High style Americana. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. What fabulous lighting! Love the black stockings, shoes, bag and bangs. I'm feeling very patriotic - having been born on Memorial Day, this photo speaks volumes to me.

I love all the different black and white lines in the outfit, and then there's just the maroon satchel, it's so eye catching!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:17 PM) :

Fabulous.... but question: is that a dress, or baggy shorts? Look a the dart on the left leg, and the way it blouses out, esp. at the hemline. If this is a shorts jumper thing, I want one. How sweet!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:27 PM) :

It is a stunning visual story as you scroll down the picture to see the horizontal stripes of her blouse followed by vertical stripes of her skirt almost mirroring the vertical columns.
The shadows that extend the stripe effect is the perfect finish.

Loving the 20s vibe

(For those who are curious about the brogues, Church's (UK) does them for £210. Or if you don't want to splash out, go for Topshop ones. If not, Melissa does plastic versions as well)

Blogger Laurence John said ... (6:49 AM) :

vintage yet modern.

Anonymous Ash said ... (8:36 PM) :

I adore her hair, but I feel like her outfit would be better with red pumps and some sort of semi long necklace - perhaps a golden heart necklace or an antique locket.
The bag is great.

Blogger Frivolous fabulous said ... (10:57 PM) :

It's a very smart play on conflicting stripes with those class loafers.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:58 AM) :

i wish i've could have taken this picture.

Blogger Dina Belyayeva said ... (5:23 PM) :

It would be perfect if it were not for the bag that looks out of line with the strict monochromatic look. When you put bag next to the shoes the outfit speaks of a bank heist rather than an idle afternoon on an island.
