Anonymous John Wesley said ... (5:43 PM) :

The perfect model for a Petty illustration!

Anonymous TaylorG said ... (5:46 PM) :

I absolutely love her "cuteness"! Something I think a lot of women overlook, but is amazingly attractive.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:31 PM) :

She'd probably be a wonderful dancer, if she's not one already. She's got great "point" as they say in the ballet world. Perfect tan, not too dark, sensually muscular, smooth, amazing. It's great that we can all go gaga over this, even in a world over-saturated with porn.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:33 PM) :

Phew! There's nothing to beat cycling for firming up the calves.
As for the babe in the background . . . her legs are cabriole. Bit of a nut-crusher, I suspect.
Give me the girl on the bike any day!

Anonymous JuleP said ... (7:46 PM) :

Time to get my bike out and ditch the car!

Anonymous STMag said ... (7:47 PM) :

Great legs! Wonder if I can still ride a bike lol.

Anonymous TheEnd said ... (7:48 PM) :

Some people are so lucky. I bet she never rides her bike normally!

Anonymous IXBD said ... (7:49 PM) :

Great pair!

Blogger TheHypeAround... said ... (7:58 PM) :

Yes! She has such sexy legs! And I agree with the first poster that you shouldn't taken a pitcure of the girl in the background too.
Gotta love NYC!

Blogger Sophitia.Kaze said ... (8:14 PM) :

I love what everyone said about her, and the bag too O.O!
She's ready to get out of that bike and have a date <3.

Blogger Jennifer said ... (8:22 PM) :

I love seeing photos of all these stylish women and men riding bikes, but wish desperately that they would all wear helmets! Sure, they may not look cool (though some companies are trying to fix that) and probably will mess up your hair, but wouldn't it be nice to drastically reduce your risk of brain damage or possibly even death? C'mon, you're riding in NYC, with the craziest drivers around. Give yourself a fighting chance to survive a bicycle-vehicle accident!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:24 PM) :

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blogger elizabeth said ... (9:14 PM) :

beautiful shot.
love the bike, best way to get around the city...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:21 PM) :

she looks amazing!!!!
but i really dont like the way her shoe is hanging in the air

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 PM) :

A miniskirt on a bike? Her bravery is admirable.

Blogger said ... (10:20 PM) :

I like her simple style and even the arch of her foot is sexy...

Blogger Fashionlass said ... (10:29 PM) :

What a fantastic photo!
And leg.
A bit of jealousy is bubbling....

Anonymous James said ... (11:11 PM) :

Glad she's not wearing a helmet -- they look silly and they're mostly pointless. No one wears them in most other countries in the world.

They're not all that. Really. If you want to learn more, check out

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 PM) :

but i am just curious - how do you bike wearing short skirt like this?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 PM) :

thanks for the post!

i happened to have legs like hers and always complain i have big calves. now i see people actually appreciate that :)

Blogger style-haus said ... (12:20 AM) :

great shot! what's impressive is she's wearing a mini skirt!!

Anonymous Fiona said ... (12:59 AM) :

Yes biking is very good for the legs! Beautiful composition i agree.

Anonymous Olga R. said ... (2:18 AM) :

If you ever start selling posters with your photography, I would buy this to hang in my living room.

Anonymous My Peace And Love Jewelry said ... (3:56 AM) :

Ummm, yea. Her legs are fantastic! Good for her:)

Blogger Nathan Bliemert said ... (5:36 AM) :

She is gorgeous!!!

Anonymous Lee Oliveira said ... (5:39 AM) :

Great photo..
loving her body language on the bike.. looking very powerful. (although she is on a bike.. but still)

Blogger MELISSA Z. said ... (5:43 AM) :

Great pic! Love the detail of the foot out of its flat! amazing!

Blogger TheStreetFashion5xpro said ... (6:22 AM) :

which naturally into this picture ... you are great

Blogger M O Z A said ... (7:07 AM) :

wonderful, but biking i NYC is somehow scary

Anonymous Blaise said ... (7:13 AM) :

I wish I knew how to bike... sigh!

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (7:17 AM) :

The legs, the bike, the ways she is dressed...a great example of why showing less is sexier than showing a lot! Oh, my wife just saw the photo and I might have just lost her to this girl lol!

Blogger Leslie said ... (8:05 AM) :

Since this is the summer of BP's oil spill, I vote that this photo be splashed on billboards, tvs, movie theatre screens, etc. across the U.S. to get more folks on bikes. (As anyone who rides one to work in a skirt knows, you get treated like a freak for doing it.)Bravo, Scott!

Blogger Λopah said ... (8:12 AM) :

Love this picture !

Anonymous Laurent said ... (9:43 AM) :

To Anon. regarding her big wife is former Ford model, with strong, athletic-dancer muscular legs like this woman, its all about proportion, skinny model legs or well-muscled. These are leg-model legs and HOT!!!!!!!If you got 'em flaunt them!

Blogger Miss Hothouse Orchid said ... (9:44 AM) :

Soo True. Because of biking, I have so much more confidence when sporting my short shorts!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 AM) :

Biking won't make your legs any more muscular. This woman probably does a lot of heavy squats at the gym, and more people (men and women) should!

Anonymous Miss HK said ... (12:27 PM) :

I was just looking at this blog, which i do almost every day, and a friend of mine walked by and said "hey nice photo, who took it?" assuming it was me in the photo (same legs and hair, he said)

and after that, and reading all of the comments i felt really, really flattered. i've always felt very insecure about my body and muscular legs, even though men always liked them very much. this is like a reality-mirror for me.

Thank you so much for posting this!

Blogger Lucas Jones said ... (2:00 PM) :

yowser! perfecto!

Blogger murnanator said ... (3:29 PM) :

This definitely makes me want to get a bike! Her legs are incredible.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:14 PM) :

Wop Wop Nice legs !!!
-diary of a fashion stylist-

Anonymous Laurent said ... (5:11 PM) :

By the way -Miss HK- Guy at work saw this photo, your comment and my message to you and agrees, "any woman with legs like that should be happy, isn't that why the stairmaster was invented? I just want to squeeze them!" 'nuff said, and said well.Be Happy.

Anonymous jism said ... (5:14 PM) :

More legs please!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:08 PM) :

The arch in her foot is the sexiest thing I've ever seen...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:50 AM) :

youth is good for your legs

Anonymous Annelie said ... (5:08 AM) :

Amazing legs!!! makes wanna go to the gym more!!

Anonymous Huub Koch said ... (5:15 AM) :

Looked and thought: these legs were already great before biking! After reading the comment from leg-owner Miss HK I believe that thought was right.

Blogger Wood Duck said ... (6:09 AM) :

I wish Sydney wasn't so hilly so I could ride my bike more. I miss European flat cities and biking everywhere.

Blogger Eilish said ... (7:48 AM) :

oh, how i love bicycles.. they add so much to any outfit :)

Blogger Miss Oliver said ... (8:29 AM) :

She's like an athletic, fashionable gal from a 1940's advert! Lovely!

Blogger NN said ... (10:08 AM) :

Gorgeous legs, but she is so going to end up losing those shoes on this journey...

Blogger chuck said ... (10:38 AM) :

Now that is sexy. We need more of these healthy images of physical beauty embedded in people's minds.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:45 PM) :

i love this photo, so cool, caught in a moment

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 PM) :

nice to see 'bigger' calves considered use to seeing only pins praised!

Blogger Optimus Prime said ... (2:58 PM) :

legggs. love it

Anonymous petit_smudge said ... (6:31 PM) :

I rode my bike 5 miles to work today after seeing this picture. I always am insecure about my "big legs" but this girl shows how sexy toned, muscular legs can be.

and in response to an earlier comment, i think that biking CAN give you legs like that... you just have to bike everywhere, all the time.

Blogger rach said ... (7:28 PM) :

so totally jealous of her legs, cute shot

Anonymous CHICAGO STYLE SCENE said ... (10:41 PM) :

This is, by far, my favorite picture of all time on the Sartorialist. Sublime. On my blog I captured an incredible looking woman on a bicycle stopped at an intersection, but this is phenomenal.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:39 AM) :

This is also why biking is good for my heart!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:54 AM) :

gosh. i have legs like this. i thought they were chunky. maybe i should wear short skirts while riding my bike, too. lovely colour hair and legs.

Anonymous Jude said ... (5:44 AM) :

That is why I love bikes

Blogger Jazzbuff630 said ... (8:14 AM) :

Yum. I'm coming back as a bike.

Blogger The Wild Fairy said ... (12:06 PM) :

Oh my! I have leg envy!

Anonymous Sarah said ... (11:06 PM) :

I love bike pics and this one is no exception BUT even though helmets are bot that stylish it bothers me that no one in these bikey pics is ever wearing one. Here's my challenge: can you find someone on a bike IN a helmet who looks great? I've seen some bikers in equestrienne helmets and that was pretty cool...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 AM) :

nice capture

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:55 AM) :

She needs to be careful... might cause a few car accidents :P

Anonymous Michelyah said ... (9:30 AM) :

Blogger Megan said ... (7:11 PM) :

lovely legs, amazing hair, cute purse! I love this overall!

Blogger hollarback said ... (7:25 PM) :

Well, someone knows that she has great legs ;)

Though this does make me miss old NY/downtown where only the bike messengers and chinese food delivery bikes were brave enough to pedal around town. The city is too soft and gentrified. She looks suburban.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:16 PM) :

She's one of the many reasons that I ride my bike everywhere!

Anonymous Libido said ... (1:14 AM) :

I love Summer fashions. Beautiful legs shown by beautiful ladies.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:07 AM) :

Yea! Strong and sexy! Reading comments from readers who thought their own strong legs were "big" or "chunky" makes me sad, though... honestly, how could powerful, well-defined, well-proportioned, sculpted muscles be seen as anything but beautiful?

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:19 AM) :

such good looking legs! preeeeeeetty woman!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

I didn't realize how much one beautiful photo (and reading people's comments on it) could so drastically boost my self-confidence. I have legs like this woman and always envied those girls with skinny legs...I guess I needed to see them on someone else to realize they're beautiful and strong!!

I want to hang this picture in my room.

Anonymous GMagi said ... (7:22 AM) :

Biking about 15 kms (also uphill) in Budapest, now for more than 4 months every day, I can tell you, it does change muscle tone. When I rode just once in a while, there was no change, doing it regularly, it made a big difference.

Great picture though, I totally agree.

I also love guys on bikes, those great calves standing up on their bikes.

Blogger youniform said ... (10:37 AM) :

this is why I hate living in Amsterdam... =) all the girls have fantastic legs.... =)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

her hair shines lovely, like the bike

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:07 PM) :

It's heaven in a frame. Un-be-lie-va-bly great picture. Could be an ad for the shoes, the bike, the skirt, the purse, New York or just the divinity of women.

Blogger Jeannine said ... (3:33 AM) :

Perfect shape indeed, very retro pin-up. She could go on the side of a WW2 fighter plane exactly as she is in the picture. Nice to see a woman not looking like she's made of broomsticks in a fashion picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:30 PM) :

Where is her helmet? Nothing looks worse than a city cyclist riding without one? Great legs won't save your ass in a crash......

Blogger Olivia said ... (4:37 PM) :

I want those legs!!...and I also love the Zadig & Voltaire store in the back ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:46 PM) :

She is gorgeous and her legs look athletic, but I'm pretty sure her legs aren't as "big" as everyone is suggesting. Don't foreget, photos make a people look heavier than they really are, so in real life I'm pretty sure her legs are quite slender. I love her hair.

Blogger Raquel Ferreiro said ... (7:23 AM) :

Blogger Javi said ... (12:56 AM) :

nice picture, I absolutely love cycling!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 PM) :

And now I feel guilty that my bike is rotting away in my basement.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:32 PM) :

I guess I am getting old. I keep worrying that she is going to lose that shoe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:49 PM) :

Best. Legs. Ever. Great photo, and it's definitely encouraging me to get on my bike tonight.

Blogger Henri Loves Paris... said ... (9:42 AM) :

Beautiful capture...:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:47 PM) :

Those legs definitely aren't "big" as everyone keeps saying. They are muscular, yes, but she has a teeny frame.
Gorgeous pic though.

Blogger bestsexymodel said ... (3:34 AM) :

sexy legs, i love too....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:02 PM) :

I never got the whole superskinny leg-thing. Legs like that just looks like they're gonna snap any minute. These legs however... Doing pointe work does the trick too;)

Anonymous Cesare Marin said ... (8:58 PM) :

Love the composition... and the awesome legs... that capture most of the attention, keeping us from enjoying the simplicity of the combination of basic colours.
