The scarf is a nice touch. She looks like the model Hana Soukupova.

Anonymous Elise said ... (11:43 AM) :

she manages to keep it simple and at the same time you get a glimpse of who she is. Very 'satorialistic'!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:43 AM) :

I lovelove her bag, scarf and shoes!!

Blogger The Voguette said ... (11:54 AM) :

i absolutely love her hair, and the zipper detail on her slouchy bag is great!

Blogger moreskinnydays said ... (11:57 AM) :

I love this! She looks realistic, comfortable, yet glamorous. I like that she's as happy with her choice as we are, not all sulky tortured artist-like.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:57 AM) :

what a great outfit!
i wish that we could have such school buses here ^^

Blogger gbelford said ... (12:02 PM) :

She is absolutely gorgeous, and well dressed to boot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:07 PM) :

too chesty for that much scarf.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:16 PM) :

I have to dissent on this one. She's a beautiful girl and the hair is lovely. But this is silly - I mean, every second girl is wearing almost the same outfit. Only in this lazy age would people be raving about a girl in a t-shirt, skinny jeans (that are IMHO way too tight), and a parka topped with the same fake fur that lands on pretty much every parka, and that by coincidence matches her hair. I mean, c'mon. the photo, on the other hand, with the multiple school buses in genius.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:35 PM) :

I had a slight Phoebe Cates moment looking at that girl out of the pool....

Blogger ingefaer said ... (12:39 PM) :

A great, great photo - and a beautiful girl. I am pretty sure she could wear anything and look lovely. Not much to say about this outfit except it looks comfortable.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:50 PM) :

Boring,boring ,boring.
This look has been done to death.
All over the world.
This look is really very ´banlieu´.
The less affluent the suburb the tighter the tights......
At least she has got the body to pull it off.
Most don´t .

Blogger Alina said ... (12:52 PM) :

the hair looks fantastic!

Blogger Aurore said ... (12:53 PM) :

love her shoes !

Blogger Antonio Barros said ... (1:02 PM) :

Great pic! She is gorgeous!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:13 PM) :

Half the female population in Sweden dresses just like this. Next please.

Anonymous Indie Mom and the Reluctant Banker said ... (1:16 PM) :

A very nice, simple look. I really like her shoes.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:20 PM) :

Love everything about this look. Functional and fashionable

Blogger InStudio Blog said ... (1:24 PM) :

I instantly thought of Maggie Mae (from Rod Stewart's song).

Blogger Big City Nights said ... (1:27 PM) :

Shots like these make me happy that Fall is still here.

Blogger Kristina said ... (1:27 PM) :

Uninteresting! The selling point here is the face and the hair. She looks like a young Nicole Kidman. The rest... snooze.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:34 PM) :

The shoes get two thumbs up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:35 PM) :

A fur-lined hood? I agree--dressed like every other unfashionable young woman from the year 2000.

Anonymous coolvisionaire said ... (1:35 PM) :

Nice shoes and coat...

Blogger norawoah said ... (1:51 PM) :

oh she is how I dress, how I choose shoes, how I braid my hair. I want to be her friend so we can share clothes. I feel we would get on really well.
not trying to be a creeper..

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:00 PM) :

That's a beautiful photo of a gorgeous girl (and in my fabulous neighborhood) but I have to admit, other than admiring her hair, I wouldn't notice her if I passed her on the street. As someone mentioned above, the leggings/parka/boots combination is pretty much a uniform down here.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:04 PM) :

great proportions, great style, love the shot, colors fantastic together. love how it's not matchy and meshes. she's goooooood

Blogger VerseaStyle said ... (2:05 PM) :

Too cute! I want those boots :) oh and the purse, t-shirt... ha ha

Blogger CW said ... (2:20 PM) :

Back to the 80's. Tights are back for women.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:25 PM) :

a beauty
undescribably gorgeous
Just such attractive face, body, hair, look, and style

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:21 PM) :

This is a beautiful picture with the fall foliage, the yellow buses, and the girl herself with her golden hair and braid. Too bad her outfit is so boring.

Blogger the style spotter said ... (3:25 PM) :

adorable outfit!! love this shot

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 PM) :

To the one who asked about the parka: it's from A.P.C.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 PM) :

Her prada bag is gorgeous!

Blogger The Sartorialist said ... (3:47 PM) :

what about the shoes!

Anonymous darlene said ... (3:48 PM) :

Gorgeous photo! In a way it's a good thing her outfit is so unremarkable. It leaves you free to notice the girl and her beautiful hair so much more.

Blogger Lisa Peterson said ... (3:58 PM) :

great look. is she from the carolina herrera show? she looks familiar, and dresses like a model...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:02 PM) :

i'm not sure i like this's too casual for me and not very "unique"
this is basically how the girls at my school dress, minus those amazing shoes.

Blogger Anastasia said ... (4:13 PM) :

aint she lovely - she looks princess like but a little rough around the edges!

Blogger Klara said ... (4:13 PM) :

so good

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:19 PM) :

This is my first time commenting here, but I'm a long-time follower.

This shot illustrates what is so unique about the photographer - not the model. I agree, that altho she's attractive, her ensemble doesn't necessarily stand out. It's nice enough, which isn't so bad.

But what makes this shot is the shot itself - semi-shallow depth of field, good color composition. this is great photography - making the banal into something more...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:30 PM) :

I immediately gravited toward the shoes.

The jacket i am not a fan of...

Blogger The Blasphemous Fiendess said ... (4:35 PM) :

She is beautiful in a very safe outfit. Nothing wrong with that.

Blogger de said ... (4:35 PM) :

and THIS is why I love NYC.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (4:43 PM) :

Those shoes! Love' em!

Blogger Jo said ... (4:45 PM) :

All I am seeing is that adorable braid in her hair.

Anonymous Kristin said ... (5:53 PM) :

Beautiful, fresh, lovely hair, cute polka dots, great scarf!

Anonymous Cecylia said ... (5:53 PM) :

Blogger Blogging Masterclass said ... (6:50 PM) :

She looks very northern European. Lovely.

Blogger kahartland said ... (7:34 PM) :

shes definately rocking those tight-ass jeans! (which i can only admire) and i love the shoes

Anonymous Sara Lua said ... (8:03 PM) :

She's already wearing the Moon and Mars air buckle boots!

Who is she?

Lucky shot, against a NYC brick-lined fall.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:51 PM) :

Although your comment may be true; it comes across rather "holier than tho" if you know something "REAL" about this shot that everyone else is missing out on.

WHAT YOU FAIL to acknowledge or perhaps understand, this blog is called, why would people not comment on the outfit?

Anonymous Lucinha said ... (9:20 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:27 PM) :

so chic!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:07 PM) :

Don't like it! There is nothing interesting about it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 PM) :

This girl is absolutely gorgeous. But I have to agree with the others who find the look over done. I noticed a comment that stated half the girls in Sweden dress like this, and I would say that Half the girls in Copenhagen looked this way 3 years ago.

Blogger Cookie Cutter said ... (10:54 PM) :

Love the hair! And the polka dots top goes so well with that sweet scarf of hers.

Anonymous Sean said ... (10:56 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 PM) :

beautiful girl victimized by booth the mandatory scarf swoop and the Somerset Maugham shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:51 AM) :

What I love is that this is so achievable, and yet she looks beautiful. Of course, her gorgeous face has something to do with it.

Comparing to the other shots found on this blog of (I would say, impractical) women trotting along NYC in sky-scraping heels and louboutins, this pic is a really great breath of fresh air.

Thanks Sart for covering a range of looks.

Blogger Amber said ... (2:36 AM) :

Love the bag. Anyone know who makes it?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 AM) :

Nice look and beautiful background!!

Responding to "me", the model of the prada bag is WashedBag PradaBR3884. Is a kind of limited edition. In Europe you can find it. Actually I do have the same that I bought in Milan 2 months ago.
The leather is very good. And the bag looks gorgeous!
Good luck!

The simple neutral layers combine well with sleek, slim black legged trousers and the muted grey and brown accessories. A simple look to pull off. High street and easily to copy with a little bit of prior study
