These days when people are wearing all sorts of foolishness, this is a testament to how well classics (albeit updated ones) endure.

She is fantastic!

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (6:53 PM) :

Great blazer. Navy with gold buttons = LOVE! xo

Blogger A. said ... (6:53 PM) :

This is a testament to simplicity. I'm bookmarking this and referring to it whenever I get tempted into the bells and whistles of over-trendiness.

Blogger Briana Le & Merissa Ren said ... (7:25 PM) :

I love that the action in this photograph is in her face. Even though her pose is static and sharp there is movement in her imagined laugh. So so beautiful.

she looks perfect

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:41 PM) :

sometimes everything is just as simple as that ...

Blogger Brenda S said ... (7:44 PM) :

Such a clean classy look. I need to invest in a blazer like this, its just something everyone should have in their closet.

Blogger Mr Brown said ... (7:51 PM) :

Sleeve length is proper.

Plays up figure & height.

And then a set of naval buttons get lobbed in too.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (7:52 PM) :

Good look, but I would like to see a better looking pair of jeans (here we go again with the jeans) with such a lovely jacket and top. Her entire self-presentation is perfection, too bad about the beat-up jeans, they distract.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:54 PM) :

love her blazer!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:55 PM) :

beautiful !
love her smile.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:57 PM) :

Wow. Love the blazer paired with jeans. The buttons are great!

Blogger Nadine2point0 said ... (8:02 PM) :

Beautiful! Love this photo.
I just changed the buttons on a blazer I have - so EASY. It's also easy to cover a tee and denim with a great blazer and have a look that's awesome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:02 PM) :

She looks great. Nothing's better than simple and classic.

Anonymous Yasamin said ... (8:06 PM) :

This is my favorite. This is a uniform I can get down with.

Blogger Maddie B. said ... (8:11 PM) :

This is what is simultaneously perfectly casual and chic. The jeans and loose t-shirt evoke effortlessness and the jacket brings construction.

Anonymous Em said ... (8:11 PM) :

The cut of that blazer is Perfect. She looks effortless.

Blogger Elisa said ... (8:14 PM) :

Great simple and chic outfit!

Blogger Becca Dudley said ... (8:14 PM) :

Blogger Ripped Jeans said ... (8:18 PM) :

OH i love that whole outfit, its so comfy, simple, and casual but it just works! and only the fabulous can make that happen

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:18 PM) :

Wow, can't believe I'm the first to leave a comment! I'm a loyal reader of your blog but have never commented before. I just enjoy coming here for the visual inspiration (and I don't mean just for fashion). You have such a sharp eye for aesthetics.

I love Emmanuelle's breezy, effortless style. Love the navy blazer with gold buttons worn with cazh jeans & a beat-up tee.

I love your blog! Please keep up the great job.

Anonymous Ryan Christopher said ... (8:20 PM) :

For me the buttons are too large and misplaced and I don't like the front of the t-shirt tucked in however, I love the idea of the look.

Anonymous Oonagh said ... (8:20 PM) :

Great jacket.

Anonymous Cecylia said ... (8:22 PM) :

She always wear jackets all the time!

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:46 PM) :

i love the simplicity yet elegance of this look.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:46 PM) :

my love for this outfit is mainly derived from the fact that it is actually the androgyny of the ensemble that accentuates femininity in her overall appearance. also, the tucked in shirt, hand-in-pocket and waist of the jacket are just too hip!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:55 PM) :

Do you ask you subjects if you can take their picture or do you just take it?

Blogger Penny Collins said ... (8:59 PM) :

I want that jacket

digging the mix of the dressy sport coat & the casual jeans

Blogger Klever Girl said ... (10:21 PM) :

The look on her face reflects how comfortable this look is. Sometimes I wonder why we (women) like to complicate our lives so much with all these added accessories....

She's a beautiful woman, full of confidence.

Anonymous Sally said ... (11:29 PM) :

Wow. Really stunning and natural. So classic too.

Blogger MOD PAUL said ... (11:32 PM) :

Simple easy and understated very restrained. I would wear this but only with a mens blazer. Nice to see somone wearing an outfit not the outfit wearing them. Well done Lass...

Blogger mistermidwester said ... (11:36 PM) :

Gold buttons on blue blazers often drive me nuts, but she is rocking it hard. Beautiful and simple.

Anonymous Dan said ... (11:47 PM) :

Great jacket...reminds me of an old German military issue (long) coat I once had...appreciate the shape/silhouette and the buttons...the pairing with the faded jeans is great too

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:49 PM) :

This picture is pure harmony to me - relaxed, easy cool clothes that may not be totally 'what's now', but shows that innate style is always 'IN'.

Perfect little blazer.

I want to get one for spring. I think I shall get a slightly looser, slightly bigger one. Still, love hers. Gorgeous shape.

Anonymous princess glee said ... (2:27 PM) :

Doesn't make you sick something so simple can look so good ? And of course, it never does on me !

Nice the buttons too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:37 PM) :

I think the jacket could be by BALMAIN RTW Fall 2010, as seen in the catwalk just now! Lucky her!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:18 PM) :

Has any one else noticed that Ms Alt has earned every fade and whisker in her jeans? maybe I'm wrong, but These aren't the fake pre-distressed junk so common in stores. I would love to have jeans like those. They have become a part of her.

Blogger Mina said ... (3:25 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:08 PM) :

she just look like the most awesome person all the time

Blogger SequinsandBangles said ... (6:09 PM) :

I dunno why I love this picture so much. Maybe it's the simplicity of the outfit, maybe it's the gold buttons on the blazer or maybe it's the girl and how you have caught her personality in a flash...literally!

Blogger E said ... (6:12 PM) :

love the blazer!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:16 PM) :

I disagree with Robert. She is different. It is about the details, the quality and the charme.

Is the jacket RTW Balmain '10?

That Balmain jacket is awesome...

Blogger marcel said ... (6:33 PM) :

i need to find the perfect blue jeans...

Anonymous alabdin said ... (9:51 PM) :

I contrast Emanuelle's look with Giovanna's... Casual chic vs. feminine elegance. I like both looks and I mostly dress like Emanuelle but I have to say Giovanna's style is so graceful and chic.

The black leather belt with the jeans is sort of masculine, I think...

I love the jacket, the cuffs, and the tucked tee shirt.

Anonymous Mary said ... (2:33 AM) :

Like the T-shirt. Don't like the jacket at all - it's bus ticket-controller-like

Blogger Insolent Adolescence said ... (7:30 AM) :

Buttons give it a more actual&feminine touch.

Blogger Chris said ... (8:18 AM) :

Blogger C. said ... (9:14 AM) :
