They look nice.
beautiful pic!shows real friendship...

Oh, that girl in those boots with the knee-highs! LOVE!
oh cool
http://www.facecritic.fr
This is everything that is great about France!
Open toed shoes with tights? How bold! I didn't know you could wear boots with knee high socks and a skirt like that either. Breaking all the rules!
I have not commented before, I just learned about this site this weekend. I absolutely in awe of your photography! Such wonderful characters you find, with such unique style. It is inspiring.
Geez Louise, those are some privileged bambini. Only in Paris. But they do look rather like they're dressing up in their parent's duds.
Very fun-looking photo!
Liking the leftmost boy's look in general, and especially his boots. I've never been a fan of bags like the Louis Vuitton the other boy is holding, neither for men nor for women, but at this point I have to hope he's holding it for one of the girls. If it's his it really ruins his look for me. Also, I quite like the center girl's look, except for the heels. Though I suppose she pulls them off in a way, I've just never found them very comfortable or practical for everyday wear. But they're certainly a happy looking bunch.

lovely shoot!

SO CUTE,SO REAL, THIS'S THE BEST THING TO HAVE FRIENDS :))))

They look so young! I don't even want to think about how terribly I dressed at that age!
Pure style joins pure fun!

FABU!!
How are these kids so chic at, like, age 12. This proves it - fashion is in the French bloodline! Great pic!
so cute! love this!! the knee high socks and boots are amazing!
http://fashionhedonism.blogspot.com
Beautiful picture! Love the girl on the right, with her dress, her socks and her boots!
Youth, glorious youth! They are all beautiful. Just LOVING them.........

aww they all look so cute! they look like theyre having such a fun time.
when I was about their age, I barely know fashion!
in the first photo....the lady on the left looks a lot like Irina Lazareanu...
Ah, kids.
so young and so fashionable.. love.
Scott, thank you for coming to Dallas! Great experience!
they look like real life gossip girl characters
great pic, scary kids
so, when i've moved and settled in paris, and my children turn out like this, am i pleased or irritated?
not sure - but the blue heels are terrific.
I wish I had friends... like these!
I'll be wearing my ankle boots with knee highs tomorrow thank you very much
Hi! I've been following your blog for quite some time so naturally I just had to get a copy of your book! It arrived last night via mail and I was mezmerised by it for the rest of the night... and it continued today.
The pictures are, if possible, even more incredible in print. I especially enjoyed the man with the drug dealer's suit and the swedish guy with the lab coat. Oh and the colors on p.105 are so beautiful! I'd love to do a painting on that one... In fact I'd love to make illustrations of them all!! I'll link them to you if I ever get around to publishing any :)
Thanks again so much for being such an inspiration!
xoxox, maria
oh and p.s. lovely pic!
wow!
they are so lovely and look so happy~~
Young, Chic and Fabulous!
actually: what gossip girl characters should look like. fashion consious but fresh faced and carefree teen-agers.
I never had this kind of style at the age they are...I bet these kids parents all look amazing too!
they are really funny, they are so differente, each of them.
and they are really cute.
Pictures, travels, fashion wekek and more,

Obsessed! Love love love it.

oh they are all so adorable...and chic of course
this picture is stylish, beautiful and so cheery... beautiful smiles and great style to match. i love it!
great shot.. you've really captured a moment here
they look so happy! great pic but i do wonder about children that grow up too fast. all they're missing is blackberries, ciggarettes and personal assistants and they could be on their way to a press conference.
still can't get behind tights/kneehighs/socks with open toed shoes. it's like socks and sandals no matter how nice the shoes are.
The ballast of the LV bag, heavy, giving weight. The lift of the ankle boot arced perfectly to extend the line of the leg off into the future... The closed mouth smile on the central man, the open mouth smile on the belted woman. The touching knees of the central woman
if I were to desire to win the America's Cup - I couldn't think of a more powerful way to design my ship, than to have these four as crew.
Ahoy,

I LOVE THAT PICTURE!! When I was younger, my cousins and I went to camp in France during the summer and we always had a blast! Brings back great memories!!
xoxo,

lekisskiss.blogspot.com --> just two best friends blogging all things fashion in nyc and chicago!!
They look like the cast of a sit-com! Franco-Friends, perhaps?
Oh to be free! I love this blog...I always get so lost in it when I should be doing my uni work- right now I wish I felt as free as they all look... take me there! Love the photo's ... my first post.
tres jolie!
I love the dress the girl has on the far right!! Such trendy young people!
http://mushitushi.blogspot.com
Good heavens, the young fashionistas of Paris. Best to enjoy it for what it is and not go into a depressed state about consumer culture inflicting the young.
Fun shot. I kind of like the blue sandals with the black tights . . .
this has to be a fashion shoot and these kids are models right?
it feels too perfect. too bourgeois.
there's not a hint of teen experimentation and rebelliousness in this pic, n'est-ce pas?
wow! they seem characters of Gossip Girl!
Nice shoot!
Hope my kids are this happy, even if not this fashionable in their teens... Its just enough trend with classic to work and likely a good mix of high/low. Or just affluent parents, but don't begrudge their opportunities...
i think your "friends" photos will start a new fashion - a huge trend of choosing the matching outfits together before going out with a friend
Which is funny and creative, i think.
It's a great pic, but also makes me a bit sad. Do kids get to be kids anymore?
Doesn't need to be analyzed, just cute as hell.
GREAT photo!
www.FashionSnag.com
cute kids
they all look so happy
JOY
leggings + open sandals = yes
adorable. just completely adorable. i love their exuberance. lovely shot!
oh wow! so stylish kids!
I loooove the outfit on the right. Must recreate somehow...thanks for the inspiration!
teenagers who are not wearing Abercrombie and Fitch-- it would be a success even if it wasn't so adorable!
Cool group!
They look so young yet so grown up at the same time! Ankle boots and long sock - an usual yet great combo!
best picture in a long time! fresh! finally something unpretentious and auto-indulgent... just like in the old days!
aaaaaaaaaaah, so sweet especially the one with the LV bag

"there's not a hint of teen experimentation and rebelliousness in this pic, n'est-ce pas?"
i wholeheartedly disagree. what i love about this photo is that they are dressed very well but they are able to retain their youthful vigour and carefree ways. the boy on the left with the wristband and funky graphic tee. the girl wearing leggings with her turquoise heels. and the other girl wearing knee-highs with ankle boots. who but the young would dare dress like that? i think it just seems strange to north americans because our kids don't dress nearly as well...heck even the adults here can't put together a coherent outfit quite as nicely and effortlessly. but this is how a lot of the youth dress in paris...my cousins are from paris and yup, this reminded me of them.

how are they not being kids? look at that girl with the open-mouthed smile and kicking her left leg up. or the way they're being all snuggly with each other and generally having a great time with their pals. they are playful and happy and smiling...they just happen to dress well compared to north american kids. i bet they are every bit as immature and inexperienced though! (in a good way:))
i love this pic! they look so happy

xx
You are amazing guys!
This is adorable
Ahahaha thats cool ! :p
Im the guy at left in black with my Y-3 tshirt, I cant believe that Im on the blog of Sartorialist ^^
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ..... thats a really nice pic .... hope their friendship stays that way .... and o yea ....they look nice too ... =)
Lovely smiles! And they are all so stylish . . .
They are so cute! I especially love the girl on the right.. her outfit is adorable and right on style time.
Your site is an original and I check back daily. I am inspired by you so much. www.verseastyle.com I would be honored if you ever had time to take a quick look :) xoxox Deanna
Living in Paris, teens with a good sense of style is not surprising to me. I have my little sister as an example.
But the heels. That's surprising - and great. It's not vulgar or trashy (like in most cases with teens and their awkward sense of style) and man don't I regret the Addidas period in junior high! ;)
Great great photo, these kids look awesome! And it seems that they are not really kids, more like young men and women. capt.charly is 21, his profile says, and he says he is the kid on the left. capt.charly - you and your friends are stylish people.
Energie
Lovely girls! I always loved a girl in a dress! They look like they are going to a photo shoot or something...
wish I had friends like that . . .BAAAA-naaanas
loved the kids shot...and loved the shoes even more. where can I find them? (thanks)
Lovely picture . They are very young, like 15 ?
Le jardin du Luxembourg is the best place !
I'm loving girls' clothes !
xx from Paris !
loooove the blue shoes!
girl on the right is brilliant. i couldn't love more! thx for capturing so much beauty and inspiring appreciation of art in your photography. i'm addicted!
I'm intrigued by these black tights and contrasting open toe heels-I only wish I could fully see the rest of her outfit! Both of the girls are adorable, needless to say, and the two fellows may be their best accessories. You are the company you keep!
These children are a nice change-of-pace on this website. They look trilled to be infront of the camera-unike the fashion editors and execs. I've always felt the best asset to any outfit is the persona that comes with it-and of course your smile. These kids hit the nail on the head! Very inspiring : )
this is so great, i wish teens here dressed that nicely!
come back to dallas soon...couldn't make it last night :(!!!!
i love the outfit on the girl on the right, but i just found this shot of her taken in the same outfit, and it just lost all of its luster. i love this pic bc it is young and full of life -- yet the other image is too model-y and uppity for my tastes, not Parisian at all!
http://www.styleandthecity.com/street-style-paris-fashion-week/2009/10/15/paris-fashion-week-la-mort-du-street-style-22-death-of-street-style-22/dsc_8558-425/
Anonymous Edgar C - I couldn't agree more.
I don't see these kids as priviledged or "growing up too fast". They dress differently from American kids yes but they look young and happy and I see absolutely nothing wrong with here.
wow!! european kids sure know how to dress right? i think it's in their blood... you would just never see this in the US but hopefully someday
wow i cant believe they are so young.. amazing spirit and style. they are bound for fame!
these kids are so chic and so, so, different to any teens you will find in Australia. I'm kind of glad though, wearing the heels during the day before I left school would have been such a killer. Love this pic though!
that is so cute ! i love it when you take friend pictures. they all look so good too, i love the brown haired girls knee high sock in those boots. awesome.
So much joy and energy.
They all look so happy, I love this picture!
the coolest teen clique of friends :)
How cute and chic are they? I love the turquoise strappy shoes on the girl in the middle. They give just a right pop of colour to the photo.
That girl on the right looks fantastic!
Polly x
wow... I S2 it.
Are these keys that the couple in the middle are wearing as necklaces? Brilliant!
Love the energy, love Paris :)
I love how this shot is not too cheesy and not "I'm too cool to smile". It's got the perfect balance.
Lovely photo!!! Tuilleries garden leaves your shoes totally white like those!! I love Paris...
Fantastic energy! So cute.
It was the 80s when I was that age... not so cute... polished cotton and velcro high-tops. Sigh.
I think I have her dress:) Beautiful!
Love this photo! Been following the blog for a few months now!
So cool and so young! Not a fan of the Y3 band but I do like the LV bag on a guy!
They are too cute! My favorite outfit by far is the girl on the right...but I love the oversized Vuitton, too!
SO YOUNG, SO CHIC!!!!
ahhhhh! to be young and wealthy!
wow. you know, lovely as per usual with your photos, but, I think their combined costumes cost more than my first semester in college.
This is what Teen Vogue attempts to do but never in a million years could get it right.
Ohhhmmmm, Great capture of the Beauty of the Youth!!!!! Spring again!!!!
parisian teenagers!! Love!! I guess it's something in the water haha...
their smiles, so cute!!!
www.jetblackdye.blogspot.com
This image is pure joy!
Amazing! They look so cute, i want to be friends with them!
money is fun!
Could they be any cuter?!?
Definitely living the charmed life, and nice to see they enjoy it.
this is the energy conveyed in the photo (to me): you wanted to take a photo of the central girl with the blue shoes. you motioned that her friend (the girl) could also be in the picture. The two guys also take this as an invitation and the three of them rush into the picture as you're about to take the shot. hahaha.
love the guy with the pink shirt. my highschool snapshots never looked this cool. they remind me of classy bratz dolls!
those boots and knee-high socks... wow... very cool.
CAN T BELIEVE HOW THEY ENJOY HAVING THAT STYLE TOGETHER. LOVE IT!
http://thechicmuse.blogspot.com
one day this shoot will be considered as a Vintage coolness & Inspiration for many..
I <3
FvaD.
AWW AM SO JELIOUS OF THE LV BAG :(. LOL ANYWAYS NICE PICS
So fun- love the energy in this photo.
Anon 4:40: you are so right. The other photo to me looks too Lolita/hooker-style, whereas here she looks fun and innocent, a girl any mom would be proud of.
It's nice to see kids put thought and care into how they look. Not the baggy T-shirt/jeans uniform. I grew up in the Midwest and now live in France, and I enjoy the way more kids here play with fashion.
Of course, when you have youth, you can make anything look good. The pictures of older people are more interesting style-wise because the individuals aren't model-gorgeous yet look great. That is what we mortals aspire to.
So gorgeous! A stylish and happy picture - I love your photos of friends - they just radiate happiness.
What an amazing photo <3
oh la la, Paris!!!
seems like even babies are born there with style attitude in their blood.
love this picture.
x
Too young for Vuitton logo, I think- it seems matronly, and while I like the blue shoes, the girl in them looks like she's trying on her mother's clothes-perhaps she's not fully comfortable in her skin to pull off such a style, whereas her friend, kicking up her leg in worn boots, looks ready for Teen Vogue or Seventeen. Happy, original, and confident.
Oh I love this picture! It could be an ad for something! They look so happy and carefree! I love the energy in this picture, they look like they have a lot of fun, and nothing to worry about! The way life should be! :)
http://sequinsandbangles.blogspot.com
Wow those are some fashionable kids
I love this picture. Its so real.
Love the girl on the right, her dress, the boots the knee highs and the red bag equal delish!!!
Why are they all so beautiful?
juliet xxx
Wow, love this photo, they all look really happy! The girl on the right looks GORGEOUS, I would love to be able to do that knee high socks/ankle boots look like her!
bunch of chipmunks! their energy just jumps out at us. i want to be there (et je volerais leurs chaussures!)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this photo! Can't get enough of it... You can't miss it's Paris!
the second boy and the second girl (seen from left) could be twins...
warp!
OH how I hated "these" kids when I was their age
They look like they are straight out of a teen drama or something. Like an incredibly chic gossip girl? Wonderful photo! =)

Confidence and happiness at any age is stylish.

OMG YOU'RE SOOO CUTE!! YOU ALL ARE CUTE!! MY FAVORITE POST HERE EVER (SINCE IM PROBABLY THEIR SAME AGE)!! The kids are doing good. I die.
Ah! What a great group! Love the energy and colors!
Are they done with their homework ?
Geez, they are so young. Can't they just wear Converse and jeans like everyone their age ?
(I know I sound 65 years old. But i'm not)
i love this picture. makes me miss my friends back home though. i am definitely going to start wearing knee high socks with ankle boots now ~
I really love this pic, it so enthusuastic. And I like the socks in ankle boots :)
Real Friendship, I miss my friends...
http://ko-rethinking.blogspot.com
what a great pic! it's sooo full of joy- amazing!
Ohhhhh dios, esa arenilla blanca en Paris da miedo!!
Bellisimos los niños.
this picture makes my day.
"Geez, they are so young. Can't they just wear Converse and jeans like everyone their age ?"
In Paris, most people their age do not dress in just Converse and jeans.
Thanks for this photo.. I'm wearing my knee high socks and a pair of ankle boots today.. saw the photo yesterday!
xoxo
thank you so much for this picture, you're definitely a genius !!!
see you at the next fashion week :))
marilo (the girl with blue heels)
I fell in love with their shoes!!
can you shot more young people?
it's very interesting to see what they wear.
THANKS!
I wish MY friends were this fashionable. They just think I look weird when I wear stuff like this.
I wish I was able to afford Louis Vuitton when I was that age!!!!! Lucky- must have generous parents!
This is nothing! I went to Paris this past April and I saw two little girls... maybe around 10-12 years,... and they were little fashionistas ... i clearly remember their lovely thigh high boots ... they just mesmerized me... they didn't look like "mini adults" they looked their age but simply dresses very good :)
and yes... I love love love the girl on left with the knee high tights :)
oh i lurve the dress on the girl on the right!! anyone knows the brand of the dress??
- star -
Lovely! Their energy is infectious and just makes you want to smile. That's youth!
Fantastic shot! I wana be friends with them!! V stylish bunch
XXX
They look so happy! *melts*
I've seen the girl with the knee highs over at stockholm streetstyle, but she looks even better with a smile on her face.
ooooh! the way both girls are wearing their shoes is adorable
http://onpinkavenue.blogspot.com
oh gosh.
this is a great picture.
They look like the characters in the 'LOL' movie, if you have seen it! (it's a French movie with Sophie Marceau)
Oh, to be French. SO jealous!
- 21arrondissement.com
I LOVE this photo..! :D Suuper!
I'd actually say it's one of my favs!
great work!
iria.
wow these kids are killin' it!nice
oh i love how they're all so chic and so french
Love this photo!
Gorgeous shot, makes me smile. Love all the outfits, minus LV bag but even that manages to just fit in. They all have such lovely smiles :)
I'm 16, and I must say no one at my high school has that great of style! I may be the only one that doesn't wear Hollister every day.
Wow this is one of my new favourites of yours!
Love the happy atmosphere and of course their amazing outfits. Those electric blue shoes are particularly awesome.
Hope I was that stylish at 14!
I love the girl with the knee highs and boots!
LOVE the girl on the right! I have all the pieces of her outfit just never thought of putting them together! - now i know what i'll be wearing tommorrow !
beautiful pic !!
faces,expressions,outfits, energy
congratulations
hugs
I just love the photographs of friends you have been doing a lot lately. I find it more inspiring than pictures of single people, especially when the group is like this, an eclectic group of personal style.
I really wish I was friends with these guys!
i want nothing more than to have this.
this has to be one of the cutest pictures ever.
Viva le joi de vi!
OMG do they look like this everyday?
what a chic and fab teens!
pictures like this make me even more want to go to paris..
wow...they seem they are in an advertising campaing pic!! lol...they're so chic
I love the shoes of the boy who's holding the LV bag..the are great
So parisian !!!! the LV bag for a guy is a bit too much...but the model is really really young so he can dare everything. Beautiful pic.
Does anyone know where I can get the dress the girl on the right is wearing???
Okay, but when senior citizens wear hose with sandals, no one thinks of them as chic.
Seriously though, what kind of 15 year olds dress like this? Do they go to fashion school? I refuse to believe this is normal Parisian teenage garb.
The ankle boot/knee high thing is rather commonplace in Japan...FYI
Wish I was that cool when I was 15!
they all look so genuinely happy. a great photo!
french gossip girl moment =)
xx
H
Adorable!
It's so perfect it's like they've been cast.
I hate to be a killjoy because they are so exhuberent and lovely... but the LV Keepall is an imitation (..handles way too long)
A warm moment captured none the less, put it down to youthful naiveté
wow
what a lovely snap.
coool
leathericon
its nice to see my fellow teen enjoying fashion the way it should be enjoyed.
@Mickeyd..... that is not the keepall that is just a Vuitton man bag.
Lovely picture Scott.
I wanna be their friend too! the coolest ever by Paris...
I love the fun fashion fusion look especially with the girls footwear/legwear where anything goes. The aqua shoes look so difficult to walk in though. Hope there are some ballerinas in that bag. Could only be in Paris. Lovely photo!
They look so young, it's nice they have already a sense of style as long as they keep this "freshness"
