Coming Up At The Sartorialist

Show season is right around the corner and I'm gearing up for another great trip to Europe to cover the shows/guest blog for and shoot a page for GQ.

Super exciting addition!!
I'm adding Pitti Uomo, the men's fashion trade show in Florence, to my coverage for this season.
Everyone tells me this is when the real men's tailoring peacocks come out to strut their stuff.

Here is the tentative schedule:

Jan 9th - 14th Pitti Uomo, Florence
Jan 14th - 19th Men's Milan
Jan 20th - 23rd Antwerp GQ
Jan 26th - 29th Men's Paris

Feb 3rd - 10th Men's & Women's New York

Feb 14th - 17th Sweden???
Feb 18th - 26th Women's, Milan
Feb 26th - Mar 6th Women's Paris

You're not covering the couture shows between mens milan & mens paris? why not?!

Blogger The Sartorialist said ... (10:05 AM) :

I have never been to Antwerp so I thought it would be a great time to go.

I will be in Paris for a few days before mens starts so If the time works I might get a couple of the couture shows.

don't tell me.. you're coming to florence?!? taking all your amazing photos?!? don't you even try to stay only in fortezza da basso, you have to do the town.. so curious to see what the results would be!

Don't you put "???" after Sweden, quite many good things are happening there! And in Antwerp you should really visit a store called "Walter" in St. Antoniusstraat 12. It's owned by Walter Van Beirendonck. I have never seen anything like it! Not in Paris, not in London (exept Dover Street Market)...

Enjoy! : )

Antwerp through the lens of the Sartorialist. Can't wait to see what details you will manage to capture of my native city and its' residents.

When in Antwerp, some more places you can go to: MOMU (fashion Museum) and the shops of the "Antwerp 6", like Dries. Do check out this site before leaving:

How incredibly exciting!

On a slightly different note: do you ever intend to visit 'events' from various customs/sports that have greatly influenced fashion (eg. Golf, Equestrianism)?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:33 AM) :

If info needed on Antwerp ?
Just let me know.
I am a resident.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 PM) :

I must remind you that Copenhagen Fashion Week (the biggest and most interesting fashio sjow in the northern part of Europe) is held from the 7-11 of feb. Forget about Sweden and go for the best thing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:20 PM) :

I really hope you'll be able to come to Sweden. May I ask where you're going?
It would be great to see you around, you're very welcome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:01 PM) :

You are more than welcome to come to Sweden. We look forward to have you here!
Regards. Johan

so you'll be in milan on 18Feb? i'll try to look out for you. we're planning to drive down there for the weekend - either florence or milan. by the way... do you have plans on coming here to germany? just curious.

have a great trip, anyway. i'm sure all the pics will come out fabulous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:13 AM) :

You are always welcome too Malmoe, Sweden! :)

Whgen in Antwerp, you have to go to Luis, Huis A. Boon(best gloves), NationalStraat, and also to the south near Anne D's shop where lots of koolkats hang out!
