I love those shorts. And that yellow belt is just stunning. What an ensemble!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 AM) :

love his shoes, love his shorts and love his belt!

Blogger Jo said ... (8:35 AM) :

This man has an amazing sense of proportion!!
I wouldn't think this length of shorts would work with his thick calves, but it does beautifully.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:47 AM) :

Now those are a pair of manly legs that cry out for shorts. My eyes are drawn down to the socks, too

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:56 AM) :

great head to toe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:57 AM) :

WARRIOR flannel.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:02 AM) :

i like this mix of colors and patterns. he is hanging tough.

Blogger James Jean said ... (9:08 AM) :

Those mailman shorts are very dope. I'd just hike it up right about the knee though

Blogger Sartorial Vancouver said ... (9:12 AM) :

It is all in the shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:13 AM) :

Blogger Stacy said ... (9:16 AM) :

those are definitely the sweetest shorts ive seen in awhile - and i love his yellow belt

Blogger Philippe said ... (9:17 AM) :

He looks great...very nice outfit

Anonymous Shauna lee said ... (9:25 AM) :

Those calves are insane!!

Anonymous stolichnaya said ... (9:57 AM) :

Oh, man- I want those so bad. Am I going to have to make them? Love this guy.

Blogger K said ... (10:24 AM) :

Amazing outfit and amazing picture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:35 AM) :

loving the look love the Dries snickers.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:21 AM) :

I love it when you attend Pitti. I find the attendees have the BEST personal style, better than Men's Milan Fashion Week. MORE PICS!!!!!!

Blogger Siru said ... (11:35 AM) :

Those calves have had some serious workout.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:04 PM) :

Wow I hope to have as much style as him when i'm older. Plus those calves are killer!

Anonymous Lucy said ... (12:23 PM) :

wow, he shows that style doesn't have to fade with age.
i hope i'm not afraid to be as fashionable as him when i get older haha.

Blogger May Kasahara said ... (12:26 PM) :

I LOVE him, his glasses and his HAIR. ♥

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

What kind of shoes is he wearing? The shorts work with the socks, miraculously.

Anonymous The Treasurer said ... (1:06 PM) :

Do those shoes have laces? It's hard to tell. I want more info, I love the gummy sole.

Anonymous monkeysw said ... (1:17 PM) :

Anonymous Chago said ... (1:19 PM) :

I have calves like that, but skinny ankles. I've never thought about wearing long socks to draw the attention north to the calf region, but I'm taking notes from this very stylish and fit gentleman.

The only thing I'm unsure about is the pink glasses, too much?

Blogger Maria Confer said ... (1:32 PM) :

Ha!! Love his shorts.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:49 PM) :

Very cool indeed.

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (1:55 PM) :

wow...brave but all comes together

love the yellow belt

Anonymous pandora said ... (2:11 PM) :

i can never tell if people like this dress so fantastically intentionally. they look so very relaxed, almost as if they just happened to put on something fabulous. it gives it such real feeling.

Blogger Un Monito said ... (2:57 PM) :

Really sick style! Love the mix of patterns - ESPECIALLY, the socks!

Blogger Tereneh Idia said ... (3:15 PM) :

I cannot think of words to describe how much I love this man. The hair, the glasses, the jackets, the shorts, belt, lovely legs and sock! I mean it is wonderful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:16 PM) :

I want to be this cool when I get old.

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:31 PM) :

Where does he get those wonderful pants! And...well, everything else.

Anonymous Bombshell Kitten said ... (3:43 PM) :

That is the best-dressed older gentleman I've seen in a long while.

Anonymous Stephen said ... (4:04 PM) :

One could not hope for a better-cut pair of short trousers than those. This man has pulled a well-studied shorts/jacket combination perfectly, thus avoiding that Haircut 100 look.

Blogger HEY! said ... (4:42 PM) :

this oldy reminds me of my science teacher as a child!

i love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:03 PM) :

funky and great! like some of you said, love the glasses, hair, bearf..sock details, shoes! all of it!! i hope i am this cool too when im his age!

Blogger Mumei said ... (5:03 PM) :

i'm not normally a fan of shorts and socks but he totally pulls it off.

Blogger Mattis said ... (5:15 PM) :

Now that is a hip older man.
And damn that is some muscles.

Anonymous sandra said ... (5:25 PM) :

Gosh i love a man with nice calves.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (5:33 PM) :

I like his shoes!

Anonymous olafgermany said ... (6:13 PM) :

the shoes are givenchy and he is very sexy...look at his legs...

Blogger Anton Seim said ... (7:20 PM) :

What calve workout does this gentleman do, geez, those things are cut out of marble.

Blogger Laura M. said ... (7:32 PM) :

that is a charming man!

Anonymous sanmiguelense said ... (7:52 PM) :

Please more Pitti goers---by far the most interesting and inspiring style! Thankfully you are there!

Blogger Tayo said ... (9:01 PM) :

This outfit wouldn't be complete without the vein on his right calf.

I would not want to get kicked by him.

These shoes really say it all!

Blogger Roy Rosenthal said ... (11:21 PM) :

So, uh, yeah...I'm biting his style. Heading to the uniform store tomorrow and then going to get back on the road bike.

Anonymous Emilie said ... (11:37 PM) :

The play on proportion is beautiful. I also love how the jacket works with the socks.

Perfection I think!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:46 PM) :

I'm in awe. Completely bad-ass.

Blogger Bayley. said ... (2:16 AM) :

Wow, his socks kinda match his blazer! Awesome pic!

Blogger MM said ... (3:47 AM) :

This is great!
that pop of colour with the yellow belt is perfection!

Blogger A Super Dilettante said ... (7:08 AM) :

I love these shorts. They don't flare up at the bottom. A lot of shorts I bought recently do flare up at the bottom.

Blogger Meghan said ... (7:27 AM) :

holy cats look at those legs!

Blogger Jazzbuff630 said ... (9:44 AM) :

This guy must do 850+ on the leg press. Greek statues have nothing on him.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:34 AM) :

JUST GREAT - I start thinking that Asian (Japanese?) men really have some special feeling for style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:00 PM) :

He kind of looks like David Suzuki. Somewhat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:35 PM) :

ha awesome.

this reminds me of the nyt article i read about yesterday. not sure if you saw or not

Blogger Charlene said ... (11:17 AM) :

its not even about the shorts or shoes or jacket anymore.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:33 AM) :

Wow... He should have cycled a lot to deliver the mail, he's got awesome calves and hes quite proud to show them off. Such a pity he's a fashion victim, looks like a real man.

Blogger dosebot said ... (1:16 PM) :

jeeez he has some buff calfs

Blogger seawallrunner said ... (12:05 AM) :

there's a confident and fit man.

Blogger Passport Stamps said ... (4:11 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:36 PM) :

I'm pretty sure his name is Hiroyuki Sasaki, President of the Tomorrowland label from Japan. Great article about a collaboration they did last year with Jean Paul Knott on the Monocle site,

This man is gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:54 PM) :
