THE perfect jacket for men!

Blogger Marcus said ... (9:21 AM) :

this jacket is awesome... does anybody know the designer? I like the beard and the cigarette as well. It completes the look very well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:24 AM) :

cool jacket!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:27 AM) :

Only 1 pic in Barcelona and four in Madrid? oh my God!!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:27 AM) :

Jacket looks awesome and I like that he smokes as we never see that anymore these days. I know it is going to sound mean but I don't care: I live in Paris and most parisian men look unclean to me.

Anonymous Jacques said ... (9:35 AM) :

Clothes and haircut are brilliant, but the beard is in dire need of trimming at the borders!!!!

Blogger Melissa said ... (9:35 AM) :

i love the jacket too!

Blogger Alice D. Millionaire said ... (9:35 AM) :

i lovelovelove this man, jacket and photo.

Blogger ana said ... (9:42 AM) :

Great look!!! I love the Jacket too... and his haircut :)

Blogger gamze said ... (9:46 AM) :

what a cool jacket!

Blogger Beth said ... (9:46 AM) :

SO sexy!

Blogger Maria José said ... (9:49 AM) :

the jacket is gorgeous!
I couldn't go to madrid , but I hope you come back to go.

Blogger a reference said ... (9:52 AM) :

i love these jackets...only the french can wear them right though...

Blogger Ben said ... (9:54 AM) :

Really? The leather looks cheap and he looks as though he is trying too hard. For a Parisian I would have thought that either issue was a #fail. Or is that too harsh!

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (9:55 AM) :

the brown and blue like this are a match made in heaven

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 AM) :

I saw this photo in the current GQ. Glad you put it up here so we can see the details that much better!

I like the contrast between his scruffy beard and the crisp blue woven...and that jacket, yeah he knows its cool! :)

Blogger Maria Ana said ... (9:59 AM) :

That is such a creamy fabric. Gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

No. This cannot be rewarded. Men have to learn that they can't just roll out of bed, having not showered for a week, and land on a site dedicated to looking great. Not cool, Sart.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:05 AM) :

Love this!!! So sexy, so cool!

I have given up reading certain forums where young people post, insisting that once you're past a certain age, your clothing must be boring and conservative.

Although this gentlemen is FAR from "older" (whatever that means), he looks 1,000 times more hip and sophisticated than any kid in skin tight skinny jeans and a tee shirt!

Blogger VerseaStyle said ... (10:05 AM) :

I want this jacket for my hubby! So stylish..

Blogger Barbora said ... (10:08 AM) :

It;s amazing! And love the side pocket. So intriguing!

Blogger Antonio Barros said ... (10:08 AM) :

Amazing jacket!!!!

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (10:23 AM) :

Me too!!!! Great jacket, great photo and cool guy!!!!

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:34 AM) :

I want to buy that jacket for my best friend, its SO hot!

Blogger Bell said ... (10:36 AM) :

No, I dont like this jacket. The guy is not interesting

Blogger Ayşe Şakarcan said ... (10:44 AM) :

He looks so Parisien!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:46 AM) :

It is average at best...not average in a bad way: "just average." I don't think most people would look twice if they saw him on the street.

Yes, from the neck up, he looks disheveled, but my guess is he is the type that got this way with lots of grooming and precision in front of the mirror.

In regards to the person that said smoking is chic. Are you serious??? How does that look chic or cool in ANY way? I guess you have never been in the hospital watching someone close to you die of lung cancer.

In regards to dressing age approriately.... there is a fine line here, that can be crossed depending on the individual. I don't think anything should be set in stone. Period.

Blogger Eugenia210 said ... (10:57 AM) :

The jacket is so nice and I love the colour, but the boy is so untidy and extremely thin. He doesn´t look well in my opinion.

Anonymous andrew said ... (11:01 AM) :

love this jacket too

I'm with you, fat coiffured man!

Anonymous Runway Hippie said ... (11:09 AM) :

that jacket is awesome!!!! I'd love to know if or what he keeps in that buckle pocket!

Runway Hippie

Anonymous jeroen said ... (11:13 AM) :

I wouldn't mind a citical comment from time to time, it's all so positive, also when it shouldn't be like that, like now. I mean he's awfully skinny, too skinny for a jacket like that

Anonymous xris said ... (11:17 AM) :

A murinae wearing a camera case. Not for me. Get that guy a comb.

Back to deep sartorialism please.

Blogger Hilary Arthur said ... (11:19 AM) :

Love his nonchalance!

Blogger  said ... (11:19 AM) :

Great style, i love this jacket too, very nice as usual !
Thks to share Mônsieur

Blogger Hilary Arthur said ... (11:19 AM) :

I love his nonchalance!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 AM) :

just to nitpick-
lose the arm pocket and it's perfect

Blogger Thomas said ... (11:37 AM) :

LOVE this!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:37 AM) :

i love the jacket too!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:38 AM) :

saw this in GQ and loved it!
the fit of the jacket is divine.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:38 AM) :

I want the jacket for myself... love it!!!

Blogger Louis Duke Photography said ... (11:38 AM) :

I want this entire look

Blogger anne charlotte said ... (11:44 AM) :

he should probably marry that jacket. today.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:44 AM) :

I love this so much! I want that jacket for myself! :)

Blogger Aimée said ... (11:50 AM) :

Great jacket. Love his face and shades but.. he is really skinny!

Anonymous filippa said ... (11:56 AM) :

Stop judging.

Great shot,
wonderful wonderful jacket!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:58 AM) :

I'm sorry but no style should include such disheveled hair. It looks like it needs a wash and the boy needs a hot meal! Agree with above comment - leather looks like not the best quality.

Blogger beths said ... (12:03 PM) :

Love the jacket's fasteners (assymmetrical?) and pocket lining. Would like also to see how a huskier fellow wears the same thing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:20 PM) :

damn gud photo, stylish.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:28 PM) :

good take on the varsity jacket.

Anonymous Diva Hopeful said ... (12:37 PM) :

what a beautiful boy !
...and a beautiful jacket too.

Blogger Juan Manuel Trejo Sánchez said ... (12:37 PM) :

I feel his body goes in detriment of his style; he'd have it all rounded-up if he looked healthier.

You'd say this is his body constitution but you can tell it isn't because his hands and face doesn't match the rest of it.

Isn't it part of having style making all match you own nature rather than trying to match a different one?

I'm being judgmental but not over this guy, the picture itself just made me think about that.

God gave us a body type, we have to dress it; not have our bodies dress the clothes.

Well, that's what I think.

Anonymous Zoi said ... (12:39 PM) :

gah. i swear i just had a tiny orgasm looking at this. :D lol!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:39 PM) :

Love this jacket too!

Anonymous Libby K said ... (12:45 PM) :

I don't particularly like the jacket, but it seems made just for him. Who else would be long and skinny enough for it, and at the same time, who else would need the arm pocket for his cigarettes?

Anonymous Carolyn said ... (12:50 PM) :

wow love that color. must find a jacket like that for my bf.. so I can wear it all the time ;)

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:50 PM) :

That jacket looks like luggage and I want it.

Blogger green lantern said ... (1:10 PM) :

I am with you SART. Usually, I love the buttery soft light-weight, simplistic bomber type or the heavier tech/functional type. This jacket falls so elegantly somewhere in between. Sweet!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:17 PM) :

This is a case where man makes the clothes rather than the other way around. All that jacket detail on someone less tubular would be way too much. What would you call that color leather? It reminds me of 70s-vintage jackets, and it goes so well with the blue.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:20 PM) :

Love the color and cut of the jacket! The pale blue peeking out makes a beautiful contrast to the color of his jacket....but his hair looks like he just rolled out of bed. Still, he's hot!

Anonymous Iria said ... (2:11 PM) :

One of the coolest male pics I've seen.

Blogger jewlover2 said ... (2:15 PM) :

Wow...great jacket. Can't help but see it w/ better hair though. Something elegant and suave...ah well.

Blogger jewlover2 said ... (2:16 PM) :

I would love to see this jacket w/ a suave and sleek haircut. Sigh.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:30 PM) :

wow!! The man of my dreams!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:41 PM) :

Such a cool jacket!

Blogger Lu said ... (2:48 PM) :

yeah, I do to, lovely jacket. as well as the man that wears it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 PM) :

Sorry Sart, but the jacket looks just cheap, someone said cameracase, and thats exactly the association i had.
only thing I like is the crisp shirt, and the lining of the pockets, but even this is sticking out on one side.

I think if you would not have marked the jacked as great, many others would not have thought it as nice either.

Blogger Bel said ... (2:59 PM) :

No wonder you love it!!!

Blogger Alex said ... (3:20 PM) :

That jacket is perfection! I'd offer to buy it from him, right off of his back.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:09 PM) :

Is the grunge look back in style?

Blogger Emily said ... (4:10 PM) :

Wow! Everyone should own that jacket!!! The color is stunning and the shape is fantastic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:40 PM) :

How about a comb, a trim and a sandwich?
As to the jacket, I like the buttons and that's it.
I too suspect that this a case of "The Emperor's New Clothes", you say you like it and everyone else does too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:46 PM) :

Nice jacket indeed! The pocket on arm is lovely!

Blogger Pj said ... (4:54 PM) :

Yeah, that jacket is pretty cool .

Blogger Lolitta said ... (4:57 PM) :

I want the jacket for my self!

Blogger Sarah said ... (5:06 PM) :

This leather jacket is divine, and the picture's great, love the European flair to this !

Blogger F (The Very Subjective) said ... (5:11 PM) :

Totally love this jacket! (& his hair, too)

Blogger Plus Belle Ma Vie said ... (5:11 PM) :

Love it too !!!

Blogger Tristan said ... (5:12 PM) :

you know what, this looks exactly like a really nice duffel bag converted into a jacket. and i mean that in the nicest way possible. the clasps, the pockets...

Anonymous catiicp said ... (5:13 PM) :

the jacket is crazy!! i love it!

Anonymous davies said ... (5:16 PM) :

This guy looks incredible and I can't work out quite why - I think it is because he's is comfortable in his look and these particular clothes. Whatever it is, he's rocking it!

Anonymous davidsl said ... (5:46 PM) :

the jacket looks like vinyl. the guy looks ill. the cig is nasty. what's "cool" about this look?

Blogger omarkhayam said ... (5:50 PM) : so in love tooo. look at the brown with his belt.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (6:37 PM) :

That is one jaw-droppingly gorgeous jacket! The pocket, the leather, the buttons - amazing!!!

Anonymous Bre Renne said ... (7:10 PM) :

I want him to be my boyfriend :-).

Blogger arp journal officiel said ... (9:09 PM) :

love this look & the colors, very casual yet stylish...i usually like simpler jackets, so i could do without the slv pocket.

Blogger J Blanka said ... (12:22 AM) :

Looks like Thom Yorke.

Blogger Paige said ... (12:59 AM) :

Hell yes!

Blogger Ada said ... (2:46 AM) :

the lining on the pocket...! I don't know how you got a picture of my future husband, but as soon a we meet it's a done deal! ... I do wish I could take a future wifely hand to the bear though... ::le sigh::

Blogger Nicha said ... (2:59 AM) :

I love the blue against the brown leather. It's so effortlessly chic. Great photo.

Blogger vintage peony said ... (3:12 AM) :

very cool!

Blogger V said ... (3:39 AM) :

Wow love the utilitarian trimmings and the sleeve-pocket - did you ask him where he got it?

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:27 AM) :

I want that jacket, please - how cool is that!!

Blogger Connie said ... (5:01 AM) :

Great style!

The Heartbreak

Anonymous Liliana said ... (5:58 AM) :

Nice jacket, and the guy who wears it is really attractive too! (un vrai parisien)...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:25 AM) :

what's the desiner of the jacket..???

Blogger Philippe said ... (9:07 AM) :

Pure style.. He looks great and I love that jacket/jean/shirt too...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 AM) :

I've looked through all the comments, but can't see anyone confirming who the jacket is by. Does anyone know?

Blogger Keith said ... (12:44 PM) :

He looks ultra cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:39 PM) :

Ah man, lose the pocket?! No way! That's what makes this coat amazingggg. AND LIKE, the lining of his pocket looks gold or metallic. No way, gorgeous coat. Yeah, sure he's skinny...but look at the cigarette. Duhr. Focus on the cut, the small qualities people. Love it. :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:54 PM) :

Forget about "rewarding" the just-outta-bed look (that's fine with me).

But do we still have to reward posing with a cigarette in 2009? I mean, really...

Blogger Lexi said ... (6:44 PM) :

Also looks vintage or reproduction perhaps...

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:31 PM) :

Love the whole look. For some reason, he reminds me of Jay Kay of Jamiroquai, sans hat, of course.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:12 AM) :

Stop judging.11:56 AM

LOL!!! Are you serious? Isn't the entire idea about expressing opinions? Do you agree that every single photo on this blog is always the epitome of either style or fashion excellence? You never disagree or have an independent thought? By agreeing that the jacket is wonderful, wonderful - you are judging or being led by the nose ring. Stop judging is an absurd comment to make on a blog based on opinion.

Anybody who thinks smoking is or looks cool should seek therapy.

I think the theory of the jacket is much better than the execution - it does look rather cheap. He is very skinny, not really healthy or groomed looking but the beauty of the free world is being able to disagree about what is hot.

There is a certain amount of charm - but I am not ready to drink the kool-aid.

Anonymous Scoob said ... (12:12 AM) :

Love the whole package -
the man, the jacket, and the cigarette!

The jacket fits his slender look like a glove. Sexy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:54 AM) :

Some of you saying things like "Get him a sandwich" etc are quite insensitive. Would you say if the picture featured an overweight person "Lose some weight fatty"... Come on, any guy skinny like this has high metabolism and has always been skinny no matter how much he eats he will remain skinny.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 AM) :

Do you have to take most of your pics in front of Colette? Why not check out some other arrondissments? They may be equally inspiring!

Anonymous central squared said ... (1:06 PM) :

The jacket is to die for. I can't believe we don't know who it's by yet...

Blogger J.Teheren said ... (2:01 PM) :

I have a similar jacket but the buckles here are aesthetically genius! I'm jealous. Brilliant shot!

Anonymous Forrest said ... (4:13 PM) :

Love the tone of this jacket. That, and the pocket on the arm, make this something I would totally wear around.

Anonymous CK Dexter Haven said ... (6:55 PM) :

Unclean. Unhealthy. Unfriendly.

What, again, was supposed to be the appeal? Ah, the jacket. Methinks if it were photographed on an H&M mannequin, there wouldn't be so much romantic speculation about it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:15 PM) :

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:27 AM) :

I love that smart

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:29 PM) :

Love the jacket,, where did he get that ?

Blogger Rosa creativa said ... (9:08 AM) :

sexy sexy sexy

Blogger HELI said ... (3:24 PM) :

Anonymous Brandon said ... (4:27 PM) :

I guess I'm NOT in love with this jacket. It kinds of reeks of high-falutin fashion.

Blogger ich said ... (5:48 PM) :

calculated easyness...great look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:11 AM) :

that jacket is soooo sick.

Blogger Ash said ... (6:20 PM) :

totally awesome.
thats some jacket to die for!

Blogger Frau Erdnussbutter said ... (11:36 AM) :

The perfect man for this jacket.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:41 PM) :

123 comments and still nobody has an idea where the jacket is from ???

Blogger iFlipyourmind said ... (12:51 PM) :

someone a link to the jacket a name something

Anonymous Kellye said ... (3:23 PM) :

I love this jacket, especially the buttons and the cigarette pocket on the arm, very steampunk. I'd kind of prefer it in a darker color, like sienna or black.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm into that scruffy waif-on-the-streetcorner look.

Anonymous melanei said ... (10:31 AM) :

I like how there's a detailed pocket on the sleeve. It doesn't look last minute detail.
